Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode forward chaining terhadap kesadaran penile hygiene pada aspek membersihkan organ seksual pada siswa down syndrome. Kemampuan membersihkan organ seksual terpusat pada pengenalan tata cara membasuh, membersihkan, membilas, dan mengeringkan organ seksual. Metode forward chaining digunakan karena sifatnya membagi tugas menjadi langkah-langkah terkecil dan memudahkan anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam mempelajari sesuatu yang kompleks. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen subjek tunggal atau single subject research (SSR). Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa peningkatan terhadap kesadaran penile hygiene siswa down syndrome pada aspek membersihkan organ seksual, pada baseline 1 (A-1) diperoleh nilai rata-rata 38%, data yang diperoleh pada fase ini diambil sebelum diberikannya perlakuan (kemampuan awal) pada subjek. Pada fase intervensi (B) subjek mengalami peningkatan dikarenakan adanya perlakuan atau treatment dengan menggunakan metode forward chaining dengan rata-rata nilai 60%. Pada fase baseline 2 (A-2) subjek memperoleh nilai rata-rata 55%, data yang diperoleh pada fase ini diambil secara alami setelah subjek diberikan intervensi pada fase sebelumnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain data that provides an overview of how the special Indonesian Sign Language System and oral communication program is implemented in special needs school classes. This study used a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. In the data collection process, the researchers chose the instruments of interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis researchers used the data analysis model of Miles and Huberman in Sugiyono (2017), which consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the description of the implementation of the special Indonesian Sign Language System and oral communication program for deaf students begins with assessment activities and follows up. In the planning stage, teachers prepare assessment instruments, then develop lesson plans, provide learning media, tools, and places. The implementation process is carried out based on the lesson plan that has been made and the sequence of materials that have been designed. Activities are not only in the classroom, but also outside the classroom. Follow-up in the form of discussions and delivery of progress by teachers to parents of students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran pola asuh orang tua pada kemandirian anak dengan hambatan intelektual dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah menggunakan triangulasi dengan sistem observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Menggunakan empat data primer dari 3 orang tua dan 1 guru. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapat pola asuh orang tua dalam kemandrian anak dengan hambatan intelektual pada jenjang SMAKh di SKh Negeri 02 Kota Serang yaitu kedua orang tua anak A. M dan T. Y. A menerapkan pola asuh demokrasi dan orang tua anak I. M. S menerapkan pola asuh campuran yakni pola asuh permisif, pola asuh otoriter dan pola asuh demokrasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ketiga orang tua mempunyai caranya masing-masing dalam mengembangkan kemandirian hal ini dikarenakan adanya perbedaan kepercayaan, kepribadian orang tua dan penerimaan pola asuh yang pernah diterima orang tua. Namun kemandirian anak dengan hambatan intelektual dapat berkembang dengan cara orang tua yang menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan setiap anak. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu menjadi informasi orang tua pada penerapan pola asuh dalam kemandirian anak dengan hambatan intelektual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pola interaksi sosial anak dengan hambatan intelektual dengan lingkungan sekolah melalui modifikasi perilaku menggunakan teknik shaping di SKh 01 Kota Serang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan desain A-B-A dengan rentang sesi yaitu baseilne 1 (A1) sebanyak 4 kali sesi, intervensi (B) sebanyak 8 kali sesi, dan baseline 2 (A2) sebanyak 4 kali sesi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan di tampilkan melalui grafik garis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan penerapan teknik shaping dalam meningkatkan pola interaksi anak dengan hambatan intelektual dapat meningkatkan pola interaksi anak dengan lingkungan sekitar anak dengan hasil yang diperoleh pada fase baseline 1 (A1) nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 33%. Pada intervensi (B) nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh meningkat menjadi 87% sedangkan pada baseline 2 (A2) nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 66%.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the application of the direct instruction method to enhance floral henna art skills, despite the significant impact such skill development can have on the vocational abilities of deaf students, aligned with their individual interests and talents. The objective of this research is to improve the henna art makeup skills of deaf students through the application of the direct instruction method. A quantitative approach was employed using an experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, involving four participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via performance tests and analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The analysis yielded a Thitung value of 10, which is greater than Ttabel = 0 at a 0.05 significance level (N=4), thus rejecting H₀. This indicates that the direct instruction method has a significant effect on improving floral henna art skills in deaf students. These findings support the theory that vocational skill development should align with students’potential, interests, and talents. The study concludes that direct instruction is effective in enhancing vocational skills among deaf students in the field of henna art. The implications include theoretical contributions to special education research and practical benefits for policy formulation, cosmetology skills training, and the development of inclusive vocational programs. This research also opens opportunities for further studies on applying similar methods to other relevant skill areas.

Abstract

This study aimed to implement the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)-based Loose Part Play Media on an understanding of cerebral palsy pre-service teachers in the city of Serang. The participants in this study are cerebral palsy pre-service teachers in Serang, Indonesia. The participant was 21 teachers. The method in this activity is a case study. The results showed that increasing of the STEM understanding was 26.2. It can be concluded that the STEM-based loose part play media can increase the STEM understanding of the pre-service teachers to find solutions to the problems faced by cerebral palsy pre-service teachers in Serang. An increase in understanding achievement indicates this through loose part play STEM of 26.2 (seen from the initial and final test), and the pre-service teacher's understanding of STEM-based loose play part media is 82.5.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of using kinetic sand media as an intervention tool to improve the initial writing skills, specifically graphomotor control and letter imitation, in students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) at SKh Negeri 02 Lebak. The research employed a quantitative pre-experimental design using the One Group Pre-test Post-test design. The subjects consisted of three students with intellectual disabilities (N=3) from the SDLB level. Data were collected through observation checklists (pre-test and post-test) and analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, appropriate for a small sample size. The analysis revealed a significant increase in the subjects’ initial writing scores following the kinetic sand intervention. The statistical test yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of p 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. This result substantiates that the sensory and manipulative nature of kinetic sand successfully strengthened the subjects' intrinsic hand muscles and enhanced fine motor control necessary for writing. It is concluded that the use of kinetic sand media has a positive and statistically significant effect on improving the initial writing skills of students with intellectual disabilities. The intervention is highly recommended for special education settings as an engaging and effective pre-writing preparatory activity.
