Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of creative learning based on children's song models in developing children's character. Using a literature review approach, this research analyzes the literature on creative learning and character development in children. Findings from the literature review indicate that creative learning based on children's song models has great potential in shaping positive character traits in children. Through this model, children can actively engage in enjoyable learning experiences while internalizing character values embedded in song lyrics. The use of music in learning also enhances children's motivation, creativity, and communication skills. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding and developing innovative teaching methods for children's character development. The importance of fostering good character in children is widely recognized, and this approach based on children's song models offers an effective strategy to achieve this goal. By integrating music and creativity into the learning process, it is hoped that the younger generation can become intellectually sharp and possess positive personalities in their daily lives.

Abstract

Physics identity plays a significant role in shaping individuals’ careers and academic engagement in physics. This study aims to analyze the development of research on physics identity over the past decade using bibliometric analysis based on Scopus data. A total of 114 documents were collected, then filtered based on publication year (2014–2024), English language, and article type, resulting in 60 articles for analysis. This study examines publication trends, geographical distribution, and under-researched topics in physics identity. Using VOSviewer and Publish or Perish 8 software, the findings indicate a fluctuating increase in publications, with a predominant focus on gender issues and identity-forming factors such as self-efficacy, recognition, and motivation. However, the research of physics identity concentrated in the United States, highlighting a lack of studies in other regions. Additionally, efforts to address the physics identity crisis are still minimal. This study provides a comprehensive synthesis of the field and highlights the need for further research on alternative strategies to mitigate gender stereotypes and enhance physics identity, particularly in countries with low research contributions.

Abstract

This article will examine a comparison of music learning outcomes in secondary education curricula between Indonesia (Merdeka Curriculum) and Australia (Version 8.4 Curriculum). The objective of this research is to analyze how each curriculum formulates music competencies, as well as to examine the differences in pedagogical and ideological orientations that underlie them. The methodological approach entails curriculum document analysis, supplemented by literature studies and a critical-constructive approach to learning outcomes. The findings of the analysis indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum places significant emphasis on the preservation of traditional music and the cultivation of character in accordance with the values of the Lima Cita Sila, or Five Core Principles, of the Student Profile. However, the curriculum dedicates less attention to fostering creative exploration, the integration of digital technology, and the promotion of cross-cultural understanding. Conversely, the Australian Curriculum adopts a more progressive and open approach through three primary domains: creating, performing and responding. This approach fosters creativity, reflection, and collaboration within a global context. However, it places relatively less explicit emphasis on the moral and character-building functions of the arts. The conclusion of this study underscores the significance of integrating the preservation of local culture with the cultivation of global competencies in music education. The recommendations are intended to enhance the curriculum, ensuring its holistic nature, technological foundation, inclusivity with regard to cultural diversity, and alignment with 21st-century learning requirements.

Abstract

Organic waste bioconversion through maggot cultivation is believed to be a solution for managing organic waste based on a circular economy. Maggot cultivation has been widely carried out by Bank Sampah managed by the community in Indonesia, one of which is located in Bengle Village, Karawang District. Bank Sampah (BS) of Bengle Village has been able to reduce organic waste and produce Kasgot, reaching 75.00% and 25.00%, respectively. This study aims to examine nutritional content of maggot and characteristics of kasgot produced by BS of Bengle Village. The results showed that fresh and dried maggot contained quite high fat and protein, of 38.99%; 29.65% and 40.94%; 34.75%, respectively. These values make both maggots feasible as sources of animal fat and protein for poultry. Furthermore, Kasgot contains N-total, P2O5, K2O, Fe, and Pb each of 3.98%; 2.80%; 3.32%; 332.18 ppm; and 0.26 ppm has met the minimum specifications for solid organic fertilizer and compost from organic waste. However, the C/N ratio (6.40) and moisture content (22.77%) did not meet these standards and indicated that Kasgot was not stable as an organic fertilizer. Despite that, the quality of Kasgot can be improved through advanced fermentation processes such as vermicomposting so that it can be used as a substitute for inorganic fertilizers for plant growth and improve soil conditions.
