Abstract

The research background is that it can develop biological assessment based on science process skills because science process skills are important for logical thinking to train students' thinking skills. From the results of the initial needs analysis of class X questions, science process skills are still low, the teacher has not fully developed the science process skills-based assessment because it still uses questions from biology books. This study aims to determine the characteristics and feasibility of assessment based on science process skills developed in biology class X semester 2. This research is development research. Development is carried out using a procedural model by adapting Mcintire's research and development model, with 4 stages of test development including defining competencies, test participants and test objectives, developing test plans, compiling test items, writing administrative instructions. This research stage is limited because it only wants to know the characteristics and feasibility of the assessment. The research instrument used an interview sheet, a questionnaire sheet, and an observation sheet. Expert validation was carried out by 6 expert validators: (1) material experts; (2) linguists; and (3) evaluation experts; The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive that refers to the formula adapted by Sugiyono (2018) with a scale of 4. The results of this study are in the form of a biological assessment based on science process skills in the form of multiple-choice questions in which there is biology material for class X semester 2. Biological assessment characteristics are based on science process skills, namely using indicators consisting of observing, grouping, interpreting, predicting, asking questions, hypothesizing, planning experiments, applying concepts, and communicating. The feasibility of a biological assessment based on science process skills based on expert validators, the results are valid to very valid so that the biological assessment based on science process skills developed is feasible to be used to measure the science process skills of class X students.

Abstract

Watershed (DAS) Musi is the source of water from various economic activities,social and cultural rights of the people of Palembang. Condition of the waters of the MusiRiver Basin has declined due to natural and human activities. This study aims to determinethe relationship between the perceived level of housewives in the management of aquaticecosystems downstream watershed Musi Palembang. Data were analyzed using descriptivewith scoring based on the average value of the number of questions raised housewife. Thestudy concluded perception housewife elementary school and junior high school graduateshave poor perception while housewives graduate high school / vocational and collegegraduates have a good perception of the management of aquatic ecosystems downstreamwatershed Musi Palembang

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang berjudul Gerakan Bersih Lingkungan Bertema “Green Eco-Park” Solusi Tepat dalam Hijaukan Lingkungan Kampus FKIP UM Palembang ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang menjaga lingkungan hidup agar tetap terjaga kebersihannya dan menciptakan kampus FKIP UMPalembang yang hijau dengan tema Green Eco-Park. Sehingga mahasiswa dapat bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan disekitarnya. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat tentang Gerakan Bersih Lingkungan Bertema “Green Eco-Park” Solusi Tepat dalam Hijaukan Lingkungan Kampus FKIP UMPalembang diharapkan dapat menanamkan kepedulian, bertanggung jawab, dan kesadaran semua masyarakat kampus terutama mahasiswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan sekitar kampus. Khalayak dan sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mahasiswa semester VII kelas A Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi. Mahasiswa yang terlibat berjumlah 45 orang mahasiswa dengan jumlah laki-laki 3 orang dan 42 perempuan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini membawa dampak positif bagi mahasiswa pendidikan biologi semester tujuh khususnya kelas A.Kata kunci: Lingkungan, Green Eco-Park, UMPalembang

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sel di SMA Negeri Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, populasi penelitian semua SMA Negeri Palembang, sampel penelitian yaitu SMA Negeri 4 Palembang, SMA Negeri 8 Palembang, SMA Negeri 9 Palembang dan SMA Negeri 19 Palembang. Teknik pengambilan data diambil secara purposive sampling, memilih berdasarkan letak wilayah dan kecamatan. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar wawancara, kuesioner, observasi, dokumentasi dan tes pilihan ganda (Multiple Choice Test) berjumlah 20 soal berpikir kritis pada materi sel. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi lembar kuesioner, lembar wawancara, lembar observasi dan soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal berpikir kritis. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran dan daya pembeda. Dari hasil rata-rata observasi siswa keseluruhan berpikir kritis yaitu SMA Negeri 4 Palembang sebesar 33,45%, SMA Negeri 8 Palembang sebesar 31,91%, SMA Negeri 9 Palembang sebesar 30,38% dan SMA Negeri 19 Palembang sebesar 32,67%. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata hasil nilai tes keterampilan berpikir kritis yaitu SMA Negeri 4 Palembang sebesar 25,95%, SMA Negeri 8 Palembang sebesar 42,55%, SMA Negeri 9 Palembang sebesar 34,20% dan SMA Negeri 19 Palembang sebesar 27,55%. Dari keempat SMA Negeri Palembang diperoleh rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 32,56% dikategorikan masih tergolong rendah hal ini disebabkan bahwa tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masih kurang dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru.

Abstract

Science process skills is the ability of students to apply scientific methods in understanding, developing science and discovering knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of questions for each Science process skills indicator on biology material in Senior High School at Palembang. The research method was used descriptive was qualitative. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample used was the odd semester final exam questions in Senior Hight School Palembang. The instruments was used in the study were tests and non-tests. Non-test instruments in the form of interview sheets, questionnaire sheets, observation sheets and documentation. The test instrument was used the class X odd semester final exam question instrument made by the teacher. The technique for analyzing the data was used percentage technique. The results obtained from the analysis of semester final exam odd questions for the 2019/2020 year school in Palembang High School, there were 4 Science process skills indicators that were applied to the question instrument with a deficient category consisting of observing indicators (6.32%), grouping indicators (18.02 %), the indicators predict / predict (3.75%) and the indicators plan the experiment (2.50%), while the indicators interpret, ask questions, hypothesize, apply concepts and communicating (0%) in the poor category. The analysis of Science process skills questions on biology material in Senior High School in Palembang was categorized as lacking because the school had not fully made the Science process skills based question instrument and the questions made on average were still at the cognitive limit.

