Abstract

The existence of a study program can be part of the solution to problems faced by community members/institutions related to efforts to provide services /guidance/assistance to community members/institutions that are directly related to the scientific development of study programs (1) strengthening the scientific fields of lecturers, students and postgraduate students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang who are multi/inter/transdisciplinary; (2) strengthen the position of study programs in developing education and learning programs based on research for the development of education/non-education in Indonesia. In this study using a participatory action research approach aimed at improving the quality of education with the Educational Institution Empowerment Management Program at the Muslimat Khodijah I Kindergarten, Gondang Pace Nganjuk which aims to determine the increase in the quality of education after empowering educational institutions.. After this research was carried out, the results were obtained: The success of the collaborative recognition activity program for lecturers, students, and students does not only depend on the collaborative team of lecturers, students, and students but depends heavily on the cooperation of all parties involved. Empowerment management of educational institutions (services in Muslimat Khodijah I Kindergarten, Gondang Pace Nganjuk) is realized by participating in activities that are implemented in joint activities, namely Congregational participation, Congregational spiritual coaching, Compensation for orphans from congregations, Departure of Muslimat Khodijah I Kindergarten students, Gondang Pace Nganjuk.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss educational management's role in improving graduates' quality through character education at MA Al Qodiri Jember and MBI Amantul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto. The discussion reveals the concepts and implications of the role of educational management in the context of two Islamic boarding school-based schools using multi-site qualitative research methods. Data was obtained through closed interviews, documentation, and discussion forums to fulfill the research, and then the data was analyzed through triangulation. Educational management at both schools plays a crucial role in emphasizing student character formation. Developing a curriculum oriented towards character education and implementing character education programs is the main focus in producing graduates who are academically superior and have good character. With a directed and integrated approach, MA Al Qodiri Jember and MBI Amantul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto emphasized that character education is not just an addition but the essence of education itself, which forms quality individuals who are ready to contribute positively to society. This research underlines the importance of character education in forming a young generation who is solid and responsible in facing future challenges.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the role of the media and public relations techniques in the context of educational institutions. Educational institutions have a big responsibility to convey information to the public, both through print media and through direct communication with stakeholders. So that the media and public relations techniques play a very important role in building a positive image of educational institutions and maintaining good relations with the public. This research uses secondary data obtained through literature studies, scientific journals, books, articles, and other sources of information related to media topics and public relations techniques in educational institutions. The data is analyzed systematically and critically to gain an in-depth understanding of the concepts, theories and practices related to the use of media and public relations techniques in an educational context. The results of this study indicate that the media and public relations techniques play an important role in building a positive image of educational institutions, increasing stakeholder engagement, and increasing effective communication between educational institutions and the community. The use of public media such as newspapers, television, radio, and social media has opened new opportunities for educational institutions to convey information widely and quickly to the public. Public relations techniques such as press conferences, promotional activities, and direct interaction with the community are also an important part of the educational institution's communication strategy. The role of media in public relations in educational institutions is very important and diverse. Educational institutions rely on media to reach a wider audience, including students, parents, prospective students, alumni, donors, policymakers and the general public.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of AI-based Word Walls on the learning outcomes of Fiqh students at MIN 1 Probolinggo. Highlighting the role of innovative learning tools in improving student achievement, the research utilizes a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving 42 first-grade students from MIN 1 Probolinggo. Over four weeks, the experimental group engaged with Word Walls, while the control group continued with traditional teaching methods. The results showed a significance value (Sig.) (2-tailed) of 0.000 for Pair 1 and 0.000 for Pair 2, both below 0.05, indicating a substantial effect of Word Wall media on student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the independent t-test revealed a Sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.000, underscoring a significant difference in average learning outcomes between the Word Wall media and conventional methods. In conclusion, the use of AI-based Word Walls substantially improves learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects at MIN 1 Probolinggo.

Abstract

This article aims to delve into the multifaceted process of character education with principals, focusing on the pivotal roles of teachers and educational staff. Drawing from qualitative research and philosophical insights, we examine three critical stages of character development: building teacher character with principal leadership, fostering the character of educational staff, and nurturing student character in madrasah. Data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and observation. Through a comprehensive analysis, we underscore the significance of teacher character as the cornerstone of character education, emphasizing the importance of embodying values such as integrity, morality, and trustworthiness. By synthesizing research findings and philosophical perspectives, this article aims to provide valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing character education in madrasas, ultimately fostering the growth of students who exemplify integrity, compassion, and resilience in their everyday lives. Disciplined attitudes and democratic leadership are certainly an adequate basis for building the quality of graduates, and this is built through cultural and character education as national education goals.

