Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingkat kemampuan menulis karangan eksposisi siswa di sekolah yang masih rendah. Peneliti menggunakan media Wall Chart untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan eksposisi. Masalah penelitian ini adalah apakah dengan menggunakan media Wall Chart siswa mampu  menulis karangan eksposisi di kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Palembang? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan eksposisi dengan media Wall Chart siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Palembang . Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Peneliti menetapkan satu kelas sebagai subjek penelitian yaitu X SMA Negeri 8 Palembang berjumlah 30 siswa, terdiri 9 laki-laki dan 21 perempuan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes menulis karangan eksposisi. Hasil tes yang didapat adalah pada siklus I, nilai tertinggi yang diperoleh siswa adalah 72 (sebanyak 3 orang) dan nilai terendah yang diperoleh siswa adalah 40 (sebanyak 27 orang). Nilai rata-rata kelas 52,10 dengan presentase keberhasilan belajar siswa 10% (rendah). Pada siklus II, nilai tertinggi 93 (sebanyak 1 orang). Rata-rata kelas 80,50 dengan presentase keberhasilan belajar siswa 83,33% (tinggi). Berdasarkan hasil tes karangan eksposissi siswa dikelas X SMA Negeri 8 Palembang terbukti kebenarannya dan diterima di atas, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa melalui media Wall Chart dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to find out students’ perception about E-learning in English Subject to the Tenth Grade Students’ Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Bangun Jaya and to find out strengths and weaknesses in using E-learning faced by the Tenth Grade Students’ Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Bangun Jaya. This study used a mix method by using questionnaires and open-ended questionnaires. The researchers used total sampling and the sample was 69 students. The data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed through Google Form and WhatsApp application. For analyzing the data, the researchers used a percentage analysis formula. Based on the result of the questionnaire, 36 students or 52.2% had negative perception of E-learning in English subjects, 31 students or 44.9% had positive perception and 2 students or 2.8% had neutral perception. It could be concluded that the Tenth Grade Student of Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Bangun Jaya has negative perception on E-learning in English subject. The result of the open-end questionnaire found that the strength in using the WhatsApp application is that it is easier to submit the assignment. E-learning can eliminate hesitation / unconfidence to practice English, and interaction and communication between teacher and students better. The weakness in using E-learning was students are difficult to understand the material given. They faced limited internet access and the time was not flexible, so that learning activities became ineffective.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the effect of using YouTube social media about roasting several officials in stand-up comedy on the learnining of wriinge biographical texts for grade X students of SMK PGRI 2 Belitang. This reserch uses experimental method.  Samples are selected by using a simple random sampling technique, the samples are students of grade X.1 and X.4 amounting 51 students. The data of this study are obtained through test techniques, questionnaires and interviews with Indonesian teachers who teach in grade X SMK PGRI 2 Belitang. Based on the results of the research description, the result of a significance value of 0.000 which means 0.000 <0.05 so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it means that YouTube social media about roasting some officials in stand-up comedy is effectively used in the learning of writing biographical texts. Thus, it is concluded that "the influence of using YouTube social media about roasting several officials in stand-up comedy on the of writing biographical texts for grade X students of SMK PGRI 2 Belitang" is influential and proven true.

Abstract

The aims of this study were: a) to describe the needs of students and teachers for android-based digital pocketbook learning media at SMK Negeri 1 Palembang; b) to describe the results of the design of android-based digital pocketbook learning media at SMK Negeri 1 Palembang; and c) to describe the validation results of android-based digital pocketbook learning media at SMK Negeri 1 Palembang. In the method used in this development, researchers refer to the research and development (R&D) model using the "ADDIE Model," which has five stages, namely: 1) analysis, 2) design, 3) development, 4) implementation, and 5) evaluation. The results in this study were trials conducted on validators, namely: 1) material experts obtained a score of 41 on average 4.6 in the Very Good category by revising suggestions and comments provided by the validator; 2) linguists got an average score of 23 4.6 in the Very Good category by revising suggestions and comments provided by the validator; and 3) media experts got an average score of 35 4.37 in the Very Good category by revising the suggestions and comments provided by the validator.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu pendukung dalam mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan sekaligus dapat mendukung konsep plantae dan lingkungan bagi 25 siswa IPA SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan melalui pembuatan bioplastik pandan (Pandanus amarylifollius). Kegiatan PkM dilakukan berupa pendampingan, praktek pembuatan bioplastik, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang diisi oleh siswa menunjukkan 86% sangat setuju dan 14% setuju akan pelatihan pembuatan bioplastik ini karena sangat mendukung dalam pemahaman konsep biologi di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan.  Tingginya antusias siswa dalam kegiatan ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi sekolah lain untuk menerapkan bahan baku yang sama.

