Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The post-acclimatization stage is a critical period for Lase banana (Musa acuminata L.) plants derived from tissue culture, as they must adapt to open-field environmental conditions. The application of photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) and chitosan has the potential to enhance plant growth and development, as well as improve the tolerance of banana plants during the post-acclimatization stage. The primary objective of this study was to obtain Lase banana seedlings from tissue culture with optimal field growth through the application of PSB and chitosan. The experiment was conducted using a split-plot design in a field setting, with the main plots representing PSB concentrations (10, 20, and 30 mL/L) and the subplots representing chitosan concentrations (10, 15, and 20 mL/L). Data were analyzed using ANOVA at the 5% significance level and further tested using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed a significant interaction between PSB at 20 mL/L and chitosan at 15 mL/L for several parameters, including root number and length, plant fresh weight, and total chlorophyll content of Lase banana plants.

Abstract

Indonesia is located between three collisions of active plate tectonics (Pacific, Eurasia, and Australia), resulting in a high seismicity zone, especially along the subduction zone. Besides the subduction zone, there are also many faults as a result of these collisions. As the earthquake source, both are controlled by focal mechanisms. Focal mechanism is the geometry of fault movements. Unfortunately, Indonesia's earthquake catalog data is not complete. There is missing information in some focal mechanism data, especially the data with more than 6 Magnitudes between January 1st, 1973, and February 1st, 2023. To complete the focal mechanism data, 1-D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is applied as the common and powerful method of Machine Learning. Started by grouping the earthquake catalog data with clear focal mechanism information as the training data with its training label and otherwise as the test data with the unknown label, then applied these training and label data to convolutional layer with some neurons, CNN can estimate focal mechanism (label) of the test data. This process is done iteratively, and a good model is observed with little loss value in the L curve.

Abstract

The increase in population from migration coupled with natural growth resulted in a high population density in Yogyakarta City, with a negative impact of traffic congestion due to the number of vehicles that were not proportional to road capacity. One of the efforts to lessen congestion was through efficient public transportation. Trans Jogja can be one of the solutions to this problem. However, despite having up to 90 stops in Yogyakarta City, the existing stop locations are not evenly distributed. Thus, in order to propose appropriate bus stop locations, this study aimed to utilize the weighting and utilization of GIS, based on a number of factors usithe ng fuzzy logic method. The result showed that the weight of eh parameter also influenced locations with a high suitability. Values with a high match were pixel values ranging from 6.824 to 9.49. The location of high suitability was close to the road around the location with a high level of crowds, such as office areas, shopping centers, hotels, educational facilities, and tourism. This study proved that fuzzy logic could be used as a tool in spatial analysis to obtain criteria for a location by considering the probability of correctness of each selected parameter.
