Abstract

This research aims to analyze the literature review of madrasa head strategies in improving the quality of madrasa education. This research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with stages of determining themes, searching, selecting literature, analysis, and interpretation, drafting, and disseminating results. The research was conducted using 20 articles resulting from a selection of 38 articles obtained from various sources with publication years from 2016-2022. The focus of the study is on 3 things, namely programs, strategies, and implications of the madrasa head's strategy in improving the quality of education. The results of the research show that: 1) the programs implemented by madrasah heads are diverse and varied, most madrasah heads produce quality madrasahs by first improving the quality and competence of their teachers. 2) the madrasa head's strategy for achieving madrasa quality has its own characteristics depending on the type, leadership style and environment of the madrasa. 3) the implications of the madrasa head have a direct impact on the quality of education in the madrasa, both human resources, academic and non-academic

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan Negara kesatuan dengan banyaknya keberagaman, baik suku, ras, budaya bahkan agama. Moderasi beragama menjadi perbincangan hangat dengan adanya pro kontra di masyarakat. Di Kabupaten Garut sendiri moderasi beragama sudah sering digaungkan dengan tujuan terjalinnya kerukunan di masyarakat yang harmonis dan toleran. Selain itu di Kabupaten Garut sendiri moderasi Beragama sudah mulai diterapkan di kalangan siswa melalui pembelajaran di kelas, khususnya pelajaran agama. Dan pembelajaran pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) menjadi salah satu jalan untuk membentuk karakter yang moderat. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah implementasi moderasi beragama pada pembelajaran pendidikan agama islam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dapat mempengaruhi sikap moderasi beragama khususnya di SMA Negeri 1 Garut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Dimana dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara Observasi, Wawancara dan Dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi moderasi beragama pada pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di SMA Negeri 1 Garut sudah berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini diungkapkan langsung oleh Kepala Sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Garut yang menyatakan bahwa SMA Negeri 1 Garut merupakan sekolah percontohan anti kekerasan, yang mana merupakan salah satu dimensi dari moderasi beragama. Begitu pula dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dibuktikan dengan adanya RPP yang berkaitan dengan moderasi beragama, seperti materi di kelas XI yaitu materi Musyawarah Untuk Mufakat, materi Demokrasi, Toleransi Sebagai Alat Pemersatu Bangsa. Lalu di kelas XII adapula materi mengenai Persatuan dan Kerukunan. Juga adanya kegiatan keagamaan seperti pelaksanaan PHBI di lingkungan SMA Negeri 1 Garut.

Abstract

Religious moderation has become increasingly relevant in diverse and pluralistic societies, particularly within academic settings where varying interpretations of religious teachings often emerge. This study highlights the growing need to explore and understand religious attitudes among students in the context of their social, cultural, and political influences. The study investigates students' perceptions and views regarding religious moderation by delving into critical issues such as the relationship between Pancasila and religion, the idea of a caliphate state, respect for state symbols, and attitudes toward violence. A quantitative survey approach involved 463 students selected through stratified random sampling from various study programs and semester levels. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire to assess students' perspectives on these controversial topics. The findings reveal a comprehensive picture of religious attitudes among students, emphasizing the importance of fostering religious moderation within academic environments. These results underline the necessity for effective educational strategies to promote understanding and respect for diverse beliefs while minimizing conflict. The study is significant for policymakers, educators, and practitioners because it offers insights into the dynamics of religious attitudes in higher education. Addressing religious moderation's complexities, these findings contribute to developing strategies that can support harmonious coexistence in pluralistic academic communities.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the effectiveness of this learning method in increasing students' understanding of the subject matter and gaining insight into students' perceptions of the learning experience. In this research, the TSTS methods are used as learning approaches that focus on active involvement, collaboration and critical thinking of students. Question board media is used to support the visualization of abstract concepts in Islamic Religious Education. Data was collected through comprehension tests, observation, pretest and posttest. The research results show that the TSTS learning methods using question boards have a positive impact on students' understanding. The test scores show that there is a significant effect before and after implementing this method. Where the result obtained is that tcount > ttable (4.30 > 2.06) so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education between the Pretest and Posttest for class XII social science 1 students at Asshiddiqiyah High School. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas metode pembelajaran ini dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran dan memperoleh wawasan persepsi siswa terhadap pengalaman belajar. Dalam penelitian ini, metode TSTS digunakan sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran yang menitikberatkan pada keterlibatan aktif, kolaborasi dan berpikir kritis siswa. Media papan soal digunakan untuk menunjang visualisasi konsep-konsep abstrak dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pemahaman, observasi, pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran TSTS menggunakan papan soal memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman siswa. Nilai tes menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode ini. Dimana hasil yang diperoleh adalah thitung > ttabel (4,30 > 2,06) sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam antara Pretest dan Posttest siswa kelas XII IPS 1 di SMA Asshiddiqiyah.

Abstract

Character issues always color human life from time to time, along with the times and the development of the world of education, efforts are made to achieve good character. In the world of education, literacy activities are a place for character building. For this reason, the character has an important role in Islam and cannot even be separated from human life. This study aims to find out how the description of literacy and character-building activities for students at SMA Asshiddiqiyah Garut, so that the results can be known. This research was conducted using quantitative research with survey analysis techniques, namely research that was taken based on the phenomena that occurred by making decisions from the sample data using statistical tests. From the results of the study, it is known that based on the results of testing on 35 students, it is known that literacy culture has a positive effect on the formation of students' character where the t count value 5.745 the t table 2.011. While the value of the coefficient of determination is 58.21% which shows the large contribution of the influence. And the remaining 41.79% is influenced by other variables not examined. Thus, this study states that the implementation of a literacy culture can improve the character of students.

