Abstract

This community service activity was implemented with an educational and participatory approach through outreach activities, lectures, discussions, and intensive mentoring. This activity was aimed at participants in the meeting to establish the Merah Putih Village Cooperative, consisting of various elements of the community, Lembang officials, and several representatives from related sectors who have a direct or indirect relationship with village economic development through cooperatives. The material provided included an understanding of the basics of cooperatives, the benefits of the existence of cooperatives for village communities, as well as the stages or legal and administrative flows in the process of establishing a cooperative in accordance with applicable regulations in Indonesia. In addition, participants were also given insight into the principles of good cooperative governance, financial transparency, member meeting mechanisms, and the distribution of SHU (Surplus Operating Results) fairly and proportionally. The material was delivered through interactive lectures and open discussions that allowed for active participant participation to ask questions, provide suggestions, and express their experiences and hopes for the cooperative that will be formed. The activity continued with mentoring in the process of establishing the cooperative's organizational structure, including the election of administrators, the preparation of AD/ART, and understanding the duties and responsibilities of each element in the cooperative organization. The primary goal of this mentoring activity is to provide comprehensive understanding, increase community capacity to manage cooperatives independently and professionally, and encourage active community participation in productive economic activities through cooperatives. Thus, it is hoped that the Merah Putih Village Cooperative can become a sustainable driving force for the local economy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pengendalian Diri dan Gaya Hidup Terhadap Perilaku Konsumtif Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Kampus Rantepao Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena meningkatnya perilaku konsumtif di kalangan mahasiswa, yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan teknologi, tren gaya hidup, serta kemampuan individu dalam mengendalikan dorongan untuk berbelanja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel 228. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner, diproses dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan menggunakan SPSS. Tenkik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Sedangkan analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji instrumen, uji asumsi klasik, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil data penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Gaya Hidup berpengaruh positif terhadap Perilaku Konsumtif Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja dengan nilai koefisien uji t sebesar 0,167 dan tingkat signifikan sebesar 0,006 < 0,05. Pengendalian Diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Perilaku Konsumtif Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja dengan nilai koefisien uji t sebesar 0,279 dan tingkat signifikan sebesar 0,002 < 0,05.

Abstract

The Influence of Price and Service Quality on Purchase Decisions at Sejahtera Mart Rantepao, North Toraja Regency. The problems in this study are: Does the price affect purchasing decisions at Sejahtera Mart Rantepao. Does the quality of service affect purchasing decisions at Sejahtera Mart Rantepao.) Do prices and service quality affect purchasing decisions at Sejahtera Mart Rantepao. The population in this study are consumers who make purchases at Sejahtera Mart Rantepao. Sampling in this study is Nonprobability Sampling. The data analysis technique used is instrumenttest, classical assumption test, hypothesis testing. The results of the study The price has a significant effect on purchasing decisions because the value of t_count>t_table is 0.254>0.2006 and the resulting significance is 0.800 t_table or 0.677>0.2006 and the resulting significant is 0.500

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Local Wisdom-Based Tourism Development Strategy at the Ke'te' Kesu' Tourist Attraction, North Toraja Regency . The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. From the results of the study, it is known that : (1) The resources at the Ke'te' Kesu' Tourist Attraction are one of the livelihoods of family groups and communities living around the Ke'te' Kesu' Tourist Attraction. (2) Funding sources at the Ke'te' Kesu' Tourist Attraction are obtained from entrance fees without assistance from other social services . (3) The Information System at the Ke'te' Kesu' Object is one of the world-famous tourist destinations and is known by both foreign and local tourists. (4) Utilization of Facilities at the Ke'te' Kesu' Tourist Attraction has various facilities that can be used by tourists who come to visit. (5) Existing Values and Norms It is very necessary to uphold the customs that exist in a region, as well as the need to maintain ethics and also obey the values and norms that exist in a region. (6) How to Maintain Existing Local Wisdom It is necessary to maintain and preserve existing local wisdom so that it is maintained and protected from theft.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to strengthen the role of adolescent parents through education on parenting during puberty and family financial literacy in Lembang Tondon Langi’, Tondon District, North Toraja Regency. Through two training sessions led by Ibu Rio Rita Pakan and Ibu Westerini, the program focused on enhancing the knowledge and skills of parents in addressing the challenges of parenting adolescent children and managing household finances. The first session, which addressed parenting during puberty, provided parents with insights into the characteristics of adolescent development and effective communication strategies. The second session, which focused on family financial management, offered practical skills in budgeting, debt management, and saving for the future. The results of the program showed that parents in Lembang Tondon Langi’ felt more prepared and confident in applying a more open and adaptive approach to parenting, as well as becoming more prudent in managing household finances. The enhancement of skills in both areas is expected to create more harmonious families and greater financial stability. The sustainability of the program is recommended through the formation of ongoing discussion groups and the active involvement of community leaders. This program has contributed positively to family welfare and the empowerment of parents in rural areas

