Abstract

Advances in information technology and telecommunications have brought significant changes to the field of education. Technology-based learning media provides an effective solution for improving the quality of learning and student motivation. One of the emerging technologies is augmented reality (AR), which can create interactive and engaging learning experiences. Observations at the Amal Shaleh Islamic Junior High School revealed the need for more interactive, technology-based learning tools. The learning process still relies on conventional methods, such as explanations on the blackboard and textbooks, making it challenging for students to fully grasp the material. The researchers chose the topic "Management of Deceased Bodies" as the focus for developing learning media, given the importance of understanding the procedures for managing corpses according to Islamic law. In fiqh studies, the obligation to care for a corpse is considered a fardhu kifayah, meaning that if one person fulfills this duty, the responsibility is lifted from others. However, if no one performs the task, the entire community bears the sin. Thus, it is crucial for students to understand and apply the procedures correctly. This research employed the Markerless method, and the outcome was an interactive learning medium utilizing augmented reality. The goal of this innovation is to enhance students' understanding of the procedures for handling deceased bodies, enabling them to apply this knowledge within their communities

Abstract

Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation is one of the primary causes of premature skin aging and various facial skin problems. However, selecting an appropriate sunscreen product remains challenging due to limited consumer knowledge and the overlapping nature of facial skin concerns. This study proposes a decision support model using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) to determine the most suitable sunscreen product based on six common skin problems: acne-prone skin, very dry skin, outdoor-induced dullness, aging, hyperpigmentation and acne scars, and general dullness. These criteria were derived from literature and validated by a certified skincare expert. Nine sunscreen alternatives from the Wardah brand—chosen due to their wide usage in the Indonesian market and varying SPF, PA levels, and formulations—were evaluated. Expert judgment was used in pairwise comparisons, with Consistency Ratio (CR) used to ensure reliability. The ANP model was developed using unweighted, weighted, and limit supermatrices. Results showed that Wardah UV Shield Aqua Fresh Sunscreen Serum SPF 50 PA++++ had the highest global priority score. A prototype web-based system was built using PHP and MySQL to deliver personalized sunscreen recommendations. The novelty of this study lies in its integration of expert dermatological insights and the use of ANP to address interrelated skin concerns, which are rarely explored in prior skincare decision support research.

Abstract

Accurately determining the ripeness level of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) is crucial for ensuring post-harvest quality and distribution efficiency. This study proposes a method for classifying red dragon fruit ripeness using color moment features in the HSV color space combined with the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm. The dataset consists of 2,881 images of dragon fruit with a resolution of 800×800 pixels, categorized into three classes: ripe (886 images), unripe (1,241 images), and rotten (754 images). All images were captured under natural lighting conditions and underwent pre-processing to enhance color value consistency. Color features were extracted by calculating the mean, standard deviation, and skewness of the Hue, Saturation, and Value channels. The K-NN model was trained and tested on data randomly split in an 80:20 ratio. The testing results showed that the model achieved 100% accuracy in classifying the ripeness levels, demonstrating the effectiveness of this non-destructive method in distinguishing fruit ripeness. This approach holds strong potential to support efficient and consistent decision-making in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Organisasi Pramuka Madrasah Aliyah Laboratorium UINSU menghadapi tantangan dalam melakukan evaluasi kinerja anggotanya secara objektif. Penempatan anggota yang tidak sesuai dengan kompetensinya menyebabkan ketidakefisienan kerja dan menurunnya motivasi organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem penilaian kinerja berbasis algoritma K-Means Clustering dengan menggunakan Kamus Kompetensi Spencer sebagai indikator penilaian. Data diperoleh dari 80 anggota aktif melalui form penilaian dan, lalu diolah menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python dan dijalankan di Google Colaboratory. Metode Elbow digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah optimal cluster. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anggota berhasil dikelompokkan ke dalam tiga kategori utama: anggota dengan kinerja sangat baik, baik dan cukup. Sistem ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan objektivitas dalam evaluasi, mempermudah pengambilan keputusan, serta memberikan dasar pengembangan potensi anggota secara tepat sasaran.

Abstract

Banyak individu mengalami kesulitan dalam memilih pakaian yang sesuai dengan karakteristik fisik dan preferensi gaya pribadi, sehingga sering menimbulkan ketidakpuasan dalam penampilan. Permasalahan ini menuntut adanya solusi berbasis data yang mampu memberikan rekomendasi secara objektif. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem rekomendasi pakaian berbasis web dengan algoritma decision tree, yang menggunakan lima atribut utama yaitu jenis kelamin, tinggi badan, berat badan, warna kulit (skintone), dan gaya berpakaian. Dataset yang digunakan berjumlah 180 kombinasi data hasil studi pustaka, referensi fashion, serta validasi melalui wawancara dengan ahli. Model Decision Tree dibangun dengan perhitungan Entropy dan Information Gain sehingga menghasilkan struktur pohon keputusan dengan atribut "style" sebagai faktor dominan dalam klasifikasi. Pengujian dilakukan dengan 3 data uji baru, dan hasil evaluasi menggunakan Confusion Matrix menunjukkan tingkat akurasi sebesar 100%. Selain itu, uji coba responden melalui kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pengguna merasa puas terhadap kualitas rekomendasi dan kemudahan penggunaan sistem. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan tidak hanya mampu meningkatkan objektivitas dalam pemilihan pakaian, tetapi juga memberikan pengalaman yang lebih praktis dan personal bagi pengguna.

