Abstract

Pendahuluan: End of life  merupakan intervensi keperawatan untuk pasien intensive dan paliatif yang  berfokus membantu pasien dalam menghadapi akhir hidup sehingga mendapatkan kedamaian dan kematian yang bermartarbat. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali pengalaman perawat dalam  melakukan intervensi keperawatan end of life  pada pasien ktritis dan paliatif yang dirawat di ruang ICU RS Islam Faisal Makassar. Metode: Penelitian ini  studi deskriptif kualitatif yang menggali dan mengeksplor pengalaman perawat di ruang ICU RS Islam Faisal Makassar dalam menerapkan intervensi keperawatan end of life.  Teknik pengambilan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu perawat yang telah memiliki pengalaman kerja di ruang ICU minimal 5 tahun dan tidak pernah mendapatkan rotasi selama 5 tahun terakhir serta siap untuk menjadi informan. Informan diwawancarai semi terstruktur oleh peneliti dengan instrumen penelitian yang berdasarkan elemen atau domain terkait konsep peacefull end of life meliputi bebas nyeri, rasa nyaman, merasa bermartabat, berada dalam kedamaian, dan kedekatan keluarga dan orang terdekat. Hasil: Perawat memiliki pengalaman memberikan intervensi end of life di ruang ICU RS Islam Faisal Makassar dengan menerapkan elemen peacefull end of life yang mencakup bebas nyeri, perasaan nyaman, merasa bermartabat, berada dalam kedamaian, kedekatan keluarga dan orang terdekat dengan memperhatikan aspek biopsikososial dan spiritual

Abstract

Hypertension in pregnancy can be classified into pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, chronic hypertension in pregnancy, chronic hypertension with preeclampsia and gestational hypertension. The purpose of holding PkM is to increase public awareness of hypertension in order to prevent further complications and prevent an increase in the incidence of hypertension sufferers, especially in pregnant women in Bonto Kio Village, Minasatene District. The method used is the Socialization of Non-Communicable Diseases and Early Detection of Hypertension through the Community Service Team through Socialization Non-communicable diseases are diseases that cannot be transmitted from person to person, whose development progresses slowly over a long period of time (chronic) and health screening is carried out. including blood pressure, blood sugar check, cholesterol check, uric acid check, height, abdominal circumference and weight. If the screening is complete, counseling is given one by one regarding the results of the screening. Therefore it can be concluded that a significant increase is related to knowledge of pregnant women about hypertension and behavior to control blood pressure before and after community service activities in Bonto Kio Village, Minasatene District.

Abstract

Chemotherapy patients often face great emotional stress. Palliative care interventions by providing psychosocial support help overcome stress, anxiety, and depression that may arise during treatment. In addition to alleviating psychosocial symptoms, alleviating the symptoms of the patient's disease or improving the quality of life of chemotherapy patients also need to be done. The interventions given do not only focus on the patient's bio psychosocial, but interventions related to culture, religion and beliefs are needed for patients. This study aims to determine the palliative care and end of life interventions of nurses based on culture, religion and beliefs in the chemotherapy room of Hasanuddin University Hospital. The research design uses a qualitative research with a purposive sampling technique based on inclusion criteria. The instruments used were interview guidelines related to the theory of peaceful end of life and transcultural nursing theory by considering the cultural, religious and belief aspects of the patient. The results of the study showed that nurses provided interventions for pain, feelings of comfort, feeling dignified, being at peace, closeness to family and close people. Culturally, interventions were carried out by fully involving the family and paying attention to the patient's religion and beliefs in the chemotherapy room.

Abstract

Rubella is included in mild diseases in children, but can have a bad impact if it occurs in pregnant women in the first trimester, namely miscarriage or defects in babies often called Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) such as heart and eye abnormalities, deafness and developmental delays. The purpose of PkM in administering the Measles Rubella vaccine is to stimulate the formation of immunity or resistance to measles and rubella. The method used in PkM activities is the provision of immunization and health education about Measles Rubella in kindergarten children who are the primary targets of the community service program. The results of community service are an increase in knowledge and benefits of immunization (measles rubella vaccine) in children in kindergarten before and after. The conclusion of this activity is an increase in the coverage of Measles Rubella and Antibody in toddlers, especially Kindergartens in Gowa in administering immunization (measles rubella vaccine).

Abstract

A nurse must be able to understand each different response from the patient to the suffering they experience and provide appropriate health services in each different response, both ongoing and future. Spiritual care is an activity in nursing to help patients that is carried out through attitudes and actions of nursing practice based on the values ​​of spiritual nursing, namely recognizing human dignity, kindness, compassion, serenity and gentleness. The purpose of this study was to improve the knowledge and skills of nurses in providing spiritual nursing care. The research method was patient spiritual care in an in-house training program. Results There was an increase in the knowledge and skills of nurses after participating in the activity. The conclusion shows that In-House Training can improve the knowledge and skills of nurses about spiritual nursing care.

