Abstract

Evaluation of educational programs is an effort to find out the goals of education, it can also be interpreted as an effort to provide information that will later be conveyed to decision makers. This study is intended to review how evaluation of educational programs can play a role in optimizing the quality of learning. By using a qualitative ethnographic research approach in which we conducted direct observations and interviews with one of the teaching staff at the target school, this study found: First, evaluation activities were carried out regularly on a weekly basis. Second, the method used in evaluating madrasas is through standards of infrastructure, curriculum and financing. Third, the educational program implemented is a question and answer pattern regarding children's talents and interests. This makes it easier for educational staff to find out which programs are suitable to be implemented. Thus, evaluation of educational programs plays a very important role in improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

Education is the main pillar in the development of a nation. The principal as an educational leader at the school level has an important role in creating a conducive and innovative learning environment. Analysis of school principal performance can provide a clear picture of the principal's ability to lead and manage educational innovation. Through this analysis, factors that support and hinder efforts to increase educational innovation can be identified. Apart from that, this analysis can also provide recommendations that can help school principals improve their performance and implement effective and sustainable educational innovations. Thus, research on analyzing the performance of school principals in improving educational innovation is very important. It is hoped that the results of this research will make a significant contribution to the development of educational policies, improving the quality of school principal leadership, as well as implementing more effective educational innovations in schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kebijakan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Nurul Fadhilah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yaitu dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dab studi dokumen. Hasil penelitiaan menunjukkan bahwa Kebijakan Kepala Madrasah dalam Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan Siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Fadhilah telah menunjukkan hasil yang cukup positif. Beberapa kebijakan yang diterapkan mencakup penetapan jam masuk yang tegas, kegiatan apel pagi, kebersihan lingkungan dan kelas, serta penegakan tata tertib terkait pakaian, ibadah, dan larangan penggunaan handphone. Penerapan sistem reward dan punishment juga menjadi bagian penting dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of group counseling services on students' learning motivation at SMP Pahlawan Nasional. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with control and experimental groups. The research sample consisted of ninth-grade students selected based on the recommendation of the guidance counselor due to their low learning motivation. Data were obtained through questionnaires filled out before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the treatment. The research results show a significant increase in students' learning motivation after participating in group counseling services. The average learning motivation score increased from 55.91% (low category) to 68.70% (high category) with an average increase of 12.78%. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test reinforces these results, showing that group counseling services significantly influence the increase in students' learning motivation (p < 0.05). This research makes an important contribution to the field of education, particularly in the use of group counseling services as an effective method to enhance students' learning motivation. This is relevant to be applied to students with low learning motivation in order to improve their academic performance.
