Abstract

Introduction: Anaemia is one of the problems that often occurs in adolescent health, especially adolescent girls. the prevalence of anaemia in adolescents aged 15-24 years is 32%, meaning that it is estimated that as many as 3-4 adolescents out of a total of 10 adolescents suffer from anaemia. Adolescents are vulnerable to health risks due to rapid body development and adequate nutritional intake is one of the factors that can affect nutritional status in adolescents, the results of the study explained that the lack of nutritional intake has an impact on the nutritional status of adolescents.the impact of anaemia experienced by adolescent girls will make adolescents feel lethargic, can reduce memory ability so that academic achievement is not optimal and can also have a more serious impact, considering that they are prospective mothers who will become pregnant and give birth to babies, thereby increasing the risk of maternal death, giving birth to premature babies and low birth weight. Translated with DeepL.com (free version). Objective: This study aims to determine the factors that cause anaemia in adolescent girls. Method: Literature study of five scientific articles obtained through google scholar database published between 2028 and 2023. Result: All studies show that there are several factors that cause anaemia in adolescent girls. Conclusion: Factors that can cause anaemia in adolescent girls include menstrual conditions, unbalanced nutritional intake, eating and drinking patterns, non-compliance with Fe tablet consumption and lack of knowledge.

Abstract

Introduction: Breastfeeding is a natural event for a woman. However, breastfeeding problems that often arise in the early postpartum period (puerperal or lactation period) are breast engorgement. Breast engorgement is a blockage of milk due to the narrowing of the lactiferous ducts or by glands that are not emptied. The impact that will be caused if the breast milk dam is not resolved, namely mastitis and breast abscess, will occur. The use of cabbage or cabbage leaf compresses can be a non-pharmacological treatment. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of cabbage leaf compresses on breast swelling in postpartum mothers. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design. Method: The design used is Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sample of this study was postpartum mothers who experienced breast swelling in TPMB in the Ciamis Health Center Working Area. The number of respondents was 30 postpartum mothers who were divided into 2 groups (intervention and control groups). Each group consisted of 15 postpartum mothers. Result: The results of the statistical tests using the Mann Whitney U test p-value were 0.000, which means that cabbage leaf compresses affect breast swelling in postpartum mothers in TPMB in the Ciamis Health Center Working Area. Conclusion: There is an effect of cabbage leaf compresses on breast swelling in post-partum mothers with a P-value of 0.000.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting remains a significant nutritional issue characterized by chronic malnutrition, negatively impacting children's growth, development, and productivity throughout their lives. Proper nutrition, particularly during the first 1,000 days of life, is essential to prevent stunting. The lack of protein intake, especially from animal sources, is a major contributing factor to stunting in Indonesia. Objective: The purpose of this public service was to increase the knowledge of mothers with toddlers and health cadres regarding the importance of animal protein intake as part of the "Isi Piringku" campaign to prevent stunting in Sindangrasa Village, Ciamis Regency. Method: This public service was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage involved coordination with local authorities for permission and logistical arrangements. The implementation stage included pre-test knowledge assessments, an educational session using slide presentations and leaflets, and interactive discussions. The evaluation stage involved post-test assessments to measure knowledge improvement. Result: The service was attended by 30 participants, consisting of health cadres and mothers with toddlers. Pre-test results showed that 50% of participants had moderate knowledge, while 30% had low knowledge about the role of animal protein in preventing stunting. After the educational session, the percentage of participants with good knowledge increased to 53.33%, while those with moderate knowledge decreased to 46.67%. Conclusion: The findings suggest that education using slide presentations and leaflets is effective in increasing knowledge about stunting prevention through balanced nutrition. Raising awareness among mothers and health cadres is crucial in promoting behavior changes that support adequate animal protein intake to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Background & Objective: Back pain in pregnant women is one of the most common discomforts experienced by pregnant women. This back pain is typically felt by pregnant women during the third trimester of pregnancy, around 28–40 weeks of gestation. One approach to reducing back pain involves the use of kinesiotaping. Kinesiotaping is a new method of applying tape used to prevent and rehabilitate injuries. The objective of this study is to review literature, articles, and research documents on the management of back pain in pregnant women using kinesiotaping. Method: The method used is a literature review, involving the collection of data from the Google Scholar database from 2022 to 2025. The selected literature data were full-text journals in Indonesian. Result: Kinesio taping is a non-pharmacological method used to alleviate back pain in pregnant women. This therapy works by stabilizing joints, improving muscle function and position, and reducing pain receptor stimulation, thereby helping to reduce pain and strengthen abdominal muscles. Conclusion: Based on the literature review, kinesiotaping has been proven to be an effective non-pharmacological method for alleviating back pain in pregnant women, particularly in the third trimester. This therapy improves joint stability, enhances muscle function, and reduces pain receptor stimulation, thereby providing comfort and improving the quality of life for pregnant women.

Abstract

Introduction : Anemia in adolescent girls and its various impacts are still a national and regional problem. Health education activities through a combination of lecture methods with leaflet media and checking HB levels in adolescents are still one of the solutions to prevent and overcome the problem of anemia in adolescent girls through increasing knowledge and awareness of adolescent girls regarding the importance of fulfilling nutrition during adolescence. Objective : This community service aims to provide education to adolescents directly and can check Haemoglobin (Hb). Methods : The method used in the Anemia Prevention education activity is a lecture using E-Leaflet media and also checking HB levels in adolescent girls. Results : This activity was significant in providing adolescents with an understanding of anemia, how to overcome anemia, and how to take blood supplement tablets as well as the knowledge of Hb levels, most of which were in the normal category, namely HB levels> 11 gr/dl. Conclusion : Based on the results of Community Service activities, education about anemia to adolescent girls in the Ciherang environment with lecture methods supported by leaflets can increase knowledge about anemia and can determine Hb levels.