Abstract

Herbal medicine is a traditional concoction as one of the widely known and utilized treatment efforts by the community with the aim of treating minor illnesses, preventing the onset of illness, maintaining endurance and health of the body. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the manufacture and use of herbal medicine so that the community is in a healthy condition "all are free from disease". This research method is a non-experimental study with a pretest and posttest design using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that the majority with an average before drinking herbal medicine stated yes (50.3%) and no (49.7%) while those who consumed herbal medicine before answered yes (76.35%) while those who did not (23.7%). The conclusion that there was an increase in the percentage that was previously quite good because respondents felt the benefits for respondents from the herbal medicine and the results obtained by respondents after drinking herbal medicine gave a good response and their perception after consuming herbal medicine is known to have been passed down from generation to generation to make the body healthy and fit and increase body immunity.

Abstract

Hospitals as organizations can place clients and caregivers under a serious burden of stress, which then affects their physical and emotional health. Working conditions in nursing show that work stress can have a big impact on the quality of life of nurses. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between work stress, job satisfaction and individual characteristics with the quality of life of nurses in the Emergency Unit at Makassar General Hospital. The research method is descriptive using a cross sectional design with a quantitative approach. The results of the study concluded that there was a relationship between age (p value = 0.04), marital status (p value = 0.02), work stress (p value = 0.004) and job satisfaction (0.04) with the quality of life of nurses. However, there was no relationship between gender (p value = 1.00) and level of education (p value = 0.9) with nurses' quality of life. The most dominant factor related to quality of life is work stress. Work stress will affect the quality of life of nurses who work in the emergency room. Work stress affects the quality of life of emergency room nurses. Job satisfaction is related to the quality of life of emergency department nurses. The nurse's age is related to the quality of life of emergency department nurses. The gender of the nurse is not related to the quality of life of emergency department nurses. Nursing education is related to the quality of life of emergency department nurses. Nurses' marital status is related to the quality of life of emergency department nurses.

Abstract

Basic life support is a series of emergency measures designed to save the life of a person experiencing a life-threatening medical condition. Basic life support can be used in any situation, from a heart attack to an accident. Basic life support is the first effort made to maintain life when a sufferer experiences a threatening situation. Emergency events cannot be predicted and can happen anywhere and to anyone. Delays and errors in handling them can have very fatal effects and cannot be corrected in subsequent actions. The aim of this research is to look for similarities, advantages and disadvantages regarding the description of knowledge and implementation of basic life support for emergency nurses in the emergency department. This research method uses a correlational descriptive method. This research uses a sample with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis is based on percentages and described in a frequency distribution table. The results of the research show a relationship between knowledge and skills of nurses in carrying out basic life support measures in the emergency department at Palaloi Hospital, Maros Regency. The level of relationship between the two variables is that the strength of the relationship is at a medium relationship level. Apart from that, this positive relationship means an increase in knowledge followed by an increase in nurses' skills in carrying out basic life support actions.

Abstract

Background: Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that affects the brain, leading to recurrent seizures in one or more parts of the body. Awareness about epilepsy and its proper management is limited among the general public. Objective: This study aimed to assess the impact of educational interventions on teachers' knowledge of first aid management for children with epilepsy. Methods: This quantitative study utilized a Quasi-Experimental design, specifically a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study sample consisted of 10 teachers, selected through total sampling. Results: The findings indicated that the educational intervention on first aid management for children with epilepsy resulted in a statistically significant increase in teachers' knowledge levels at MIM Tanabangka, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.000. Conclusion: Prior to the educational intervention, teachers' knowledge regarding first aid management of children with epilepsy was moderate. Following the intervention, a significant improvement in knowledge was observed.

Abstract

Background: Minor open wounds are a common type of injury in daily life. Open wounds that do not receive proper treatment may develop into more severe conditions. A solid understanding of emergency management from an early stage is crucial to preventing the patient's condition from worsening. Objective: This study aimed to describe students' level of knowledge regarding first aid for minor open wounds. Methods: This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, involving 39 respondents. Results: The findings indicated that students' level of knowledge about first aid for minor open wounds was in moderate category. Most students understood the basics of first aid; however, there were still gaps in knowledge regarding bleeding control and maintaining wound cleanliness to prevent infection. Conclusion: The student's level of knowledge of first aid in managing minor open wounds in this study falls within the moderate category. Further efforts are necessary to improve students' understanding of first aid, especially in managing open wounds.
