Abstract

Online learning has weaknesses when internet services are weak, and lecturer instructions are poorly understood by students. Online learning is currently still constrained by an inadequate internet connection. Delays that are too large and connections that are not smooth or unstable on the internet network for online learning can be a problem, namely the occurrence of errors in receiving information. For this reason, there needs to be an increase in the performance of the communication system that is able to support online learning so that teaching and learning activities can take place properly. 5G technology has the potential to support this because of the several advantages it offers, including supporting speeds up to 10 times the current technology (4G). The research method used in this study uses a literature review. Literature review is research conducted by reviewing several literatures that are in accordance with the title of the research being discussed. Literature study is intended to summarize, analyze and interpret concepts and theories that are in accordance with the research conducted.

Abstract

The community service conducted by the team of lecturers from Universitas Negeri Makassar was held at the Electronics Workshop, Department of Educational Electronics, with 15 beginner students registered as participants. The problems identified by the research team, in collaboration with the participants during the socialization, were as follows: (1) The lack of understanding among beginner participants regarding the practice of Arduino-based microcontroller with Wokwi, (2) New students, as beginners, found it difficult to practice with Arduino-based microcontrollers using Wokwi, (3) Beginner participants in the microcontroller practice needed guidance and mentoring from competent individuals to effectively simulate the Arduino-based microcontroller with Wokwi.To address the problems faced by the partners, the solutions offered through this Community Service Program (PKM) were as follows: (1) Providing training to stimulate the potential and interest of the participants, (2) Offering training that integrates knowledge (mathematics, science, and technology) with hardware and software for beginner participants, inviting competent speakers in the field of Arduino-based microcontroller using Wokwi, (3) Conducting training and mentoring to help participants demonstrate Arduino-based microcontroller practice with Wokwi, led by a competent instructor.The method of implementing this activity involved training for beginner students, specifically new students. After being trained, they were mentored to apply the knowledge gained in order to enhance their professionalism in using the Wokwi application. The training was carried out in two main stages: (1) Preparation phase, and (2) Implementation phase of the training. Overall, the results of the Arduino-based microcontroller practice training in the Electronics Workshop of the Educational Electronics Department can be concluded as satisfactory and successful in accordance with the planned objectives. This is reflected in various indicators, including the alignment between planning and implementation, the attendance rate of participants in each session, and the results of the participants' feedback surveys. All the materials planned in the training proposal were successfully delivered as intended. The attendance of the training participants in each session reached 100% of the total 15 registered participants. The activity was also successful in improving the participants' knowledge, skills, and motivation to become more proficient in using the Wokwi application. Abstrak Pengabdian oleh tim dosen Universitas Negeri Makassar ini dilaksanakan di Bengkel Elektronika, Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika, dengan melibatkan mitra kelompok mahasiswa pemula sebanyak 15 mahasiswa yang terdaftar. Identifikasi masalah yang berhasil dilakukan oleh tim peneliti bersama para peserta sosialisasi adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Kurangnya pemahaman peserta pemula dalam melakukan praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi, (2) Mahasiswa baru yang terlibat dalam praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi merasa kesulitan dalam melaksanakan praktik tersebut, (3) Peserta pemula dalam praktik mikrokontroler membutuhkan pendampingan serta pembinaan dari pihak yang kompeten untuk melakukan simulasi praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi.Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, solusi yang ditawarkan melalui program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah: (1) Memberikan pelatihan untuk membangkitkan potensi dan minat yang dimiliki peserta, (2) Memberikan pelatihan yang mengkolaborasikan ilmu pengetahuan (matematika, sains, dan teknologi) yang telah diperoleh dengan perangkat keras (hardware) dan perangkat lunak (software) kepada peserta pemula, dengan mengundang pemateri yang kompeten di bidang mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi, (3) Melakukan pelatihan dan pembinaan kepada peserta pemula dalam mendemonstrasikan praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi oleh pemateri yang kompeten. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan kepada peserta pemula di kalangan mahasiswa baru. Setelah diberikan pelatihan, peserta dibimbing untuk menerapkan hasil pelatihan tersebut dalam rangka meningkatkan profesionalisme mereka dalam menggunakan aplikasi Wokwi. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan melalui dua tahapan utama: (1) tahap persiapan, dan (2) tahap pelaksanaan pelatihan. Secara umum, hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan praktik mikrokontroler berbasis Arduino di Bengkel Elektronika Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika ini dapat disimpulkan dengan memuaskan dan berhasil sesuai dengan rencana yang telah ditetapkan. Hal ini tercermin dari berbagai indikator, termasuk kesesuaian antara perencanaan dan pelaksanaan, tingkat kehadiran peserta dalam setiap pertemuan, serta hasil pengisian angket oleh peserta. Semua materi yang telah direncanakan dalam proposal pelatihan dapat disampaikan dengan baik sesuai rencana. Kehadiran peserta pelatihan pada setiap pertemuan mencapai 100% dari total 15 peserta yang terdaftar. Kegiatan ini juga berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi peserta untuk menjadi lebih terampil dalam menggunakan aplikasi Wokwi.

