Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to determine the increase in student activity. (2) Knowing the learning outcomes of Biology Science students through the application of jigsaw type cooperative learning to increase the activities and learning outcomes of Biology Science for UPT SPF students at SMP Negeri 38 Makassar Kodingareng Island, especially class VIII B, totaling 30 people. The data collection technique in this research is in the form of tests at the end of each cycle and student activities or activeness as well as analysis of test results. The research results showed that in the first cycle, student attendance was 69.99%, student learning activity reached 50.47% with high criteria, the average student learning outcome was 67.4, with classical learning completeness 56.67%. Meanwhile in cycle II attendance was 81.67%, student learning activity reached 77.62% with very high criteria, average student learning outcomes were 81.66%, with classical learning completeness at 100%. This shows an increase in both activities and student learning outcomes from cycle I and cycle II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Peer Teaching Pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Makassar.Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Makassar. pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini terdiri atas dua siklus dan data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktivitas siswa pada siklus I dengan rata-rata adalah 33,3% dan pada siklus II adalah 90%, berarti adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa.Dan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yaitu 9 siswa atau 30% pada kategori sedang meningkat pada siklus II yaitu 17 siswa atau 56,6% pada kategori tinggi. Dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yaitu 66,3 meningkat menjadi 81,6 padasiklus II dan peningkatan presentase ketuntasan siswa dari 33,3% menjadi 90%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Pembelajaran Peer Teaching dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Makassar.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the effectiveness of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model assisted by interactive games on the mastery of basic science concepts among prospective elementary school teacher students. This research uses quantitative methods with a non-equivalent control group-type experimental design. The research sample was student prospective elementary school teachers at Mataram University who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are carried out through objective tests in the form of and post-tests. The research results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group with an average pre-test score of 62.5 increasing to 84.17 in the post-tests. Meanwhile in the control group, the average pre-test score of 63.17 only increased to 68.5. This data proves that the RADEC model assisted by interactive games is more effective in improving mastery of basic science concepts compared to conventional learning methods. The RADEC model has also been proven to increase student engagement, motivation, and critical and creative thinking abilities in line with the demands of 21st-century skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an applicative-integrative E-Module (Electronic Module) based on differentiated learning as a form of support for the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Senior High Schools. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting the 4D development model developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. This model consists of four main stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Thus, it can be concluded that the RPP for the Virus material is included in the "valid" category and is ready to be implemented. Based on the practicality criteria that have been set, it can be concluded that the Biology E-Module for Virus Material from the aspect of teacher response is called "Practical". The percentage of students with a minimum level of competency mastery in the competent category is 92%. So according to the success criteria, namely a minimum of 90% of students in the minimally competent category, the mastery of student competencies has met the classical standards.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan e-modul aplikatif integratif berbasis pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi virus di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri atas empat tahapan, yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate (Thiagarajan, dkk, 1974). Dalam penelitian ini, hanya dilakukan tahap pertama, yaitu Pendefinisian (Define), untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan masalah yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran Biologi, khususnya topik virus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei terhadap 25 siswa dan wawancara dengan 5 Guru Biologi di SMA Negeri 17 Makassar. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kuesioner, wawancara, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analsis data kuntitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 97% siswa memiliki akses ke perangkat digital dan internet yang stabil, namun 64% siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep-konsep abstrak biologi hanya melalui buku cetak. Selain itu, 48% siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengaitkan konsep virus dengan aplikasi dunia nyata, sehingga menunjukkan perlunya alat pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan integratif. Analisis ini menjadi dasar dalam Mengembangkan e-modul yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa yang beragam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan guru terhadap fitur-fitur yang diinginkan dalam pengembangan Bio-LAD AI, sebuah dashboard cerdas untuk memantau e-modul aplikatif-integratif materi Virus di SMA. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang disebarkan kepada 10 guru biologi dari SMA Negeri 17 Makassar dan SMA Negeri 1 Gowa, serta wawancara dengan satu guru perwakilan dari masing-masing sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru membutuhkan fitur seperti pemantauan progres siswa, feedback otomatis, notifikasi untuk intervensi, visualisasi progres, dan itur ekspor data untuk pelaporan dan analisis lebih lanjut. Fitur-fitur ini akan memungkinkan guru untuk memantau pembelajaran secara real-time, memberikan dukungan yang lebih personal, serta mempermudah pengelolaan data dan pelaporan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan Bio-LAD AI untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan mendukung pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ characteristics and needs in understanding Cell Biology as a basis for developing an IN-VE (Inquiry and Virtual Experiment)-based e-module. The study employed a descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach involving 25 eleventh-grade senior high school students and three biology teachers as subjects. Data were collected through a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire consisting of five dimensions—learning difficulties, motivation and interest, metacognition, learning independence, and expectations of e-module features—as well as teacher interviews. The results indicate that students’ characteristics are marked by high learning difficulties in Cell Biology (M = 3.05) and very high motivation toward the use of digital media (M = 3.53). However, their metacognitive ability (M = 2.45) and learning independence (M = 2.73) remain at a moderate level. Students’ needs point toward interactive digital learning media with very high expectations (M = 3.48), particularly regarding features such as virtual experiment simulations, inquiry-based triggering questions, self-reflection activities, automated practice questions, and multi-device access. Teacher interviews confirm that Cell Biology is a difficult topic for students and requires innovative, interactive, and flexible digital learning media. Therefore, the findings emphasize that the development of an IN-VE-based e-module is highly relevant and urgent as a solution for Cell Biology learning, not only to support conceptual understanding but also to enhance students’ metacognition and learning independence.
