Abstract

Desa Wisata merupakan salah satu objek wisata di Kota Batam yang mendukung tujuan Pembangunan berkelanjutan. Peningkatan jumlah pengunjung yang datang di Desa Wisata memberikan dampak yang cukup besar untuk mendukung ekonomi masyarakat yang tinggal di Desa Wisata. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk membantu pengelola Desa Wisata Kampung Tua Bakau Serip Mangrove Pandang Tak Jemu dalam meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung yang datang untuk melakukan wisata edukasi mangrove dengan pemanfaatan sosial media yang maksimal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan melakukan kegiatan observasi lapangan dan observasi media sosial lebih dulu untuk mengetahui Tingkat pemanfaatan sosial media pada Desa Wisata Bakau Serip. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara kooperatif, yaitu dosen, mahasiswa, serta mitra yang merupakan pengelola desa wisata. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dosen dan mahasiswa membantu pengelola desa wisata untuk merancang konten sosial media yang menarik sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat Batam tentang wisata edukasi mangrove di Kecamatan Nongsa, Kelurahan Sambau.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed people's habits worldwide, accelerating the adoption of cashless payment transactions, especially in Indonesia. This situation allows Financial Technology companies and Conventional Banks to increase competition. This thesis focuses on the Digital Payments Industry in Indonesia, emphasizing the Merchant Acceptance Business, which has a crucial role as a catalyst for Cashless Payments. This research is based on previous studies regarding service quality, business model canvas, and the importance of performance analysis of the BRI Merchant Application. This research aims to define a service quality strategy for BRI merchant applications through a critical performance analysis approach. The study found that the quality of BRI merchant application services consists of changing merchant data, adding EDC, Checking transactions, reconciling Payments, filing complaints, and monitoring complaints.

Abstract

With global economic growth and environmental changes occurring, there are challenges and opportunities for business growth. Increasing competitiveness is a requirement to maximize opportunities and be better prepared for business competition. The right strategy will make the company superior. In most cases, superior business strategies based on superior resources and capabilities are considered obsolete and irrelevant in the face of environmental changes. Companies must increase their competitiveness by building business models through Strategic Agility and Innovation Capability as well as Organizational Readiness. Data was collected from 240 Branch Heads of PT. Pegadaian throughout Indonesia. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out through structural equation modeling using Smart-PLS. A deeper understanding of the interactions and dynamics between the Strategic Agility, Innovation Capability and Organizational Readiness variables on PT Performance. The pawnshop, as well as policy implications, emphasize crucial aspects that organizations need to pay attention to in improving their performance. This research can be the basis for developing a more comprehensive theory about how Strategic Agility, Innovation Capability and Organizational Readiness are interrelated and influence PT Performance. Pawnshop. This can enrich our understanding of the internal dynamics of organizations in the face of innovation and change. This research can provide valuable guidance for organizational leaders in making strategic decisions regarding innovation development, change management, and performance improvement. As well as implementing changes necessary to improve organizational readiness and performance, this can help in directing organizational resources and strategies more effectively.

Abstract

Perkembangan desa wisata dari waktu ke waktu memang mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan. Perubahan minat wisata saat ini cenderung lebih mengarah pada wisata ekologis dibandingkan dengan wisata keramaian. Hal ini menjadi salah satu tantangan bagi sebuah Ekowisata untuk meningkatkan strategi pemasaran, terutama penggunaan sosial media agar para turis dapat mengenal desa wisata beserta produk yang ditawarkan. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini salah satunya adalah untuk memberikan kontribusi kepada desa wisata Kampung Tua Bakau Serip dalam hal pengelolaan media sosial dan konten-konten yang dapat dijadikan contoh untuk pengelolaan selanjutnya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama efektif selama 3 bulan yang melibatkan dosen, mahasiswa, serta pengelola desa wisata Kampung Tua Bakau Serip. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah mahasiswa dan dosen melakukan pembuatan Instagram dan men-design konten-konten yang menarik sebagai salah satu langkah awal dalam pengembangan digitalisasi desa wisata. Dengan adanya hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini akan memberikan semangat kepada pengelola desa wisata agar memperbaiki kualitas dari desa wisata dan melanjutkan pengembangan konten untuk sosial media agar menarik minat wisatawan tidak hanya di dalam negeri, tetapi juga dari luar negeri.

Abstract

The research aimed to explore factors that could help schools enhance their innovation which is challenging due to their  institution nature. Three variables were investigated as the antecedents of innovations: entrepreneurial orientation, knowledge management, and organizational change readiness. In education, entrepreneurial orientation was gauged  through five dimensions: innovativeness, proactiveness, risk-taking, autonomy, and competitive aggressiveness. The knowledge management process involved three dimensions: knowledge creation, knowledge sharing, and knowledge utilization. The relationship between knowledge management variables was formative, as no single dimension fully captured the entire process; each contributes uniquely. Organizational change readiness dimensions included changing commitment and change efficacy. Dependent variable innovation was assessed through technical, administrative, and managerial innovation. The empirical research was quantitative by design, and data were collected from 110 private secondary schools across Indonesia. The research model was tested using partial least squares – structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with the extended repeated indicator approach. The research finds that entrepreneurial orientation does not directly affect innovation, but it is fully mediated by organizational change readiness. Additionally, while knowledge management has a significant direct effect on innovation, organizational change readiness partially mediates the relationship. The research also highlights the importance of organizational change readiness, which has rarely been discussed in entrepreneurial orientation and knowledge management literature.