Abstract

This study introduces the Apriori algorithm in beauty product availability prediction system as a solution to enhance stock prediction accuracy and mitigate inventory risks in the beauty industry. By applying data mining technology, specifically the Apriori algorithm, Kazana Kosmetik aims to gain insights into consumer purchasing patterns to optimize operations. The research analyzes transaction data to identify key buying patterns and improve stock management strategies. The results reveal seven main purchasing patterns with an average confidence value of 0.414, offering valuable guidance for Kazana Kosmetik in inventory control and marketing tactics. By leveraging data mining techniques, companies like Kazana Kosmetik can streamline sales strategies and enhance customer satisfaction. This research underscores the effectiveness of the Apriori algorithm in predicting beauty product availability and its potential to revolutionize operational efficiency in the cosmetics market.

Abstract

PT. Union Confectionery, a long-established company in the confectionery production industry, had encountered significant challenges in managing employee career progression, including transfers, demotions, and promotions. The primary issue faced was the difficulty in conducting objective employee performance assessments and determining the appropriate criteria for career development. These assessments involved various complex factors such as work experience, discipline, education level, age, job performance, attendance, teamwork, and work ethics. To address these challenges, this study proposed the implementation of a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) utilizing the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method for criteria weighting and the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method for ranking decisions. The implementation of this system was expected to assist the management of PT. Union Confectionery in making more accurate and transparent decisions, while also improving employee satisfaction and operational efficiency. This research also compared previous studies that used similar methods for performance assessment, albeit with a narrower focus, specifically at the supervisory level. The findings from this study were anticipated to provide a comprehensive and innovative solution for employee career management across all levels of PT. Union Confectionery’s organization, as well as contribute to the development of more effective human resource management practices.

Abstract

The advancement of computer technology has developed rapidly and has been applied in various aspects of life. At that time, computers were considered one of the most efficient tools in supporting technological development. At the Office of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (OI-OIS) in Medan City, the process of applying for Building Permits (BP) was still conducted manually and had not been computerized, resulting in slow and inefficient licensing processes. Applicants were required to fill out forms manually and deliver physical documents to the village and sub-district offices, which extended processing times. Furthermore, application reports were often piled up, hindering prompt and accurate handling. The lack of efficiency in managing applicant data further exacerbated the situation and slowed down the completion of applications. Therefore, an integrated digital system was needed to expedite and facilitate the submission and management of IMB applications. This research aimed to develop an Android-based Information System for Building Permit Applications at DPMPTSP in Medan City using the R&D (Research and Development) method. It was hoped that this application would make it easier for staff to manage IMB application data. The research results indicated that the development of the Android-based Information System for Building Permit Applications successfully addressed the issues encountered in the previously manual IMB application process. This application expedited and simplified the filling out and submission of applications, eliminating the need for applicants to deliver physical documents. Additionally, the management of applicant data became more efficient and computerized, reducing the backlog of reports and speeding up the verification process.

Abstract

Drug abuse among adolescents was difficult to identify early without official examinations, while manual methods were often inaccurate. The process of determining rehabilitation also faced challenges due to the lack of technology-based support systems capable of effectively analyzing the level of addiction and type of drug used, resulting in rehabilitation that was often not well-targeted. To address this issue, the algorithm was utilized to diagnose drug addiction in adolescents by providing scores or rankings indicating addiction levels: scores of 1 and 2 represented mild addiction, 3 and 4 indicated moderate addiction, and 5 or higher represented severe addiction. The FMADM-ELECTRE algorithm recommended various types of rehabilitation actions for recovery. It offered precise evaluation ranges and scores, simplifying the classification and determination of appropriate detoxification measures for each type of drug-addicted adolescent. This system classified three levels of drug addiction among adolescents, corresponding to three stages of rehabilitation for drug addicts: non-medical (social) rehabilitation, medical rehabilitation (detoxification), and aftercare (post-rehabilitation). Additionally, the web-based support system was designed to be accessible across various devices, including laptops, computers, tablets, and smartphones, facilitating quicker and more efficient decision-making for relevant institutions. This approach also integrated multi-criteria methods to ensure fairness and accuracy in analysis, supporting a comprehensive rehabilitation process.

Abstract

The development of technology today is very rapid, thus encouraging people to use technology more developed. Nowadays, marketing systems and product promotion via the internet are experiencing rapid growth. Many companies use information technology as a corporate strategy to provide products to all consumers without limiting space and time. marketing of tea products carried out by PTPN IV is less efficient because it is only distributed in supermarkets and minimarkets. the lack of marketing to the public such as shop owners or wholesalers makes it difficult for consumers to reach these tea products, especially consumers who are far from supermarkets or minimarkets. by building a tea product ordering information system integrated with midtrans payment gateway. With the construction of this system consumers can make purchases directly to the center and can make direct payments with the payment methods provided by midtrans. this system can minimize existing problems related to ordering and marketing. This system allows the admin to easily manage marketing and ordering data. For consumers (users) can better maintain the security of order data.
