Abstract

Education has an important role in people's lives and in the future, with the hope that improving the quality of education can reduce crime rates. The Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM) is a government initiative to increase student productivity and reduce truancy in tertiary institutions. MBKM aims to improve the quality of human resources, graduates, and educational institutions. This research focuses on the IAIN Ternate campus, especially the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Science (FTIK) which has 8 study programs. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative (Mix Method). Researchers used the draft MBKM guidelines from the FGD results to create variable indicators and create research instruments. The instrument was validated by three education experts using a Likert scale. The results showed that the implementation of the first level of MBKM (Reaction) had not been fully socialized to the study program coordinators. The guidelines used are still in draft form and have not been approved by the chancellor, indicating that the campus has not been wholeheartedly involved in implementing MBKM. The MBKM guideline draft is also still imperfect and is in the data collection stage regarding the number of credits of courses that will be involved in the MBKM.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions face complex challenges due to ongoing social, economic, and political changes, requiring continuous adaptation and quality improvement in educational services. Conflict management, therefore, is essential to ensure these institutions' sustainability and progress. This descriptive qualitative library research study deeply explores conflict and conflict management within Islamic educational institutions, using documentation for data collection and content analysis for data interpretation. Findings highlight the importance of integrating practical conflict management principles with Islamic values to foster communication, collaboration, and harmony, positively impacting productivity and the work environment. The study theoretically contributes to Islamic conflict management concepts and practically supports adaptive HR strategies. However, it remains limited in exploring diverse conflict management implementations across institutions with varying characteristics and the effectiveness of conflict models within different organizational cultures.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the In House Training (IHT) program in improving the quality of deep learning-based instruction at SMA Muhammadiyah Galela. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, involving 23 teachers from various subject areas as participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive model of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that all participants successfully designed teaching modules aligned with the 2025 learning outcomes and the Merdeka Curriculum by integrating deep learning principles with Artificial Intelligence (AI). The training process, which included theoretical sessions, practical activities, and evaluation through module presentations, was effective in enhancing teachers’ competence, creativity, and collaboration. This study concludes that IHT is an adaptive and sustainable strategy to strengthen teacher professionalism and improve deep learning practices in secondary schools..

Abstract

This study investigates the perceptions of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students at IAIN Ternate regarding religious tolerance and moderation, highlighting the gap between curriculum narratives and social realities on campus. Although religious moderation has been integrated into the curriculum as part of national Islamic education policy, many students still exhibit exclusive attitudes and discomfort in interfaith interactions. A survey revealed that 45% of students feel uneasy interacting with peers from different religious backgrounds, and 30% tend to engage in rigid, non-dialogical religious discussions. These findings indicate a challenge in translating theoretical knowledge into practical behavior. The study uses a qualitative approach to explore how moderation values are internalized in students’ academic and social environments. It found that while students understand the concept intellectually, its application remains limited due to socio-cultural factors. The results suggest the need for more contextual and interactive learning strategies that can bridge this gap such as value-based discussions, pluralism-based student programs, and inclusive role models. This research provides valuable insights for curriculum developers and educators aiming to cultivate religious moderation as a lived value, not merely a theoretical concept, particularly in multicultural Islamic higher education settings like IAIN Ternate.
