Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problems of implementing the 2013 curriculum in fifth grade mathematics learning at MIS Bakti Dadok Tunggul Hitam, Koto Tangah District, Padang City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The subjects of this research are fifth grade teachers and students. This research was carried out at MIS Bakti Dadok Tunggul Hitam, Koto Tangah District, Padang on July 19, 2022. The data collection techniques used were field observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that in implementing the 2013 curriculum in mathematics lessons in class V not entirely good, because the teacher uses the 2013 curriculum, but for the implementation of the teacher is more dominant using the education unit level curriculum (KTSP) method. In the learning process, students first understand the lesson better if it is explained only one field of study rather than having to be combined with other lessons as used in the 2013 curriculum method. And the three teachers use the media to guide students in the process of understanding mathematics lessons.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the use of TikTok social media on student learning outcomes in thematic learning in Class III of SD Negeri 01 Ulak Karang Selatan. This research was based on several students who were influenced by TikTok social media, for example when their friends asked other friends questions such as: asking for assignments with the words "Is your assignment ready?", and the friends who answered gave the answers they saw from videos provided by the TikTok application and the researcher saw that after the break, several students only discussed the TikTok video they saw last night, not discussing what lessons they had previously learned or what grades they had gotten. Therefore, this research aims to find out whether there is an influence of the use of TikTok social media on student learning outcomes in thematic learning in class III of SD Negeri 01 Ulak Karang Selatan. This research is quantitative with a pre-experimental designs (nondisegns) approach and then tools for collecting data using observation, questionnaires, student learning results tests and documentation. The sample for this research is class III students at SD Negeri 01 Ulak Karang Selatan. Based on the research results obtained, it can be seen that the t-count is 7.797 and the t-table is 2.063, so it can be concluded that 7.797 > 2.063 and a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 is obtained. So it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, H0 is rejected. So the social media variable partially influences learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes by using poster media in Thematic learning on Theme 5 Subtheme 3 Lessons 1, 2 and 3 Concerning the Influence of Weather Changes on Human Life. This research is experimental research using poster media carried out in 2 classes. The subjects in this research were class III students at SDN 01 Ulak Karang Selatan, in class A there were 26 students and in class D there were 21 students. Student learning outcomes are also measured from student learning results sheets and LKPD sheets at each meeting. Judging from the results of this research, the use of poster media can improve student learning outcomes in class III Shiva Thematic learning at SD Negeri 01 Ulak Karang Selatan. It can be seen in the difference in the average score of the pretest for the Experimental Class 64.81 and the posttest for the Experimental Class 80.81, while the average result of the pretest for the Control Class is 57.15 and the posttest for the Control Class is 69.54, then it can also be seen in the T test hypothesis The obtained sig is significant. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.05, then according to the basis for decision making in the independent T-Test sample test, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This research is based on a teacher's strategy for managing the class to create a comfortable and conducive learning process and to achieve learning objectives. Therefore, this research aims to find out teachers' strategies in managing the classroom and to find out the factors that hinder classroom management at SD Negeri 41 Kinali. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Then data was collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and then data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The subjects of this research are class V teachers, PJOK teachers, PAI teachers. Based on the research results, it was found that the teacher's strategy in managing class V at SD Negeri 41 Kinali includes planning, namely compiling the Independent Curriculum module which is used as a reference in teaching. During the implementation of learning, teachers show a warm and enthusiastic attitude by showing concern and closeness to students and giving rewards to students. The inhibiting factor.

Abstract

This research stems from students’ low reading interest. Objectives encompass illustrating the implementation of the School Literacy Movement program within learning activities to foster reading interest among third-grade students at SD Negeri 38 Payakumbuh and identifying factors supporting and hindering that program’s execution. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis unfolds across three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Participants comprise third-grade homeroom teachers along with their students. Findings reveal implementation of the School Literacy Movement through several initiatives: 15‑minute daily reading before lessons kick off, a Love‑Reading Campaign, a reading corner, and class bulletin boards. Supporting factors include available facilities and infrastructure, presence of a reading corner, and classroom bulletin boards. Meanwhile, obstacles comprise limited reading materials, students’ low reading interest, and inadequate facilities.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the minimal role of teacher in IPAS learning. Research background this study is based on the observation that many students exhibit poor behavior and during lessons delivered by the teacher at the front of the class, many students do not focus on paying attention. It is also evident that the teacher has not fully implemented their role in the learning process; for example, the teacher does not provide reflection at the end of the lesson and has not been able to create a conducive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. This research aims to describe the role of the fifth-grade teacher in teaching Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SD Negeri 01 Ulak Karang Padang. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of the research are the fifth-grade homeroom teacher and the fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results obtained, the teacher in the classroom during IPAS lessons plays the roles of facilitator, motivator, and guide. The teacher needs to better implement their role during the learning process. The teacher should also stimulate students’ enthusiasm and motivation to learn IPAS. The teacher is encouraged to maximize their roles as motivator, facilitator, and guide.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembentukan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa dalam masa pra pubertas di kelas V SDN 06 Kampung Lapai. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi pembentukan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa dalam masa pra pubertas, dikarenakan dimasa ini siswa memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi sehingga emosional siswa mulai tidak terkontrol dan siswa juga mulai memiliki rasa suka-sukaan dengan lawan jenisnya. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembentukan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa dalam menghadapi masa pra pubertas di kelas V C SDN 06 Kampung Lapai, menganalisis faktor  pembentukan karakter siswa dalam menghadapi masa pra pubertas di kelas V C SD 06 Kampung Lapai. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Kemudian data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data melalui tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Kepala Sekolah, guru kelas V C, guru PJOK, guru PAI, dan siswa kelas V C. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh temuan bahwa (1) proses pembentukan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa kelas V C dalam masa pra pubertas yaitu adanya kerjasama guru dengan pihak wali siswa, karena siswa mulai memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang besar berfikir lebih dewasa, dan mulai suka sukaan kepada lawan jenis.

Abstract

Learning difficulties are a problem that causes a student to not be able to follow the learning process well and not be able to achieve the expected learning objectives. This study aims to describe the factors causing learning difficulties experienced by second-grade students at Kampung Lapai Public Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative approach, a case study type. The research subjects are second-grade homeroom teachers and second-grade students. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Based on the research results obtained, there are two factors causing student learning difficulties, namely (1) internal factors including intellectual abilities, lack of learning motivation, attitudes of not wanting to pay attention when studying. (2) external factors including: family factors, school factors, community factor.
