Abstract

This article explores the design and implementation of Gender Fair Education as a counter-feminization of poverty movement in women's schools in Gresik Regency. Based on data from women and gender observers, poverty studies have not paid sufficient attention to the gender dimension of poverty. It was from these data that the expression “women are the poorest of the poor” and the term “feminization of poverty” arose. This article is the result of qualitative-explorative research with a phenomenological approach and data retrieval through observations, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussion. The findings showed that gender-fair education as a counter-feminizationof the poverty movement was designed through the Gender Watch program. It is a women's empowerment program through the establishment of women's schools with gender-fair education materials as the curriculum. The implementation of gender-fair education is manifested through the establishment of women's schools in villages in Gresik Regency. The program like this is important to be replicated in other places as an effort to achieve gender equality and justice.

Abstract

Strengthening national character is vital to the quality of a generation. The government needs to establish character education policies that are relevant to be put into practice today. The independent curriculum offers a simpler and more ideal educational concept that places teachers and students as subjects in learning activities. This research aimed to study whether the independent curriculum facilitates the strengthening national character, and to what extent. This research was conducted using the library method through a qualitative approach, with the data analysis done by means of content analysis techniques. Research findings show that the character strengthening strategy in the Merdeka curriculum is contained in the Pancasila Student Profile concept with a series of curriculum policies including the educational ecosystem, teachers, pedagogy, curriculum and assessment systems. Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile is actualized in students' daily lives through school culture, intracurricular learning, Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles (P5), and interest and talent development activities (extracurricular). Meanwhile, the values contained in the Pancasila Student Profile include faith and devotion to God Almighty, noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning and creativity.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of an English extracurricular program as an initial foreign language for children aged 4-5 years at TK Muslimat NU 200 Kureksari. Through this program, it is expected that children can be introduced to English in a fun, interactive, and developmentally appropriate manner. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the research show that the English extracurricular program is capable of improving children's language skills, although several challenges in its implementation remain, especially related to teaching methods and limited time.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of flag ceremonies at Taman Kanak-Kanak Muslimat NU Bunga Harapan Lamongan and its impact on developing children's self-confidence. The flag ceremony is a formal ritual involving the raising of the national flag, conducted regularly in various educational institutions. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to depict the phenomena and social interactions within the ceremony activities. Data collection methods include observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that engaging children as alternating officers during flag ceremonies can enhance their self-confidence. Children feel proud and happy when chosen by teachers to perform these roles, contributing to their character development and independence. Therefore, the application of flag ceremonies in educational settings positively influences children's personality formation

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Islamic children's music extracurricular activities in supporting the language development of children aged 4-5 years at TK Muslimat NU 200 Kureksari. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews with teachers and documentation of extracurricular activities. The results of the study indicate that Islamic children's music activities consisting of religious songs and Islamic prayers are effective in improving children's vocabulary, articulation, and understanding of language concepts. Children who participate in this extracurricular activity show significant improvements in speaking skills, mastery of new vocabulary, and understanding of the meaning of Islamic words used in songs. This study concludes that Islamic music has an important role in the language development of early childhood and can be an effective tool in fun language learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pengawasan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran melalui supervisi akademik di MINU Waru II Sidoarjo. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian Wakil Kepala Madrasah, dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan merupakan analisis deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis secara kualitatif untuk mengoptimalisasikan pengawasan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas mutu supervisi akademik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dengan mengimplementasikan supervisi akademik sebagai upaya meningkatkan guru profesional.

Abstract

Deviant behavior in early childhood is an issue that needs serious attention, especially when children start to show the habit of using harsh language while interacting with peers. This phenomenon was found at TK Unggulan An Nur Surabaya, where some children tend to use impolite words during play and communication. The aim of this study is to identify the causal factors behind deviant behavior in early childhood, specifically rude speech, and to analyze the influence of family environment, school, peers, and media on such behavior. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with teachers and parents, and documentation from classroom activities. The findings revealed that rude speaking behavior is influenced by permissive parenting, peer group influence, exposure to inappropriate media, and immature emotional regulation. The conclusion is that deviant behavior such as harsh speaking does not arise in isolation but is the result of complex interactions between internal and external factors. Therefore, collaboration between teachers and parents in character education and monitoring of media exposure and peer environment is essential.

Abstract

Dibalik Kekayaan Sumber Daya Alam yang dimiliki Desa Gading Kulon terdapat permasalahan yang membutuhkan perhatian khusus, yakni permasalahan stunting. Salah satu faktor penyebab stunting di desa ini adalah maraknya terjadi pernikahan dini. Fenomena pernikahan dini di desa ini disebabkan beberapa faktor seperti faktor ekonomi, faktor orang tua, faktor kecelakaan, faktor tradisi keluarga, faktor kebiasaan atau adat daerah setempat. Fenomena Pernikahan Dini dapat diminimalisir dengan pemberian edukasi mengenai pernikahan dini. diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan edukasi ini, dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan adanya dampak yang mungkin ditimbulkan dari pernikahan dini.

Abstract

Supervisi manajerial kepala sekolah memiliki peran strategis untuk menjamin pelaksanaan kebijakan kepegawaian dari dinas pendidikan agar berjalan efektif, adaptif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan profesionalisme tenaga kependidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan supervisi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam mengimplementasikan kebijakan kepegawaian, serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap kinerja guru dan staf sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan staf administrasi yang dipilih secara purposive. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi manajerial kepala sekolah berperan penting dalam menjembatani kebijakan kepegawaian dari dinas pendidikan dengan pelaksanaan teknis di sekolah. Supervisi dilakukan melalui pemantauan rutin terhadap kehadiran dan kinerja pegawai, pembinaan kedisiplinan, evaluasi kerja berkala, serta pemberian penghargaan dan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi. Implementasi kebijakan kepegawaian di sekolah berlangsung secara sinergis antara regulasi dinas dan pengelolaan internal kepala sekolah. Dampaknya terlihat pada peningkatan disiplin kerja, efisiensi administrasi, profesionalisme guru, serta motivasi kerja staf yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa supervisi manajerial yang terencana, berkesinambungan, dan humanis menjadi kunci keberhasilan dalam menerapkan kebijakan kepegawaian secara efektif. Oleh karena itu, kepala sekolah perlu mengembangkan kemampuan supervisinya secara profesional agar mampu berperan tidak hanya sebagai pengawas, tetapi juga sebagai pembina, motivator, dan fasilitator peningkatan mutu sumber daya manusia di sekolah