Abstract

Research aim: The purpose of this finding is to interpret the influence of employee comfort, leadership, time management, and employee involvement on employee performance. Method: This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey. Finding: These findings interpret that the work environment has a significant positive impact on employee engagement, but does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, leadership and time management have a significant positive impact on employee engagement and employee performance. Meanwhile, employee involvement itself provides a significant positive relationship to employee performance. Theoretical contribution/Originality: These findings provide a deep understanding of the importance of good and quality leadership in increasing employee engagement and performance in government and corporate environments. Practitioner/Policy implication: aspects that can have an impact on an employee's performance must always be considered and evaluated regularly so that employee productivity at work remains constant and even increases. Organizations and companies must also implement optimal human resource management to maintain employee loyalty and integrity. Research limitation: Research limitations only focus on the object of research, namely Civil Servants in the Riau Islands Provincial Government.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health professionals play an important role in improving workplace safety. However, the effectiveness of safety leadership, safety coaching and engagement in improving safety performance, mediated by safety culture, remains under-researched. This study aims to analyze how these factors influence safety performance among occupational safety and health professionals in Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. This study used a structural equation modelling (SEM) approach for hypothesis testing based on data collected from 180 active occupational safety and health professionals using purposive sampling. The results showed that all hypotheses were supported: safety leadership mediated the relationship between safety training and safety engagement with safety performance. This suggests that leadership is important in fostering a safety culture and encouraging proactive employee engagement. In addition, safety training was found to significantly influence leadership and safety performance. The results of this study conclude that strengthening leadership and engagement in safety through targeted coaching and training can significantly improve safety outcomes in high-risk industries. The findings underscore the importance of integrating safety leadership and culture into organizational practices. Future research should explore the long-term impact of safety leadership interventions and the potential for cross-industry application to further improve workplace safety standards.

Abstract

Toko roti merupakan industri manufaktur yang menjalankan bisnisnya dengan membuat dan menjual roti. Perkembangan toko roti yang sangat pesat menjadikan setiap industri harus meningkatkan daya saing serta kualitas yang unggul untuk dapat menghasilkan produk yang sesuai dengan keinginan pelanggan, salah satu faktornya terdapat pada kegiatan produksi, dimana proses produksi yang berlangsung baik maka akan berdampak baik pula bagi perusahaan. Sebagai salah satu makanan yang banyak diminati karena praktis dan enak, setiap toko roti pastinya harus konsisten dalam menjaga citra rasa pada produk yang dijual, sehingga dari penelitian ini berfokus kepada purchase intention. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan sampel dilakukan melalui metode sampling. Pengujian data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji PLS-SEM dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada warga kota batam yang sering mengkonsumsi roti. Sebanyak 450 responden ikut serta dalam mengisi kuesioner untuk menguji hipotesis dan pengaruh antar variabel dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa brand loyalty berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap brand loyalty yang dimediasi oleh citra merek. Oleh karena itu, setiap toko roti pastinya memiliki brand image seperti menciptakan suatu produk yang berinovasi dan dikembangkan agar dapat bersaing dengan toko roti lainnya.

Abstract

This study examines the role of employee engagement as a mediator in the relationship between workplace comfort, communication, and time management on employee performance within the Provincial Government of Riau Islands. Using primary data collected through accidental sampling, the research involved distributing questionnaires via Google Forms to civil servants who met predefined criteria. The findings indicate that while workplace comfort has a limited direct impact on productivity, effective communication and time management are key factors that significantly contribute to organizational performance. Employee engagement emerged as a strong mediator in these relationships, emphasizing its critical role in enhancing performance outcomes. Theoretical contributions highlight the significant influence of time management and employee engagement in improving employee performance. From a practical perspective, the study suggests that organizations should continuously evaluate these factors and implement policies that promote effective communication, optimal time management, and a comfortable working environment to sustain and improve employee productivity. However, the research is limited to civil servants within the Provincial Government of Riau Islands, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

The sector of banking plays a strategic role in driving the economy of the country. The growth of this sector can help the economy but also increases the intense competition in Indonesia. To improve performance, banking companies need to maintain good relationships with external parties. The role of branch offices, which interact directly with customers and stakeholders, is considered important to understand market conditions and customer needs. Branch offices have the responsibility to interact directly with customers to understand their needs, where the branch head holds a crucial role in executing this responsibility. This study explores the influence of transformational leadership possessed by the branch head on entrepreneurial orientation, social network, and performance at a branch office of a banking industry company. This study uses a quantitative method, where data collection was done through a survey. The unit of analysis is a branch office with a total of 49 branch heads. The results of the study show that transformational leadership has a significant influence on entrepreneurial orientation and social network. Most respondents, alumni of Management Trainee programs placed in various branch offices, thus having extensive knowledge about the company and high adaptability skills. The branch head, as middle management, plays a crucial role in creating a work environment that supports innovation and collaboration. It was found that the ability of branch offices to interact well internally and externally can increase the financial and customer performance of the branch office.