Abstract

This training program aims to improve the competence of vocational high school (SMK) teachers in Polman District, West Sulawesi Province, in using educational aids as a learning medium in the era of industry 4.0, in order to enhance the learning outcomes of students in SMK Negeri Sulawesi Barat. The activity is conducted in the form of training on the use of educational aids as a learning medium for SMK teachers. The participants of this training program consist of 30 teachers from SMK Negeri Paku Polewali Mandar Sulawei Barat. Based on the results obtained, this community service activity has been successfully implemented in accordance with the expectations of the service team and participants. The percentage of achievement of the community service activity over 2 days is 93.25%.

Abstract

The development of means of transport is now increasing rapidly, making it easier and more efficient for people. Transport is not only a means of moving places, but also contributes to economic, social and quality of life activities. This research uses the agile method for the development of the Drift Rent car rental application. The agile method is an approach that focuses on incremental and iterative system development, prioritising teamwork between developers and customers and the ability to adapt to changes during the development process. The development of the Drift Rent app began with the analysis phase, where the car rental app was identified as a user and business need. This analysis included data collection through surveys and interviews with potential users, as well as a review of similar applications. The results of the analysis showed that users needed an application that facilitated login, registration, booking a car, and viewing order history. Based on the development of this project, it can be concluded that the car rental app successfully combines the required features with a user-friendly interface. All business objectives and user needs have been considered in the development process, from analysis to testing. Through this application, users can easily login, book a car, and view their order history.

Abstract

In today's digital era, school financial management faces challenges in transparency, efficiency, and reporting accuracy. This study aims to design a web-based Financial Information System (FIS) to support financial management at SMA Al-Kadar. The system was developed using the waterfall method, which includes stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and black box testing. This system assists the school, parents, and students in managing payments, reporting, and other financial transactions more transparently and efficiently. The research results show that the implementation of the web-based FIS can improve transparency, minimize administrative errors, and support data-driven decision-making. Therefore, this financial information system is expected to optimally support the school's financial performance.

Abstract

Keamanan data menjadi masalah penting dalam era digital, terutama untuk data teks yang bersifat sensitif dan rentan terhadap akses yang tidak sah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang aplikasi keamanan data berbasis teks menggunakan algoritma RSA untuk melindungi data teks dari ancaman kebocoran informasi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi enkripsi dan dekripsi menggunakan algoritma RSA, di mana teks diubah menjadi ciphertext yang hanya dapat dibaca oleh pihak yang memiliki kunci privat. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma RSA efektif dalam mengenkripsi data teks dengan tingkat keamanan yang tinggi, meskipun ada tantangan dalam kecepatan enkripsi untuk data berukuran besar. Sistem yang dikembangkan berhasil menjaga kerahasiaan informasi dengan mengandalkan enkripsi asimetris yang lebih aman dibandingkan dengan algoritma simetris. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa RSA adalah metode yang sangat efektif untuk pengamanan data teks, meskipun perlu adanya pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dalam mengatasi kelemahan terkait kecepatan enkripsi.