Abstract

This research explores public relations strategies in educational institutions, focusing on the descriptive qualitative research method. Specifically, the study examines the public relations (PR) approach of Al-Manar Semboro Jember Islamic boarding school, which emphasizes interpersonal communication to cultivate a positive institutional image and foster trust within the community. Utilizing a humanistic approach, the school addresses community perceptions, assumptions, and needs promptly and effectively, prioritizing truth, speed, accuracy, friendliness, and comfort in its communication efforts. Key steps taken by the Islamic boarding school include home visits to engage with guardians, holding evaluation meetings, organizing religious activities and open days, and involving the community in school events, alongside providing a suggestion box for public feedback. These efforts underscore the school's commitment to enhancing staff communication skills, empathy, honesty, ethics, and emotional intelligence while prioritizing community needs and feedback. Through these initiatives, Al-Manar Semboro Jember Islamic Boarding School strives to maintain satisfactory relationships with stakeholders and deliver quality educational services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the model of improving the competence of Islamic religious education teachers in the perspective of Madrasah-based management, a new direction based on psychological functions towards the development and progress of teachers as educators. This study was conducted in Islamic educational institutions at the elementary madrasah level. The researcher used a qualitative case study type approach. Data were collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques and then analyzed through several steps, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that, in an effort to improve the competence of Islamic religious education teachers in elementary madrasahs, including innovative strategies in developing teacher competencies, collaboration-based competency approach, technology integration in transforming islamic religious education learning. The results of the study are expected to provide benefits to realize the improvement of the competence of Islamic religious education teachers in elementary madrasahs from the perspective of madrasah-based management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore how the acculturation of Islam with local culture in Indonesia in social practices involving dissemination through local wisdom. This research focuses on how Islam and local values synergize in various aspects of social life, as well as how Islamic values that prioritize justice, deliberation, and harmony can enrich local traditions in creating peace and social harmony. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type, the results of the data are collected and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach and based on Islamic thinkers. The results of the research show that the acculturation of Islam and local culture creates a positive synthesis between religious teachings and local traditions. Islam, with principles such as tawhid (the unity of God) and maslahat (the common good), can synergize with local concepts that prioritize balance between humans, nature, and God. In addition, conflict resolution through customary deliberations involving Islamic principles such as syura (deliberation) shows greater effectiveness in creating social peace, as it is more acceptable and relevant to local social values. This finding is expected to provide an understanding of how Islam can enrich and strengthen local wisdom in building a more just, peaceful, and harmonious society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media in public relations management in Islamic higher education institutions with a focus on ethical governance and use, strategic platform utilization, and its impact on institutional reputation. As digital communication becomes increasingly important in higher education, universities must adapt to this trend by implementing strategies that align with institutional values ​​and effectively meet the needs of their stakeholders. This study explores social media management practices using a qualitative approach and a case study method. Data was collected through interviews with students, lecturers, and staff, as well as analysis of documentation of social media platforms used by the university. The results show that ethical governance and the use of social media have strengthened institutional communication by aligning published content with Islamic values ​​and ethics. Strategically, the institution has utilized various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, to target specific audiences and increase engagement. The impact on reputation is evident in the increase in public interaction and positive perceptions despite the potential risks arising from irrelevant or untimely content. This study is expected to contribute to understanding effective social media governance in higher education institutions, emphasizing the importance of ethical practices, strategic content delivery, and reputation management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of madrasah principal leadership in shaping students' character through an approach based on Islamic values. This study is based on the importance of character development in the madrasah educational environment that not only emphasizes academic achievement, but also the formation of students' morals according to Islamic teachings. This study was conducted using a qualitative method through semi-structured interviews and observations of two madrasah principals under the auspices of the Pondok Pesantren Education and Social Foundation. The results of the study indicate that the principal applies an exemplary and disciplined approach to build a madrasah culture that values integrity, while the principal of Madrasah Diniyah uses a humanist approach by establishing close personal relationships with students. The contribution of these findings shows that different but complementary leadership strategies can create a conducive learning environment for student character development, and emphasizes the importance of integrity and empathy in building trust between leaders, staff, and students in madrasahs. This study is expected to provide practical insights for madrasah managers in optimizing a leadership approach that is in accordance with the context of education based on Islamic values.
