Results : The results showed that most respondents in the category of moderate fatigue (57,72%) with the highest symptoms of fatigue were yawn while working (56.38%). Multivariate analysis using logistic regression tests found that stress variable showed a significant relationship to fatigue with an OR value = 4.28, meaning that stressed workers were 4.28 times more at risk of experiencing fatigue than those without stress. Conclusion/Lesson Learned : In general, fatigue among young workers in workplace in conditions of need is a critical risk of work accidents. Abstract

Indonesia is highly vulnerable to natural disasters, with regions across the country frequently affected by events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions. Key factors contributing to high casualty rates and significant losses during disasters include limited understanding of hazard characteristics, attitudes or behaviors that degrade natural resources, lack of early warning information, and overall unpreparedness. Ban Village, located in Kubu District, Karangasem Regency, lies in a disaster-prone zone close to Mount Agung and Mount Abang. Following a recent earthquake, Cegi Hamlet, in particular, suffered extensive damage, with many homes destroyed and residents lacking adequate disaster response knowledge and skills. This study aimed to assess the knowledge and attitudes of Cegi Hamlet residents toward earthquake disaster preparedness. The research employed a cross-sectional study design with a target population of Cegi Hamlet residents who met specified inclusion and exclusion criteria. A sample of 80 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire measuring levels of knowledge, attitudes, and responses to earthquake disasters. Data analysis involved the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for distribution analysis, which indicated a non-normal distribution, followed by Spearman's Rank correlation to examine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes. The results indicated a significant positive relationship between knowledge and attitudes toward earthquake disaster response efforts (p = 0.000, p < 0.05). In conclusion, there is a significant correlation between community knowledge and attitudes in Cegi Hamlet, Ban Village, Karangasem Regency, suggesting that enhancing knowledge could positively influence disaster preparedness and response behaviors.

Abstract

The emergence of eye fatique in junior high school students during the online learning process is caused by the length of time the eyes stare at the laptop for a long time. In addition, the presence of more sophisticated learning media, the position of the laptop is very important and has a main function in supporting the online learning process. From a preliminary study conducted on 10 students from a private junior high school in Denpasar, it was found that 50% of students experienced complaints of dizziness, 50% glare and 20% sore eyes. With the above background, a study with the same subject design was conducted involving 25 students with an age range of 13-14 years. The study was conducted for 3 consecutive days, namely on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday by measuring eye fatigue using an eye fatigue questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the t-paired test at a significance level of p = 0.005. After using the laptop was limited according to the radiation exposure time from the appropriate laptop, the eye sight distance to the monitor screen was set 50-100 cm and interspersed with pauses or rest periods then the average eye fatigue in students before the improvement of 22.54 can be reduced to 5.25 or about 71%. Conclusion: From the research, it was concluded that limiting the duration of using laptops during online learning can reduce students' eye fatigue

Pengubengan Kauh Kerobokan Kelod, Badung. Abstract

Job stress can appear in all fields of work. Job stress not only occurs from the environment at work but also can be caused by the psychological condition of the workers. Working on a cruise ship demands higher patience to serve the guests in various activities and handle complaints. Moreover, work on cruise ships causes the workers separated from their families for a long time period, which can increase their mental pressure. The aim of this research is to describe the job stress of workers at a cruise ship. This research was conducted in January-June 2017. In an attempt to examine and understand this research, the researcher used a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design and descriptive approach. The sample of this research was 111 participants with an affordable population are crew members who only come from Bali Province. Researchers used a convenient sampling technique and questionnaire as research instruments. The result shows that 60,36% of respondents experience job stress in moderate categories and 12.61% in the higher categories. The proportion of job stress in the higher categories was: mostly male (16.67%); at galley station (20.00%); working >5 years (14.71%); age group 11-20 years (25.00%); duration of work >11 hours (16.07%); and the level of fatigue is very tired (100%). The data, bivariate analyzed by using Kendall's tau-b correlation test with significance level is 0.05, showed a significant correlation between job stress and fatigue level (p = 0.001, r=0,41). Recommendation to solve these problems are: First, workers need to conduct stress management to minimize the impact of job stress. Second, companies need to pay attention to the workload and complaints of workers so it can develop a sustainable plan, particularly related to job stress.

Abstract

All laboratory activities significantly impact health, especially wet laboratories. This is due to the potential hazards and high risk of workplace accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the biorisk management system in the laboratory of Bali International University. The approach used was quantitative, conducted by completing the SNI 8340:2016 checklist through laboratory interviews and direct observation in the laboratory. The study uses biological materials from December 2023 to December 2024. The unit of analysis for this study were four laboratories. After data processing for all laboratories had been calculated, a gap analysis was determined. The results show that four laboratories studied have not yet established a biorisk management system. There has been no achievement related to the general requirements and policy aspects, the average achievement in the planning aspect needs to be improved, namely 26%. The average achievement in the implementation and operational aspects is good, namely 61%, and the average achievement in the inspection and corrective action aspects is good, namely 61%. Management reviews have not been conducted at all laboratories. The recommendation that can be given is to develop policies related to risk management and implement them comprehensively.
