Abstract

This study aims to determine the legal use of the FaceApp application in terms of the Qur'an, sunnah, and opinions of the scholars, as well as its relation to the problem of changing God's creation. This study uses descriptive-qualitative with content analysis and library research technique. The results showed that: first, FaceApp is an application that can change face photos using technology in the form of neural networks that automatically produce very realistic facial transformations in photographs. The opinions of the scholars in the matter of changing God's creation are: 1) neutering humans and animals ; 2) changing physical form; 3) make a tattoo on the body; 4) change the religion of God. Second, the legal use of the FaceApp application in an Islamic perspective by the scholars was divided into two: some scholars banned the use of the FaceApp application and others allowed it. Nevertheless, the majority of the scholars chose to forbid it, based on the evidence in the Qur'an and related hadith and the number of violations and harms posed by this application.

Abstract

This community service focuses on the application of wearable technology in the form of Mosque Watches and Portable Al-Qur'an Watches, which are designed to support Muslim worship practices by increasing accessibility to information on prayer times and the text of the Al-Qur'an. This activity involved structured training attended by 25 participants, including mosque administrators and congregation, to ensure understanding and ability to utilize this device optimally. The results of the training showed a high level of participant satisfaction with aspects such as usefulness, quality, suitability for needs and ease of use of watches. Despite challenges such as limited digital literacy, the evaluation showed significant improvements in participants' ability to integrate this technology into their daily lives. The success of this program indicates that the integration of technology in religious practice has great potential to provide real benefits for society, and can be an inspiration for further developments in religious technology in various communities.

Abstract

Dalam era digital, media pembelajaran berbasis Android menawarkan solusi efektif untuk mendukung proses belajar mandiri mahasiswa. Artikel ini membahas pengembangan media belajar Microsoft Excel berbasis Android menggunakan App Inventor, yang dirancang khusus untuk mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif di Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). Aplikasi ini dikembangkan tanpa memerlukan keterampilan pemrograman yang kompleks, namun tetap menyediakan fitur interaktif seperti modul pembelajaran, latihan soal, kuis, dan fitur progres belajar. Fitur-fitur ini membantu mahasiswa memahami fungsi-fungsi dasar Excel yang relevan dalam bidang otomotif, seperti perhitungan teknik dan analisis data. Dengan aplikasi ini, diharapkan mahasiswa dapat belajar secara lebih mandiri, efektif, dan fleksibel dalam menguasai keterampilan penggunaan Excel yang penting di bidang mereka.

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar memiliki peran yang krusial dalam membentuk kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa, yang menjadi fondasi bagi pembelajaran pada jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi dan numerasi di kalangan siswa masih membutuhkan perhatian serius. Program Kampus Mengajar, sebagai bagian dari inisiatif Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), hadir untuk menjawab tantangan ini dengan melibatkan mahasiswa dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah-sekolah dasar dan menengah di Indonesia. Program Kampus Mengajar 6 ini berfokus pada peningkatan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa di SMPN 1 Turikale dan SD Inpres 5/81 Passippo. Kegiatan dilaksanakan mulai bulan Juli- Desember 2023 dengan target peserta seluruh siswa kelas 1-6 di Inpres 5/81 Passippo dan khusus kelas 8 pada tingkat SMP. Pelaksanaan program ini dilakukan melalui 5 tahapan yaitu Orientasi dan perkenalan mahasiswa dengan Dosen Pembimbing Lapngan (DPL), penjabaran kegiatan KM6, Koordinasi dengan Dinas Kabupaten dan Kepala Sekolah, Pemaparan Program Kerja dan Monitoring serta Evaluasi. Kegiatan kampus mengajar membuktikan pentingnya interaksi langsung antara DPL dan mahasiswa. Hal ini memungkinkan terjadinya pertukaran ide, klarifikasi konsep, dan pembahasan materi yang lebih mendalam. Penggunaan fasilitas dan teknologi terkini memberikan kontribusi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Penggunaan multimedia, ruang kelas interaktif, dan sumber daya daring dapat memperkaya pengalaman belajar siswa

