Abstract

Several universities in Indonesia usually provide rental housing facilities for their students to accommodate their temporary housing needs during the study period, which is usually in the form of dormitories or flats. Rental housing is one of the needs that students need while studying at a college or university, especially for students who come from outside the area where the college is located. However, because the number of students is not comparable to the rental housing capacity provided by the campus, students have to look for alternative housing in the area around the campus. Therefore, many private sectors have emerged in areas around campus that provide various types of housing for students. This research aims to analyze the typology of student housing around the PGRI Yogayakarta University campus. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with direct observation to collect, analyze and conclude the necessary data and information related to the typology of student housing around the PGRI Yogyakarta University area.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the character values contained in the traditional game of galasin, develop a character education model based on the traditional game of galasin that can be implemented in elementary schools, and measure the effectiveness of the model in improving students' character values. This research was conducted on 4th grade students at SD Islam Ash-Syakirin. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, this research involves students, teachers, and principals as the main subjects. Data were collected through participatory observation (four observations), in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, and validated using method triangulation techniques. The results of the study showed that the Galasin game taught students important values such as cooperation, tolerance, sportsmanship, and respect for diversity. Through these games, students learn to appreciate differences, interact with friends from different backgrounds, and build an inclusive attitude in daily life. In addition, the role of teachers in directing and reflecting on students' experiences during play has a great influence on the understanding of global diversity values. The traditional Galasin game not only serves as entertainment, but also as an effective means of character education in strengthening the sense of unity and togetherness in the school environment. Therefore, the integration of traditional games in learning in elementary schools needs to be developed in order to instill character values that are relevant to community life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran media pembelajaran domino dalam membangun pemahaman konseptual perkalian pada siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dengan guru kelas dan siswa kelas IV SDIT Yasir, dan dokumentasi proses pembelajaran. Validatas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode. Media domino digunakan sebagai alat bantu visual dan manipulatif yang dirancang untuk mengaitkan konsep perkalian dengan aktivitas bermain secara berkelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran media domino mampu membangun pemahaman siswa dalam mengenali konseptual perkalian, memudahkan proses penyelesaian soal, serta meningkatkan ketepatan jawaban. Aktivitas mencocokkan pasangan angka pada kartu domino membantu siswa memahami relasi antar angka secara lebih konkret. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar, partisipasi aktif, dan kolaborasi dengan teman sekelompoknya. Meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaannya, seperti keterbatasan waktu dan media pembelajaran, guru dapat mengatasinya melalui strategi pengelompokan beragam dan integrasi pembelajaran dalam beberapa sesi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi upaya penguatan literasi bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas 3 SD. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi langsung, dan telaah dokumen. Subjek penelitian meliputi siswa, guru dan kepala sekolah. Fokus penelitian meliputi tiga aspek literasi membaca: menemukan dan mengakses informasi, menginterpretasikan dan mengintegrasikan isi bacaan, serta mengevaluasi dan merefleksikan isi teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa telah memiliki kemampuan dasar literasi, seperti memahami ide pokok dan menceritakan ulang isi bacaan. Guru berperan penting dalam membimbing siswa melalui strategi pembelajaran aktif, sementara kepala sekolah mendukung dengan kebijakan dan fasilitas literasi. Namun, tantangan seperti rendahnya minat baca, keterbatasan bahan bacaan digital, serta belum meratanya kemampuan antar siswa masih perlu diatasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan literasi perlu dilakukan secara kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan, melibatkan seluruh elemen sekolah dan keluarga. Dengan demikian, diharapkan budaya literasi dapat tumbuh sejak dini dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap perkembangan akademik dan karakter siswa. Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kontribusinya dalam menjawab kebutuhan nyata di lapangan terkait lemahnya literasi fungsional di tingkat sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi landasan penting bagi guru dan pemangku kebijakan dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran literasi yang lebih terarah, aplikatif, dan berkelanjutan di jenjang pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menelaah pengaruh metode Discovery Learning terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa kelas tinggi di SDIT Yasir Tangerang. Dengan masih terbatasnya penelitian yang sama di tingkat sekolah dasar menjadi alasan pentingnya penelitian ini dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei untuk memperoleh data secara objektif dari responden. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 110 siswa dengan sampel sebanyak 86 siswa. Data didapatkan melalui penyebaran angket tertutup kepada 86 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan rumus Slovin dan teknik stratified sampling untuk memastikan keterwakilan dari setiap jenjang kelas, kemudian data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, linearitas, regresi linear sederhana, uji t, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil uji regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 yang artinya lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan nilai R2 sebesar 0,126. Ini mengindikasi bahwa metode Discovery Learning memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, meskipun kontribusi yang diberikan terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa tergolong pada kategori rendah. Metode Discovery Learning memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kepecayaan diri siswa kelas tinggi sekolah dasar, meski pengaruhnya hanya sebesar 12,6%. Berdasarkan keterbatasan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini membutuhkan studi lebih mendalam dengan desain eksperimen atau penambahan variabel moderator guna mengoptimalkan efektivitas metode.