Abstract

This study uses the theory of program effectiveness with indicators namely program socialization, program target accuracy, program monitoring, and goal achievement. The results of this study indicate the effectiveness of the joint business group productive business program through Kube Lestari Budaya as an effort to empower the community in general has been running well and effectively. This is determined on the indicator of the accuracy of program targets. The targets of the program are met, namely the poor who are registered in DTKS. To ensure that the proposed recipients are in accordance with the provisions, the Yogyakarta Special Region Social Service rechecks the data in the Integrated Social Welfare Data System using the NIK (Population Identification Number) that has been included in the proposal. The difference between the pre- and post-programs implemented on both kube provides empowerment that contributes to building motivation to increase production according to the business being run.

Abstract

This paper explores strategies for community empowerment within the tourist destination program in Banyurejo Village, Sleman Regency, specifically focusing on Si Cangkring Valley Tourism Village as a form of community empowerment. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research utilizes analysis to formulate and evaluate strategies aimed at leveraging strengths and opportunities, while mitigating weaknesses to address emerging threats. The second phase employs the Litmus Test tool to prioritize strategic issues, assessing each issue through 13 specific questions to guide strategy formulation and evaluation. The findings highlight strengths and weaknesses from the internal environment, alongside opportunities and threats from the external environment identified in the strategic environmental analysis. This process identifies four key issues, leading to a strategic evaluation that prioritizes budget utilization and the strength of supporting information media to enhance community engagement in tourist villages, maximizing strategic value. Subsequently, these issues are formulated into a cohesive strategic program.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to transfer knowledge of organic waste, through two aspects, namely the social aspect of society regarding awareness in processing waste and there is a production aspect through organic waste processing techniques. This activity is motivated by the problem of partners with the condition of household waste disposal, especially organic waste, then partners do not have the knowledge and skills, and the lack of adequate equipment for waste processing. The method is in the form of training through socialization of the importance of the potential of organic waste to become compost by providing knowledge through material through the display of images and training methods by providing organic waste processing techniques. The results of this community service activity were improved knowledge and skills in organic waste processing using biopore pipe technology. The conclusion of this community service activity was that the application of biopore pipe technology had a positive impact on increasing the capacity of partner groups in managing organic waste, including reducing the waste burden in their respective communities. Training using community-based methods can be an effective strategy for training in the application of biopore pipe technology.