Abstract

The community service conducted by the team of lecturers from Universitas Negeri Makassar was held at the Electronics Workshop, Department of Educational Electronics, with 15 beginner students registered as participants. The problems identified by the research team, in collaboration with the participants during the socialization, were as follows: (1) The lack of understanding among beginner participants regarding the practice of Arduino-based microcontroller with Wokwi, (2) New students, as beginners, found it difficult to practice with Arduino-based microcontrollers using Wokwi, (3) Beginner participants in the microcontroller practice needed guidance and mentoring from competent individuals to effectively simulate the Arduino-based microcontroller with Wokwi.To address the problems faced by the partners, the solutions offered through this Community Service Program (PKM) were as follows: (1) Providing training to stimulate the potential and interest of the participants, (2) Offering training that integrates knowledge (mathematics, science, and technology) with hardware and software for beginner participants, inviting competent speakers in the field of Arduino-based microcontroller using Wokwi, (3) Conducting training and mentoring to help participants demonstrate Arduino-based microcontroller practice with Wokwi, led by a competent instructor.The method of implementing this activity involved training for beginner students, specifically new students. After being trained, they were mentored to apply the knowledge gained in order to enhance their professionalism in using the Wokwi application. The training was carried out in two main stages: (1) Preparation phase, and (2) Implementation phase of the training. Overall, the results of the Arduino-based microcontroller practice training in the Electronics Workshop of the Educational Electronics Department can be concluded as satisfactory and successful in accordance with the planned objectives. This is reflected in various indicators, including the alignment between planning and implementation, the attendance rate of participants in each session, and the results of the participants' feedback surveys. All the materials planned in the training proposal were successfully delivered as intended. The attendance of the training participants in each session reached 100% of the total 15 registered participants. The activity was also successful in improving the participants' knowledge, skills, and motivation to become more proficient in using the Wokwi application. Abstrak Pengabdian oleh tim dosen Universitas Negeri Makassar ini dilaksanakan di Bengkel Elektronika, Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika, dengan melibatkan mitra kelompok mahasiswa pemula sebanyak 15 mahasiswa yang terdaftar. Identifikasi masalah yang berhasil dilakukan oleh tim peneliti bersama para peserta sosialisasi adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Kurangnya pemahaman peserta pemula dalam melakukan praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi, (2) Mahasiswa baru yang terlibat dalam praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi merasa kesulitan dalam melaksanakan praktik tersebut, (3) Peserta pemula dalam praktik mikrokontroler membutuhkan pendampingan serta pembinaan dari pihak yang kompeten untuk melakukan simulasi praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi.Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, solusi yang ditawarkan melalui program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah: (1) Memberikan pelatihan untuk membangkitkan potensi dan minat yang dimiliki peserta, (2) Memberikan pelatihan yang mengkolaborasikan ilmu pengetahuan (matematika, sains, dan teknologi) yang telah diperoleh dengan perangkat keras (hardware) dan perangkat lunak (software) kepada peserta pemula, dengan mengundang pemateri yang kompeten di bidang mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi, (3) Melakukan pelatihan dan pembinaan kepada peserta pemula dalam mendemonstrasikan praktik mikrokontroler Arduino berbasis Wokwi oleh pemateri yang kompeten. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan kepada peserta pemula di kalangan mahasiswa baru. Setelah diberikan pelatihan, peserta dibimbing untuk menerapkan hasil pelatihan tersebut dalam rangka meningkatkan profesionalisme mereka dalam menggunakan aplikasi Wokwi. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan melalui dua tahapan utama: (1) tahap persiapan, dan (2) tahap pelaksanaan pelatihan. Secara umum, hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan praktik mikrokontroler berbasis Arduino di Bengkel Elektronika Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika ini dapat disimpulkan dengan memuaskan dan berhasil sesuai dengan rencana yang telah ditetapkan. Hal ini tercermin dari berbagai indikator, termasuk kesesuaian antara perencanaan dan pelaksanaan, tingkat kehadiran peserta dalam setiap pertemuan, serta hasil pengisian angket oleh peserta. Semua materi yang telah direncanakan dalam proposal pelatihan dapat disampaikan dengan baik sesuai rencana. Kehadiran peserta pelatihan pada setiap pertemuan mencapai 100% dari total 15 peserta yang terdaftar. Kegiatan ini juga berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi peserta untuk menjadi lebih terampil dalam menggunakan aplikasi Wokwi.