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan gamification dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap pecahan, sebagai salah satu sarana peningkatan pemahaman pecahan bagi siswa kelas V di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis dokumen yang relevan dengan kurikulum dan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil penerapan gamifikasi dalam pembelajaran matematika pada subbab pecahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan gamifikasi dalam pembelajaran matematika pada subbab pecahan berjalan dengan baik dan kondusif dengan memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman siswa terhadap pecahan. Guru memanfaatkan penggunaan media pembelajaran pizza pecahan yang mendukung visualisasi pecahan. Penerapan gamification pada pecahan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan semangat dan pemahaman dalam pembelajaran pecahan, siswa lebih antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran pecahan. Mereka aktif menjawab pertanyaan, bekerja dalam kelompok dan termotivasi untuk mendapatkan poin. Selain itu pendekatan ini juga dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan kerjasama dalam keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut, maka disarankan agar gamification diterapkan pada mata pelajaran lain agar siswa lebih bersemangat dan lebih memahami materi yang diajarkan secara visual serta tetap sesuai dengan kurikulum.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of animated video media in understanding waste management in science and science subjects to improve elementary school students' learning outcomes. The type of research used was Quasi Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, namely research conducted in two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. This research was conducted in class V of Daarul Quran International Elementary School, Tangerang city. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. Data validation through content validity, instrument testing, reliability testing. Data analysis uses inferential statistical techniques through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and T tests. Based on the research results, the average learning outcomes test score before being given treatment (pretest) in the experimental class is 45.38, while the average learning outcomes test score afterwards. given treatment (posttest) was 81.54. And the results of the hypothesis test show a sig (2-tailed) result of 0.49 where 0.49 > 0.05 means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a difference in the use of animated video media in understanding waste management material in science and science subjects in class V of Daarul Quran International Elementary School, Tangerang city between before being given treatment (pretest) and after being given treatment (posttest). So, there is an influence of animated video media in understanding waste management material in the science and sciences subject to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students at Daarul Quran International Elementary School, Tangerang city for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of archery extracurriculars on internalizing independent character values ​​in Daarul Quran International Elementary School students. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of extracurricular teachers, coaches and students who took part in archery extracurricular activities at the school. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data validation was carried out through triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the research show that the archery extracurricular at Daarul Quran International Elementary School has a positive impact on internalizing students' independent character. Students who take part in this activity show an increase in independence, discipline, decision-making ability, and sports ethics. Therefore, it is recommended that schools continue to support and develop extracurricular activities such as archery as part of efforts to build student character.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the process of internalization of students' independent character in science literacy learning. The approach used is qualitative research with a case study method. The subjects of the study consisted of grade VI students at SDIT Yasir Tangerang. Data collection was carried out through direct observation in class, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis such as learning notes and student assignment results. Data validity uses source and method triangulation techniques. Data analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that internalization of independence in science literacy learning at SDIT Yasir has a positive impact on students' academic and character development. Students involved in exploratory learning methods show increased self-confidence, courage in expressing opinions, and initiative to find additional learning resources. However, there are still challenges in implementing independence, especially for students who are more dependent on teacher direction. The suggestion is that a differentiation approach in learning needs to be applied to adjust to students' needs.

Abstract

The present study aims to explore trouble sources and students’ repair strategies in maintaining communication dynamics and understanding. Using a descriptive qualitative method within the framework of conversation analysis, the researcher tries to describe, explain, and interpret the data collection. The data were in the form of words, phrases, or sentences populated from genuine conversations in discussion sessions of online doctoral student class interaction at one of the state universities in Central Java. Six doctoral students in a class of language education science participated in this study. The data sources were derived from voice recordings of class interactions during discussion sessions. The data were populated through four stages of recording, viewing, transcribing, and analyzing (RVIA). The study findings demonstrate that the repair strategies involved pauses, fillers, hedges, replacement, code mixing, repetition, and expansion. Meanwhile, the trouble sources were identified as a lack of knowledge and language errors (syntax and lexical aspects). By understanding the concept of repair strategies, students had the opportunity to modify, organize, and maintain communication dynamics and understanding. Meanwhile, teachers could use the knowledge to manage the class and assist students to be more proficient in delivering their ideas efficiently and accurately.
