Abstract

The creative thinking skills of students have become one of the focuses currently being pursued for improvement in Indonesia. This is manifested by incorporating creative thinking skills as one of the characters to be trained in the Merdeka Curriculum. This research aims to determine the profile of creative thinking skills of elementary school students in Surakarta city, thus providing considerations for the implementation and evaluation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research was conducted using a survey method. The sample consisted of 200 fourth-grade students from 9 elementary schools in 5 districts of Surakarta city. There were 106 (53%) female and 94 (47%) male students in the sample. Sample selection was done using purposive sampling, by selecting fourth-grade classes as they have been implementing the Merdeka Curriculum for 2 years. The instrument used was a case-based essay test. The questions referred to the elements and sub-elements of creative thinking skills from the regulations governing the Profil Pelajar Pancasila of the Merdeka Curriculum. The data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The research findings indicate that the creative thinking skills of elementary school students in Surakarta City are still relatively low, with an average score of 49.87. The implementation of the Merdeka curriculum, which focuses on 6 dimensions of student character, one of which is creative thinking, has not yet been able to enhance students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to develop a model for assessing lecturer performance that includes tools, evaluation standards, standard-setting, computer programs, assessment standards, and instructions for using evaluation results. This is a development project. Nine experts approved the instrument design before using Aiken's V formula to determine content validity, exploratory factor analysis to determine construction validity, and Cronbach's alpha to determine reliability. The study's findings revealed that: 1) the entire instrument meets the criteria for validity; 2) an instrumental analysis of the teacher's instructional activities revealed reliability of the preparation, implementation, and evaluation components of 0.843; and finally, 3) the effectiveness of teaching, the efficacy of research, the efficacy of dedication to the community, and the qualifications of lecturers were all taken into account when evaluating the efficiency of the lecturer's employment.

Abstract

The inclusive education programme is a step towards implementing the mandate of the 1945 Constitution and eliminating discrimination in the education system in Indonesia. Through this programme, all children with various needs can learn together with other normal children in the same school. This study aims to identify the form of curriculum adaptation, especially in science subjects at SDN 25 Banda Aceh. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation, with the interview subjects being a special mentor teacher and a class teacher at the school. Based on the results of interviews, observations and documentation, curriculum adaptation at SDN 25 Banda Aceh is reviewed from the adaptation aspect and the principle aspect. Curriculum adaptation can be seen in teaching modules or lesson plans accompanied by special notes and adjustments to learning outcomes for children with disabilities in accordance with the Merdeka curriculum. Learning adaptation can be seen in the presence of a special mentor teacher in the classroom and accompanied by the class teacher. Environmental adaptation is not optimal because the school is not optimal. In science learning, adaptations and modifications for children with disabilities are still limited.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of inclusive education at the primary school level in Banda Aceh city. The study was conducted in three primary schools, namely SD 20, SD 25 and SD 56 Banda Aceh, using descriptive qualitative methods. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that the three schools had implemented inclusive education but with varying levels of readiness and implementation. The management aspects studied included planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the inclusion program. It was found that factors such as teacher competence, infrastructure, parental support and school policies play an important role in the successful management of inclusive education. The main challenges faced include limited human resources trained in special education, lack of accessible facilities and social stigma towards children with special needs. This study recommends improving teacher training, providing adequate facilities and strengthening collaboration between schools, parents and communities to optimize inclusive education management in primary schools.

Abstract

This article addresses the importance of teachers’ understanding of students’ thinking mechanisms as the basis for implementing deep learning in elementary schools. In Garut Regency, Indonesia, many teachers still rely on conventional teaching methods, leading to passive learning and low student engagement. To respond to this challenge, a community service program (PkM) was designed to enhance teachers’ competence through the application of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). The program employed a hybrid model, including online conceptual sessions on NLP and deep learning as well as offline workshops, collaborative practices, and classroom simulations. Participants consisted of elementary school teachers from various districts in Garut, selected based on their commitment to implementation. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments and perception surveys. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ ability to identify students’ learning modalities, apply NLP techniques and design mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning experiences. Teachers also reported positive perceptions of NLP as a tool to foster inclusivity, motivation, and social-emotional development in classrooms. In conclusion, the program effectively strengthened teachers’ pedagogical competence and demonstrated the potential of NLP as an innovative approach to improve the quality of elementary education in Indonesia.