Abstract

In the modern technological era, the Internet of Things (IoT) plays a significant role in developing robotic control systems, including robotic arms. This study explores the implementation of an ESP32-based webhost to control and monitor robotic arm operations in real time via a web interface connected to a Wi-Fi network. The system is designed to provide ease of access, reliable performance, and low latency, making it suitable for education, technical training, and other applications. Testing revealed that the system delivers fast response times, high stability under moderate loads, and an intuitive interface for users with varying skill levels. These findings present opportunities for further development, including integration with cloud-based technologies and data security enhancements

Abstract

The development of digital technology demands mastery of 21st century skills, particularly the 4Cs (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication). However, conventional microcontroller learning is often limited to technical aspects without training these skills. This research aims to develop a microcontroller simulator based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things) as an interactive media to improve 4C skills in digital technology learning. The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The simulator is designed with machine learning integration for learning difficulty adaptation and IoT for cloud-based project simulation. Validation was conducted through expert tests (pedagogy, AI, and embedded systems experts) and field trials on engineering students with questionnaire instruments, observations, and 4C skills tests. The results of the developed Simulator are proven to improve the understanding of microcontroller concepts while training 4C skills, with the following results: 1) Critical Thinking: Participants were able to analyse problems 25% faster through AI-based case simulation. 2) Creativity: There was a 30% increase in the variety of IoT project solutions generated. and 3) Collaboration & Communication: Teamwork effectiveness improved based on the collaboration rubric assessment. The implications of this research can be applied in technical education curriculum, vocational training, or STEM/STEAM development.

Abstract

This study developed an object detection system based on 8 proximity sensors implemented in a line follower robot using a switching algorithm. The system is controlled by an Arduino Nano microcontroller and displays detection results on a 16x2 LCD. The switching method is employed to read the sensors alternately, thereby reducing channel interference and lowering power consumption without compromising reading speed. Each sensor is calibrated with a predefined threshold to convert analog readings into digital signals, which are then visualized as icons or underscore symbols on the display. This research follows an experimental approach involving hardware design, microcontroller programming, and direct testing on a robotic track. The system was tested in five different track position scenarios. The results show that the system consistently and responsively detects objects. The switching method proved effective in improving reading efficiency and enhancing the robot’s navigation stability for accurate line following..

Abstract

Era perubahan teknologi telah merambah pada era revolusi industri 4.0, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan sebagai lembaga pendidikan harus melakukan peningkatan ilmu pengetahuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing lulusan di era revolusi industri 4.0.Internet of Things (IoT) adalah kajian ilmu yang sangat penting dalam era revolusi industri 4.0 sehingga diangkatlah kajian penelitian yang yang bertujuan mengembangan media trainer untuk mendukung sebuah pembelajarandi Sekolah Menengah Kujuruan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilah trainer internet of things yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Metode pendelitian adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan desain pengembangan mengacu pada model PIE dengan tiga tahapan yaitu (1) Persiapan, (2) Pelaksanaan, (3) Evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapakan dapat menghasilkan media trainer IoT yang valid/layak untuk digunakan serta praktis dan efisien dalam penggunaanya. Kata Kunci: IoT, Media, Trainer, Teknologi

Abstract

Pelatihan robot transporter ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dan pemahaman siswa SMK dalam bidang otomasi dan embedded systems, sekaligus mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi tantangan Revolusi Industri 4.0. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama tiga hari berturut-turut di SMKN 10 Makassar dengan pendekatan project-based learning yang meliputi penyampaian materi teori dasar, workshop perakitan dan pemrograman robot berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32, serta kompetisi antar kelompok untuk menyelesaikan misi pengangkutan objek secara otomatis. Seluruh kelompok berhasil merakit dan mengendalikan robot menggunakan aplikasi mobile yang dikembangkan dengan block programming berbasis Kodular. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan teknis, kreativitas, dan kerja sama tim siswa. Selain itu, pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif berupa meningkatnya motivasi belajar dan kemampuan problem solving yang aplikatif dalam konteks dunia industri. Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan mahasiswa MBKM dan komunitas Robotron UNM, yang turut menciptakan ekosistem pembelajaran kolaboratif dan suportif. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam penguatan pendidikan vokasi yang relevan, inovatif, dan mampu menjawab kebutuhan pengembangan sumber daya manusia di era digital.
