Abstract

This research aims to explore the understanding of Christology in the daily lives of Christians in the modern era and its implications for faith growth. Within the context of pluralism, secularism, and technological advancement, the challenge is to uphold the authentic teachings of Christ. The research method employs a qualitative approach through literature study, in-depth interviews with theologians and congregants, and participatory observation in church activities. The findings reveal that a correct understanding of the person of Jesus Christ as both God and man is highly relevant in shaping the faith identity of Christians. Furthermore, the research illustrates how Christological teachings can be applied in everyday life, encouraging acts of love, integrity, and attention to social issues. Thus, Christology serves not only as a theological study but also as a practical guide for Christians to face contemporary challenges and effect positive change in society.

Abstract

Doktrin ini membahas bagaimana Tuhan menyelamatkan manusia dari dosa dan kehancuran serta menjamin mereka hidup kekal. Dari sudut pandang Kristiani, pemahaman yang mendalam tentang doktrin keselamatan tidak hanya memberikan harapan kekal, namun juga memberikan landasan moral dan spiritual yang kokoh bagi umat beriman. Keselamatan adalah tindakan Tuhan menyelamatkan umat-Nya dari segala sesuatu yang mengancam kehidupan mereka, termasuk penyakit, musuh, dan bencana, serta merawat mereka setelah mereka terbebas dari bahaya tersebut. Keselamatan, pembebasan, dan dukungan hanya datang dari Tuhan.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas pendekatan refleksi teologis menggunakan metode lingkaran pastoral dalam konteks pendidikan Kristen. Lingkaran pastoral, yang terdiri dari tahapan melihat, menilai, bertindak, dan merayakan, menjadi alat yang efektif untuk mengintegrasikan pengalaman hidup dengan ajaran Kristiani. Pendekatan ini bertujuan agar pendidikan Kristen tidak hanya bersifat teoritis, tetapi juga membentuk karakter, spiritualitas, dan kepekaan sosial peserta didik. Dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan kompleksitas sosial, refleksi teologis ini memberikan ruang bagi peserta didik untuk memahami iman secara kontekstual dan menjadi agen perubahan dalam masyarakat. Dengan penerapan yang tepat, pendidikan Kristen berbasis lingkaran pastoral dapat melahirkan individu yang memiliki iman kuat serta komitmen nyata terhadap nilai-nilai Kerajaan Allah.

Abstract

The moral formation of a child is first found in the family, so education at school adds more formation and knowledge to strengthen his personality. Because in school a child learns in three domains, namely cognitive, affective, and psychomotor, cooperation, responsibility, respect, and even to recognize himself. The reality is that students learn do not have advantages and uniqueness personally but on the contrary student achievement decreases, does not carry out their obligations as students to learn, and does not know themselves. There is a very significant positive relationship between Christian religious education and the moral formation of students at Pelita Bangsa Christian Middle School Bandung in the 2019/2020 school year, this is indicated by the product-moment correlation value of 0.737 with a significant level of 0.05.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the author's curiosity to explore the contemporary meaning of the content of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:8-10, which has become a topic of discussion in Christianity. This parable illustrates God's love for a lost soul and conveys moral and spiritual messages that are relevant in the context of modern Christian life. The purpose of this research is to explore the meaning of the parable of the lost dirham in the Gospel of Luke in the controversy or phenomenon of contemporary Christianity. The research method in this paper uses a qualitative approach through literature review to explore the moral and spiritual messages contained in this parable and its relevance in contemporary Christian religious education. The findings confirm that the parable emphasizes the infinite love of the Creator for each individual who feels "lost" in his or her journey. More than just a story, the parable reflects God's love and concern for the "lost" soul. Its moral and spiritual message is a strong foundation in modern Christian religious education, encouraging us to appreciate the uniqueness of each soul while spreading the message of love and hope to others. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keingintahuan penulis untuk menggali makna terkini dalam muatan perumpamaan tentang 'Dirham yang Hilang' dalam kitab Lukas 15:8-10 menjadi pokok perbincangan dalam ajaran agama Kristen. Perumpamaan ini mengilustrasikan kasih Ilahi terhadap jiwa yang terhilang, serta menyampaikan pesan moral dan spiritual yang relevan dalam konteks kehidupan Kristen modern. Tujuan penelitian ini berupaya untuk menggali makna kembali pada perumpamaan dirham yang hilang dalam kitab Injil Lukas dalam kontestasi ataupun fenomena Kekrisnan saat ini. Metode penelitian dalam tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui telaah literatur untuk mengeksplorasi pesan moral dan rohani yang terkandung dalam perumpamaan ini dan relevansinya dalam pendidikan agama Kristen masa kini. Hasil temuan menegaskan bahwa perumpamaan ini menyoroti kasih yang tak terbatas dari Sang Pencipta terhadap setiap individu yang merasa 'terhilang' dalam perjalanannya. Lebih daripada sekadar kisah, perumpamaan ini menjadi cermin kasih dan perhatian Ilahi terhadap jiwa yang 'terhilang'. Pesan moral dan spiritualnya menjadi fondasi kuat dalam pendidikan agama Kristen modern, mendorong kita untuk menghargai keunikan setiap jiwa sambil menyebarkan pesan kasih dan harapan kepada sesama.

