Abstract

The role of teachers in preparing appropriate strategies in facing the society 5.0 era is very large. One of them is preparing learning strategies as a bridge that will be used in the learning process. Learning strategies do not only include learning methods or media but the learning model used is the key to the success of the ongoing learning process. The era of society 5.0 demands technological collaboration requiring interactive learning models in the process. The interactive learning model utilizes technology in its application, namely using audio-visual elements which enable the involvement of student responses in the learning process. The stages of socialization activities for this interactive learning model for prospective elementary school teachers are: a) initial stage, b) preparation stage, c) implementation stage and d) evaluation stage. Based on the recapitulation results of the distribution of pre- and post-activity questionnaires, it shows that there is an increase in the knowledge and skills possessed by activity participants regarding interactive learning models that can be applied in the classroom. Most participants expressed interest in interactive learning models that use games in their implementation.

Abstract

Training on the use of PhET Simulation for prospective elementary school teachers in 2024 aims to improve technical and pedagogical skills in teaching science. This training involved a series of planning, introductory, workshop, and evaluation sessions, with a focus on the use of interactive simulations as a learning aid. Evaluation results showed significant improvements in participants' understanding and confidence. Participants also showed greater creativity in designing interactive and interesting learning plans. Despite technical challenges and the need for additional support, it is hoped that this training will improve the quality of science education in Indonesia, motivating students to become more interested and achieve in the field of science. Ongoing support and technological infrastructure improvements are needed to ensure the positive impact of this training continues.

Abstract

KB Toddopuli memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang memadai untuk melakukan pembelajaran berbasis digital seperti laptop, LCD proyektor, wifi, soundsystem namun pembelajaran berbasis digital belum optimal diterapkan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru-guru di KB Toddopuli mengaplikasikan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality sebagai media pembelajaran literasi. Metode pengabdian dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan secara umum berupa perencanaan/ persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan. Adapun mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru KB Toddopuli yang terdiri dari 3 orang guru serta murid sebanyak 20 orang. Dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pra literasi anak usia dini berjalan dengan baik. Guru mampu memanfaatkan media pembelajaran augmented reality pada tema Alam semesta dengan subtema fenomena alam di langit dengan menampilkan gerhana matahari, gerhana bulan, bumi, bulan, pelangi dan bintang. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil evaluasi yang mengalami peningkatan signifikan dari aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan antusias serta motivasi murid saat mengikuti pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative teaching materials for the Basic Concepts of Science using QR Codes to enhance the critical thinking skills of prospective elementary school teachers. The study employs the 4D development model, which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The developed teaching materials are integrated with QR Codes, allowing prospective teachers to easily access additional learning resources, rich information, instructional videos, interactive multimedia, and even virtual simulations. The teaching materials are also designed to include learning activities that facilitate the development of critical thinking skills related to the basic concepts of science. The validity testing phase was conducted by five experts, and the validation results were analyzed using Aiken's V to determine the validity index of the developed materials. Based on the data analysis, the teaching materials were found to be valid and suitable for use. The innovative QR Code-assisted teaching materials for Basic Concepts of Elementary Science can effectively train the critical thinking skills of prospective elementary school teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the effectiveness of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model assisted by interactive games on the mastery of basic science concepts among prospective elementary school teacher students. This research uses quantitative methods with a non-equivalent control group-type experimental design. The research sample was student prospective elementary school teachers at Mataram University who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are carried out through objective tests in the form of and post-tests. The research results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group with an average pre-test score of 62.5 increasing to 84.17 in the post-tests. Meanwhile in the control group, the average pre-test score of 63.17 only increased to 68.5. This data proves that the RADEC model assisted by interactive games is more effective in improving mastery of basic science concepts compared to conventional learning methods. The RADEC model has also been proven to increase student engagement, motivation, and critical and creative thinking abilities in line with the demands of 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran berupa alat peraga merupakan komponen penting dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa, terutama di tingkat pendidikan dasar. Dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya konsep geometri sering kali sulit dipahami oleh siswa, sehingga diperlukan inovasi dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Geoboard, sebagai alat peraga manipulatif sederhana, dan telah terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep geometri melalui pengalaman secara langsung visual dan kinestetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru-guru di SDN Bonder Lombok Tengah dalam pembuatan dan penggunaan Geoboard sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini meliputi ceramah tentang media pembelajaran secara umum dan alat peraga geoboard ; praktik pembuatan Geoboard; dan simulasi penggunaannya dalam kelas dengan pendampingan tim pengabdian. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru mampu memahami dan mengaplikasikan penggunaan Geoboard dalam pembelajaran matematika, Pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan alat peraga, yang kedepannya dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to identify teachers' perceptions and needs for the development of ethnopedagogy-based teaching materials to improve literacy and numeracy. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques that involved distributing questionnaires to elementary school teachers from diverse cultural backgrounds. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to examine the tendency of respondents' answers regarding aspects of literacy and numeracy, as well as local cultural integration in the learning process. The results show that the majority of teachers are aware of the importance of literacy and numeracy and support the implementation of ethnopedagogy; however, they encounter obstacles in the availability of relevant teaching materials and limited professional development opportunities. These findings suggest a pressing need for the development of teaching materials that not only enhance literacy and numeracy skills but also foster students' cultural identities through contextual learning. This study is an initial contribution to the development of an ethnopedagogy-based teaching material model as a strategic solution in improving the quality of numeracy learning in elementary schools while supporting the preservation of local culture in education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji validitas modul ajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) berbasis kearifan lokal yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Define, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) yang dibatasi sampai tahap Development. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi yang mencakup aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, dan keterpaduan P5 dan IPAS. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga ahli, yaitu ahli materi IPA, ahli materi IPS, dan ahli bahasa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar memperoleh skor ketiga validator berturut-turut adalah 76, 77, dan 78 yang ketiganya berada pada kategori sangat valid. Aspek substansi materi dinilai sesuai dengan capaian pembelajaran IPAS, kegiatan pembelajaran disusun secara sistematis dan fleksibel, serta integrasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal dinilai relevan dan kontekstual. Dengan demikian, modul ajar IPAS ini dinyatakan valid dan dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar, khususnya untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang berbasis karakter dan kontekstual budaya.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun media pembelajaran berbasis game puzzle sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada Kamis, 30 Mei 2024 di SDN Bonder, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 15 orang yang terdiri dari 12 guru, 1 kepala sekolah, dan 2 perwakilan komite sekolah. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup pengenalan media pembelajaran, konsep media berbasis puzzle, praktik pembuatan, serta simulasi penggunaan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 75% peserta memahami materi yang diberikan dan mampu menerapkan pembuatan puzzle sebagai media pembelajaran. Respons peserta, termasuk guru dan kepala sekolah, menunjukkan antusiasme dan apresiasi terhadap kegiatan ini. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini dinilai berhasil dan memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Mengingat hasil yang positif ini, disarankan agar pelatihan serupa dapat diperluas ke sekolah-sekolah lain guna mendukung inovasi dalam pembelajaran di kelas serta mendorong penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif di berbagai lingkungan pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the responses of prospective elementary school teachers to training in developing Android-based educational games as an innovative learning tool. By distributing questionnaires to 121 prospective elementary school teachers in NTB, this research identified the needs, interests, motivations and challenges faced in participating in the training. The research results show that prospective elementary school teachers show a high interest in using educational games as a learning tool, but prospective elementary school teachers face challenges related to technical skills and integration in the curriculum. These findings provide important insights for training providers in designing programs that better suit the needs of prospective teachers, as well as highlighting the importance of continued support for the development of skills in using technology in education.