Abstract

The Thematic Community Service Program (KKN-T) by students of the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja in Tondon Langi Village, Tondon District, focuses on reforestation as an effort to preserve the environment while strengthening the community's economy. This initiative is driven by the presence of unused land and the community's road access, which is often blocked due to landslides, hindering their access to livelihood locations like gardens and rice fields. Additionally, there is a lack of awareness about the economic value of trees. The activities carried out include observation, socialization, and the planting of teak and mahogany trees, in collaboration with the local community, police, and TNI officers. These efforts aim to foster environmental awareness and highlight the long-term economic benefits of trees. The program not only promotes environmental conservation but also strengthens social bonds through collaboration and cooperation. By involving all stakeholders, this activity seeks to build a greener, more sustainable village, encouraging the community to see trees as a valuable investment for the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of financial recording systems among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating at the Ke'te Kesu tourist attraction in North Toraja. The study employed a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through interviews and direct observation of MSME business activities. The findings indicate that MSME owners have implemented financial recording practices; however, these records are generally prepared manually and in a simple manner. Most businesses have not yet established a structured financial recording system in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). One of the main challenges faced by MSME owners is the perception that preparing financial reports is difficult and unnecessary, leading them to rely on basic records of income and expenses. The study highlights the importance of improving financial literacy and encouraging the preparation of financial reports based on SAK EMKM. Proper financial recording can support better financial management, improve business decision-making, and contribute to the sustainable development of MSMEs at the Ke'te Kesu tourism destination.

Abstract

As technology develops more and more sophisticated, various kinds of social media can be found used by internet network users. Instagram social media, which is chosen as a medium for the promotion of a place and tourist attraction, states that Instagram is able to spread information quickly and about many goals. Based on initial observations, although the official account of D'' Tombi Highland Resort regularly uploads promotional content, the level of tourist visits still fluctuates, especially in the low season. This shows the need to evaluate and optimize the promotional content strategy that has been carried out. The type of research used in this study is quantitative descriptive research conducted by collecting, classifying, and analyzing the data obtained. From the results of the data analysis used to find out whether there is an influence on the promotion of Instagram videos (X) and the decision to visit tourists (Y). The results of this research stated that there was a significant influence of Instagram video promotion on tourist visit decisions. The results of statistical data processing show that the decision to visit tourists is significantly influenced by Instagram video promotion. Based on the t-test, the t-value data was 6,000 and the t-value of the table was 1,671. So it can be concluded that the promotion of Instagram videos (X) has an effect on the decision of tourist visits (Y). The variable of Instagram video promotion affecting the decision of tourist visits in D' Tombi, North Toraja Regency was proven to be partially significant, as shown by the t-count value of 6'000 which was higher than the t-table.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the potential for local community empowerment based on the implementation of programs carried out by the Tourism Office in supporting the development of the Buntu Burake tourist attraction in Tana Toraja Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving officials of the Tana Toraja Tourism Office, the Buntu Burake Village Head, local community members, micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) actors, and sanitation officers around the tourist attraction. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Tourism Office's programs have contributed to the emergence of various community empowerment potentials, including improved human resource capacity through tourism training, the development of local MSMEs, the strengthening of creative economy activities, and increased community participation in supporting tourism activities. The community also possesses considerable potential to develop local products and tourism services that can enhance the attractiveness of the Buntu Burake destination. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including uneven community participation, limited financial support, and the need for continuous mentoring to optimize community empowerment. These findings suggest that identifying local community empowerment potential can serve as a basis for formulating more effective and sustainable tourism development policies that strengthen community participation in destination management

Abstract

Creative economy MSMEs in the creative sector drive local economic growth. Many business owners have failed to implement simple bookkeeping, resulting in a lack of structured financial record. Simple bookkeeping is essential for organised and accountable business management, and this community service effort strives to teach MSME owners. The Sanggalangi' District Head and district staff, along with representatives from traditional Torajan souvenir crafts, blacksmithing, cake businesses, and local agricultural products, attended the event at the district office in North Toraja Regency. A presentation on simple bookkeeping was followed by an interactive discussion to identify participants' financial management difficulties. Participants learned the value of segregating business and personal finances, keeping transaction records, and using financial information to manage and expand their enterprises. The lively conversation showed the necessity for financial management education. This effort is intended to help creative economy MSMEs in Sanggalangi' District adopt simple bookkeeping procedures.