Abstract

Manusia adalah manusia dan tidak bisa dipersamakan dengan makhluk yang lainnya, apalagi dengan benda-benda yang bersifat jumud (benda mati). Oleh sebab itu, seorang anak yang terlahir ke dunia bukan seperti kertas putih, karena manusia adalah makhluk hidup yang sudah memiliki fitrah (potensi) dan memiliki perbedaan individu yang menurut pemahaman yang utuh dan komprehensif serta pengakuan dari pendidik, sehingga dapat menghantarkan peserta didiknya ke arah tujuan pendidikan yang diingin-kan. Atas dasar perbedaan ini pendidik memberikan pelayanan terhadap peserta didik. Humans are humans and can not be compared to other creatures, especially with objects that are old-fashioned (inanimate objects). Therefore, a child who is born into the world is not like a white paper, because humans are living beings who already have nature (potential) and have individual differences according to a comprehensive and comprehensive understanding and recognition from educators so that they can deliver their students towards desired educational goals. Based on these differences, educators provide services to students.

Abstract

An accelerated learning model contained practical methods that can be used to accelerate students mastery and understanding of learning materials. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Accelerated Learning model with Prezi-assisted concept mapping on the eight-grade students ability to understand Movement System. This study employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design and a cluster random sampling technique to select the sample. It involved students from class VIII.2 (control class) and class VIII.3 (experimental class) of SMP Negeri 3 Sekayu. The result of the t-test analysis showed that the Accelerated Learning model with Prezi-assisted concept mapping had an effect on the students cognitive achievement (significance level of 0.000 < ±/2 (0.025)). The students achievement in affective (honesty and discipline) and psychomotor (creativity in creating a mind map) domains was observed and analyzed during the learning process, then presented in percentage form. The result of the analysis indicated that the experimental class achieved better than the control class in affective and psychomotor domains. The experimental students affective and psychomotor scores were directly proportional to their cognitive achievement. Thus, it can be concluded that the Accelerated Learning Model with Prezi-assisted concept mapping has an effect on the eight-grade students achievement in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, especially in Motion System lesson.

Abstract

Background: Online learning changes the learning pattern that is usually done face-to-face into a distance education system, so there will be factors that influence it. This also has an impact on biology lessons at Xaverius High School Lubuklinggau. This study aims to determine the perception of the implementation of online learning in biology lessons and determine the factors that influence it. Methods: this research uses descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation which are then analyzed by technical analysis of Miles & Huberman. The research subjects were biology teachers and all students of grades X, XI, and XII science at Xaverius High School Lubuklinggau. Results: the implementation of learning in biology lessons that have been carried out at Xaverius Lubuklinggau High School there are planning, implementation and evaluation activities as well as face-to-face learning, but in the implementation there are factors that influence, namely the material cannot be explained, the response of class X students is less active, supervision of the assessment, the ability of teachers to use various educational applications, difficulty in assessing the character of students, some students do not understand the material provided, and the learning environment. Conclusion. The implementation of online learning that is applied there are still planning, implementation and evaluation activities, but in the implementation there are several factors that influence both supporting and inhibiting factors.

Abstract

Mahasiswa sebagai agen of change perlu dibekali keterampilan pengelolaan sampah untuk nantinya dapat diaplikasikan dan dibagikan kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada mahasiswa dan masyarakat tentang cara mengolah sampah organik menjadi ekoenzim melalui biofermentasi sederhana. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, dan demonstrasi secara daring. Peserta kegiatan adalah mahasiswa dan masyarakat dari wilayah Palembang, OKI, Lahat, dan Banyuasin, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data kepuasan peserta terhadap kegiatan penyuluhan yang diberikan. Kemudian, data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah mahasiswa menjadi lebih mengenal tentang eco-enzyme dan prosedur pembuatannya. Dari total 45 peserta yang hadir, hanya 25 orang yang mengisi kuesioner. Secara keseluruhan, peserta merasa puas dengan kegiatan PKM dan mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan eco-enzim. Dengan demikian, dari kegiatan ini mahasiswa dan masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan tentang salah satu cara mengolah limbah organik rumah tangga yang selalu dihasilkan setiap harinya menjadi produk yang bermanfaat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari model Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Quasi eksperimen dan desain penelitiannya adalah Non equivalen control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIPA 3 SMA Unggul Negeri 4 Palembang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 4 SMA Unggul Negeri 4 Palembang sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes tertulis berupa soal yang yang berbentuk uraian yang berjumlah 16 soal yang mengacu kepada soal berpikir kritis. Uji Hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t data berpasangan (paired sample t test), hasil yang diperoleh dari perhitungan Paired Sample T-Test dengan (0,05%) didapatkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,000 0,05, dengan nilai t-hitung lebih besar dari t-tabel, yaitu didapat nilai t-hitung adalah 7,923 dan nilai t-tabelnya adalah 2,042. Artinya dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X pada materi keanekaragaman hayati