Abstract

Singing nunga loja daginghon as a lullaby for children in the family has become an inseparable tradition in the life of the Christian Batak family. A spiritual song born in the socio-historical context of the poor and oppressed proletariat in Germany has been adopted into a lullaby spiritual song in Batak derived from Ende's book written with a description of the evening chant. The specialty of this song in the life of the Batak Christian family is interesting to examine with a qualitative approach through the study of literature in a musical and socio-historical perspective. This approach is done to find the background of this song used as a lullaby at night and also at the same time to find the meaning contained in this song as a medium of spiritual education for children in the life of the Christian Batak family. Researchers argue that based on an analysis of the song form and socio-historical context of Nunga Loja Daginghon's song, singing this song at night is very effective as a form of spiritual education for children in the context of Christian Batak family life. Menyanyikan lagu Nunga Loja Daginghon sebagai pengantar tidur bagi anak-anak dalam keluarga telah menjadi tradisi yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam kehidupan keluarga Batak Kristen. Lagu rohani yang lahir dalam konteks sosio-historis kaum proletar yang miskin dan tertindas di Jerman telah diadopsi menjadi lagu rohani pengantar tidur dalam bahasa Batak yang bersumber dari buku Ende yang ditulis dengan keterangan nyanyian pada malam hari. Keistimewaan lagu ini dalam kehidupan keluarga Batak Kristen menarik untuk ditelaah dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan dalam perspektif musik dan sosio-historis. Pendekatan ini dilakukan untuk menemukan latar belakang lagu ini dijadikan sebagai lagu pengantar tidur pada malam hari dan juga sekaligus untuk menemukan makna yang terkandung dalam lagu ini sebagai media pendidikan spiritualitas bagi anak-anak dalam kehidupan keluarga Batak Kristen. Peneliti berpendapat bahwa berdasarkan analisis terhadap bentuk lagu dan konteks sosio-historis terhadap lagu Nunga Loja Daginghon, menyanyikan lagu ini pada malam hari sangat efektif sebagai bentuk pendidikan spiritualitas bagi anak-anak dalam konteks kehidupan keluarga Batak Kristen.

Abstract

Abstract. Throughout its history, the Church has faced various internal and external problems, including divisions (schism), heresy, and social changes that require the Church to continue to adapt to the dynamics of an ever-changing world. Modern challenges such as secularism, moral relativism, and developments in technology and information also affect the lives of Christians. This research will comprehensively review various dimensions of Ecclesiology doctrine, starting from the basic understanding of the Church according to the Bible, the role of the Church in the Christian tradition, as well as the historical development of the concept of the Church. Apart from that, it will also be discussed how the Church plays a role in the lives of believers through sacraments, proclamation of the Gospel, and social action. The method used in this research is descriptive literature study using various sources such as books, journals, articles related to church doctrine. The research findings show that church doctrine has an important role in the lives of Christians. This is based on the teachings contained in church doctrine being the basis of Christian faith. Abstrak. Sepanjang sejarahnya, Gereja telah menghadapi berbagai masalah internal maupun eksternal, termasuk perpecahan (skisma), ajaran sesat (heresy), dan perubahan sosial yang mengharuskan Gereja untuk terus menyesuaikan diri dengan dinamika dunia yang terus berubah. Tantangan-tantangan modern seperti sekularisme, relativisme moral, serta perkembangan teknologi dan informasi yang juga mempengaruhi kehidupan umat Kristen. Penelitian ini akan mengulas secara komprehensif berbagai dimensi dalam doktrin Eklesiologi, dimulai dari pengertian dasar Gereja menurut Alkitab, peran Gereja dalam tradisi Kristen, serta perkembangan historis konsep Gereja. Selain itu, akan dibahas pula bagaimana Gereja berperan dalam kehidupan umat beriman melalui sakramen, pewartaan Injil, serta tindakan sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptis studi kepustakaan dengan berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal, artikel yang berkaitan dengan doktrin gereja. Adapun hasil temuan peneliti, bahwa doktrin gereja memiliki peran penting terhadap kehidupan umat Kristen. Hal ini berdasarkan, ajaran yang ada pada doktrin gereja menjadi dasar iman umat Kristen.

Abstract

Leadership is an essential element in shaping the direction and success of a community, whether in social, spiritual, or organizational contexts. The figure of Jacob, also known as Israel, in the biblical narrative, presents a model of leadership that is both complex and rich in values. Through his challenging life journey from conflict with Esau, experiences in Laban’s household, to his role as the head of a large family Jacob demonstrates management principles that remain relevant in modern settings. He was able to resolve conflicts through diplomatic approaches, delegate responsibilities systematically, and foster harmonious family relationships. From the perspective of Theological Management, Jacob’s leadership places God at the center of every decision, reflecting integrity, patience, and empathetic communication.

Abstract

The implementation of Community Service (PKM) aims to carry out socio-economic transformation of vulnerable families through education and participatory actions of the congregation of the Indonesian Bethel Church (GBI) Tumbang Rungan Palangka Raya. Congregation members who fall into the category of socio-economically vulnerable families need to receive special attention from the church. This special service is a form of needs-based service, which focuses not only on spiritual services but also on education and economics. The specific targets of this PKM are: (1) Providing an understanding of the congregation about the importance of Socio-Economic Transformation, (2) Providing social education and economic literacy training for vulnerable families in GBI Tumbang Rungan, and (3) Increasing the role and participatory actions of the Congregation in GBI Tumbang Rungan. The proposed activity plan includes a series of workshops and focus group discussions to identify the socio-economic needs of vulnerable families, conducting education and congregation participation adapted from the results of the workshops, and evaluating the impact of this program on congregation attendance at Sunday services. This study used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which actively involved the congregation in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program. With this approach, it is hoped that the socio-economic transformation program for vulnerable families, through education and participatory action by the GBI Tumbang Rungan Palangka Raya congregation, will improve their well-being and strengthen their bond with the church community.