Abstract

Soap is a cleaning agent commonly used in daily life, especially for Riyadhotul Arifin Junior High School students who live in the school dormitory (pondok). This community service (PkM) aims to provide training in making dish soap by utilizing pandanus and orange leaves around the school. The PkM method is in the form of mentoring 16 students through direct practice of making liquid soap, discussion, and closing. The high enthusiasm of students during the manufacturing process and the presentation of the results of the liquid dish soap that has been produced are evidence of the achievement of the PkM carried out. Similar activities can be an input for other boarding schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of intellectual intelligence and Adversity Quotient on learning motivation State Vocational High School 1 Pasmah Air Keruh. The sample in this study amounted to 96 students. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire or questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research is inferential statistical analysis, correlation test, T test and F test. Based on the results of the study, there is a significant influence of intellectual intelligence and adversity quotient together on learning motivation. This means that the higher the level of intellectual intelligence and adversity quotient in students, the more motivating and enthusiastic students are in learning

Abstract

Kantin Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang (UM Palembang) bukan hanya sekedar tempat untuk menikamati makanan, namun sebagai tempat bertukar pikiran ilmiah bagi sivitas UM Palembang. Suasana yang mendukung sangat dibutuhkan, terutama dari sisi kebersihan kantin yang masih perlu menjadi perhatian bagi pemilik kantin tertutama ketersediaan tempat sampah. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) “Bersinergi” Menuju Kantin Bersih merupakan PkM kolaborasi yang melibatkan dosen pendidikan biologi, mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi (S1 dan S2), serta pemilik kantin. PkM ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi pengelola kantin untuk memanfaatkan barang bekas dalam rangka menuju kantin bersih di UM Palembang. Metode PkM yang dilakukan meliputi pembukaan, edukasi berupa aksi BerKipas (Bersih Kipas angin) serta pemanfaatan bahan bekas untuk kantin, evaluasi sekaligus penutup. Antusias pemilik kantin saat aksi bersih kipas angin serta penggunaan barang bekas menjadi barang berguna bagi kantin yang ada di UM Palembang menunjukkan PkM kolaborasi berjalan sukses. Berdasarkan hasil observasi setelah seminggu kegiatan terlihat bahwa barang bekas hasil kreativitas mahasiswa telah dimanfaatkan oleh mahasiswa dan pemilik kantin.

Abstract

Penyuluhan tentang Linguistik Forensik dalam kaitannya dengan bahaya Cyber Crime di sekolah, dilakukan sebagai upaya pemberian informasi kepada siswa untuk cermat dalam memanfaatkan media sosial. Kejahatan di media sosial berawal dari kebebasan menyampaikan pendapat tentang suatu fenomena. Untuk itu penyuluhan ini dilakukan. Peserta penyuluhan berjumlah 90 orang siswa yang berasal dari kelas XII SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang. Materi yang disampaikan berupa: 1) Media sosial dan peranannya di dalam masyarakat, 2) Makna dan Hakikat Linguistik Forensik, 3) Cyber crime di media sosial dalam analisis Linguistik Forensik, dan 4) Undang-undang ITE. Interaksi penyuluhan mencakup paparan materi, tanya jawab peserta, serta pemberian kuis. Peserta sangat antusias dalam penyuluhan ini dan ke depan direncanakan akan dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan pelatihan  analisis lingusitik forensik agar peserta /siswa menjadi lebih memahami bentuk tuturan di media social yang mengandung unsur pelanggaran hukum dan sedini mungkin dapat melakukan tindakan kontrol diri.   Abstract: Counseling on Forensic Linguistics in relation to the dangers of Cyber ​​Crime in schools was carried out as an effort to provide information to students to be careful in using social media. Crime on social media begins with the freedom to express opinions about a phenomenon. For this reason, this counseling is carried out. The counseling participants numbered 90 students from class XII of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang. The material presented is in the form of: 1) Social media and its role in society, 2) The meaning and nature of Forensic Linguistics, 3) Cyber ​​crime on social media in Forensic Linguistic analysis, and 4) ITE Law. Extension interactions include material presentation, participant questions and answers, and giving quizzes. Participants were very enthusiastic about this counseling and in the future it is planned to continue with forensic linguistic analysis training activities so that participants/students will better understand forms of speech on social media that contain elements of law violations and can take self-control measures as early as possible.