Abstract

Assertiveness in Islamic preaching is a crucial aspect in preserving the purity of religious principles and moral boundaries, particularly in the face of modern challenges that emphasize inclusivity. This study aims to analyze the rhetorical strategies employed by Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani in delivering Sufi-oriented sermons that combine firmness with spiritual depth. Using a qualitative method with a rhetorical discourse analysis approach, this research draws on sermon texts and historical literature as primary data sources. The findings reveal that Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani incorporates the classical rhetorical elements of ethos, pathos, and logos in his preaching: ethos to establish credibility, pathos to evoke emotional responses from the audience, and logos through arguments grounded in the Qur'an and Hadith. His rhetoric demonstrates a balance between sharp criticism of moral deviations—particularly among scholars and rulers—and compassionate counsel to sinners, emphasizing repentance and sincerity. The Sufi dimension is evident in his use of symbolic language and narratives of spiritual experiences that encourage deep reflection and connect religious teachings with social well-being. These findings indicate that Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani’s rhetorical approach remains relevant for contemporary Islamic preaching, particularly in striking a balance between moral assertiveness and empathetic communication. Further research is recommended to explore the impact of this approach in modern contexts and to compare it with other Sufi figures.

Abstract

Religious moderation is essential for promoting harmony among religious communities in Indonesia. Principals play a crucial role in integrating this principle into school environments. This study aims to examine how the principal of MAN 1 Garut applies religious moderation through his leadership. A descriptive qualitative method with an ethnographic approach was used, with data collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings reveal that the principal applies three stages in promoting religious moderation. The first stage is planning, which is carried out collectively with school staff and stakeholders. The second stage is implementation, where the principal employs a transformational leadership style, focusing on inspiration, empowerment, and providing exemplary behavior to the school community. The third stage is supervision, which involves evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of the religious moderation program. Despite these efforts, the study identifies challenges, particularly from students who exhibit critical thinking regarding differences in religious views. These challenges require the principal to continuously adapt strategies to foster understanding and tolerance. This study contributes valuable insights for fostering inclusive, harmonious, and tolerant education, particularly in the context of Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Character education plays a central role in shaping students into individuals with integrity and competitiveness. One of the approaches used to instill character values is through the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila dan Rahmatan Lil’Alamin (P5P2RA) based on local wisdom. This study aims to examine the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of character education through P5P2RA grounded in local culture. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The study focuses on the application of character values such as faith and piety, love for the homeland, mutual cooperation, responsibility, creativity, proper manners (ta’abbud), and a dynamic and innovative attitude (tatawur wa ibtikar) within project-based learning activities that highlight local potential. The findings reveal that the implementation of P5P2RA based on local wisdom is fairly effective in developing students' character. Activities such as constructing miniature traditional houses and showcasing student work (Gelar Karya) encouraged students to collaborate, think critically, and appreciate local culture. However, the program still faces several challenges, including low active student participation in project creation, lack of enthusiasm, and limited transportation funding for field exploration activities. Nevertheless, the school has demonstrated its commitment to overcoming these obstacles by optimizing internal resources and implementing innovative strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh program keagamaan keputrian terhadap pembentukan karakter peserta didik di SMA Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain survei. Data diperoleh dari Sumber primer melalui wawancara dan kuesioner, serta sekunder dari buku dan artikel. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan wawancara, dan kuesioner. Dari populasi 143, sebanyak 36 responden dipilih secara acak menggunakan teknik random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linier sederhana, di mana program keagamaan keputrian sebagai variabel independen dan pembentukan karakter sebagai variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai t hitung sebesar (14,740) lebih besar dari t tabel (2.0280), dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara program keagamaan keputrian terhadap pembentukan karakter. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh adalah Y = 5,556 + 0,889X, Dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05 (nilai alpha), dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara Program Keagamaan Keputrian terhadap Pembentukan Karakter. Koefisien regresi variabel Program Keagamaan Keputrian (X) sebesar 0,889 menunjukkan bahwa setiap peningkatan dalam program tersebut akan meningkatkan Pembentukan Karakter (Y) sebesar 88,9%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa program keagamaan keputrian memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap pembentukan karakter Peserta didik di SMA Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah Garut.This study aims to analyze the influence of religious programs for women on the character formation of students at SMA Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. The method used is quantitative descriptive with survey design. Data were obtained from primary sources through interviews and questionnaires, and secondary from books and articles. Data collection techniques include interviews and questionnaires. From a population of 143, 36 respondents were randomly selected using random sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression, where religious programs for women are independent variables and character formation is the dependent variable. The results showed that the t-count value of (14.740) is greater than the t-table (2.0280), with a significance level of 0.001 <0.05. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence between religious programs for women on character formation. The regression equation obtained is Y = 5.556 + 0.889X, With a significance level of 0.001 <0.05 (alpha value), it can be concluded that there is an influence between the Religious Program for Women on Character Formation. The regression coefficient of the Religious Program for Women (X) variable of 0.889 indicates that every increase in the program will increase Character Formation (Y) by 88.9%. This indicates that the religious program for women has a major influence on the character formation of students at SMA Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah Garut.
