Abstract

Moral education, which includes Islamic moral and ethical values, is integrated into the school curriculum through various methods, including lectures, discussions, and extracurricular activities. This study aims to evaluate the effect of moral education on student behavior at MAN 3 Medan School. This study uses a mixed approach, namely quantitative with surveys and qualitative through in-depth interviews through surveys analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics are used to describe the distribution and tendency of data, such as averages, medians, and percentages. The results of the study indicate that moral education has a significant impact on improving students' positive behavior. Students involved in the moral education program showed improvements in aspects of discipline, honesty, responsibility, and tolerance and empathy. In addition, moral education also helps reduce negative behaviors such as disobedience and disrespectful behavior. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating moral education into the school curriculum to shape the character of students with noble character. Educational institutions are advised to continue to strengthen moral education programs with innovative and relevant approaches, and involve the entire school community, including teachers, students, and parents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan belajar, penggunaan sosial, dan motivasi belajar terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Al-Washliyah 22 Tembung. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Penentuan jumlah sampel berdasarkan tabel Krejcie dan Morgan, dari total populasi sebanyak 140 siswa, diperoleh 103 responden sebagai sampel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen angket. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa variabel lingkungan belajar secara signifikan memengaruhi karakter siswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,009 dan nilai t-statistik 2,606. Sementara itu, variabel media sosial dan motivasi belajar tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang bermakna secara statistik terhadap karakter siswa. Nilai R-square sebesar 0,337 menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel independen secara bersama-sama mampu menjelaskan 33,7% dari variasi karakter siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan belajar menjadi faktor penting dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya peran aktif lingkungan, baik di rumah, sekolah, maupun masyarakat, dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan sosial kepada siswa sebagai dasar penguatan karakter.

Abstract

The role of teacher communication in resolving interpersonal conflicts between students is an important aspect in creating a harmonious and conducive school environment for the learning process. Conflicts between students often occur at school, either due to differences of opinion, behavior, or social competition. In this case, teachers function as mediators who not only identify the source of the conflict, but also manage and resolve the conflict through effective communication. This study aims to examine the role of teacher communication in resolving interpersonal conflicts between students and how the communication approach used can affect the conflict resolution process. The method used in this study is library research. The results of the study show that open, empathetic, and constructive communication from teachers can help students understand their respective perspectives and find adequate solutions. In addition, the teacher's ability to listen, give positive feedback, and use appropriate mediation techniques has proven to be effective in relieving tension and reducing the possibility of recurrence of conflicts in the future. This study concludes that good and structured communication from teachers is very important in maintaining relationships between students and supporting the creation of a more harmonious learning atmosphere in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan kesadaran dan perilaku siswa terkait bahaya narkoba melalui program pendidikan anti narkoba di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi eksperimental dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa-siswa di beberapa sekolah yang telah melaksanakan program pendidikan anti narkoba dan siswa-siswa di sekolah yang belum melaksanakan program tersebut. Data kesadaran dan perilaku siswa terhadap bahaya narkoba dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner sebelum dan setelah penerapan program pendidikan anti narkoba. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah uji t independent untuk membandingkan perbedaan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan yang signifikan dalam kesadaran dan perilaku siswa setelah mengikuti program pendidikan anti narkoba. Siswa yang mengikuti program tersebut memiliki tingkat kesadaran yang lebih tinggi terhadap bahaya narkoba dan menunjukkan perilaku yang lebih positif dalam menghindari penggunaan narkoba. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program pendidikan anti narkoba efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan perilaku siswa terhadap bahaya narkoba. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya program pendidikan anti narkoba di sekolah sebagai upaya pencegahan penggunaan narkoba pada siswa.
