Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of political competition on health budgets in Indonesia. The analysis was conducted using a fixed-effects panel data regression approach for Indonesia’s regencies and municipalities between 2009 and 2019. To obtain robust results, this study uses three different measures of political competition, namely the Multiparty Margin Index, the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), and the Effective Number of Parties (ENP) Index. The estimation results show that only legislative political competition has a significant and consistent negative effect on the health budget, it is similar to the Leviathan Model theory.

Abstract

Getaspejaten Village boasts a diverse local flora that can be used for industrial purposes by utilizing natural resources to create environmentally friendly products with economic value. This natural potential can be a business opportunity for local villagers. The variety of existing flora, such as leaves, can be utilized to create products with artistic and economic value. These products can be made using the ecoprint technique. Ecoprint is a dyeing technique using natural dyes applied to the fabric's surface. This ecoprint training is expected to enable the community to produce various ecoprint artworks using natural materials such as leaves and flowers in the surrounding environment. The ecoprint training activities are carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and completion. Based on this training, ecoprint scarves are produced with unique natural colors and motifs. The Natural Dyes (ZWA) are a mixture of sappanwood and tegeran, with different leaf variations to create unique and aesthetic motifs. Based on interviews, this training activity received more than 90% positive responses from 31 participants. The results of this community service demonstrate that the training has enhanced the community's creativity, knowledge, and skills in processing natural materials into works of art with aesthetic and economic value. Furthermore, effective marketing is expected to increase community income.

Abstract

Poverty in Indonesia is a serious problem, where the amount of meat consumption is decreasing, and the inequality of meat consumption between the rich and poor groups is increasing every year. The sacrificial worship has great potential to improve the community's economy, including livestock waqf, which can overcome the inequality of meat consumption. This study aims to analyze the initiation of social financing facilities through CWLQ to alleviate poverty in Indonesia. The research method used is panel data analysis by combining data from 34 provinces in Indonesia in the period 2019-2023. The independent variables used are sacrificial production, poverty in the previous period, economic growth, HDI, and the Gini coefficient, while the dependent variable is the poverty rate. The results of the analysis of sacrificial production, poverty in the previous period, economic growth, HDI, and the Gini coefficient will provide insight into the influence of economic and social factors in poverty alleviation efforts. This research is expected to contribute to developing more effective waqf-based policies in Indonesia, especially in supporting the national agenda to reduce poverty. These findings can also be a reference for policymakers and social and financial institutions designing sustainable CWLQ management strategies that positively impact the welfare of the wider community.
