Abstract

This research focuses on the impact of the Oyomi application on the comprehension of Japanese word classes (part of speech) and sentence structures. The primary issue addressed is the need for efficient and effective language learning tools. The objective is to explore the role of artificial intelligence (AI) within the application in enhancing Dokkai learning. The methodology encompasses a comprehensive analysis of the two principal features contributing to Dokkai learning, the utilization of AI technologies, and a comparison between traditional learning vs AI-powered mobile learning methods. Data collection involved simple linear regression statistical analysis using an F-test and correlation coefficient to gauge the relationship between the usage of the AI-powered Oyomi application and the comprehension of word classes in Dokkai learning. The F test results of 0.01 < 0.05 indicate a significant contribution and a correlation coefficient of 0.8 means the strength of the relationship is very strong. These findings show that AI, when integrated into language learning applications like Oyomi, can provide a more efficient and effective learning experience, especially in Japanese reading comprehension.

Abstract

The hashtag #KaburAjaDulu, which went viral on platform X, reflects the concerns of Indonesian society—particularly among younger generations—regarding domestic social and economic pressures, as well as an increasing interest in migrating to Japan. This phenomenon illustrates the complexity of digital public opinion, yet few studies have specifically compared the effectiveness of different sentiment analysis algorithms within this context. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and compare public sentiment toward the #KaburAjaDulu hashtag, particularly about migration to Japan, using a Natural Language Processing (NLP) approach with three sentiment analysis algorithms: VADER, TextBlob, and BERT. A total of 1000 tweets were collected using scraping techniques, and after preprocessing, 967 tweets were included in the analysis. Sentiments were categorized into three classes: positive, negative, and neutral. The results show that VADER and TextBlob tend to classify tweets as neutral or positive, while BERT reveals a dominant negative sentiment of 52.3%. These findings suggest that BERT is more sensitive to context and implicit sentiment in the informal Indonesian language. This study highlights the importance of selecting appropriate algorithms for social media sentiment analysis and contributes to a deeper understanding of digital migration aspirations within Indonesian society.

Abstract

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of consumer preferences for the Isekai anime genre among Generation Z in Indonesia. As a prominent element of Japanese popular culture, anime has achieved global popularity, particularly among young people, including those in Indonesia. The Isekai genre, known for its alternate world settings, engaging plots, and intricate characters, stands out as a top favorite. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, this study examines the factors that shape Generation Z's affinity for the Isekai genre and its connection to their demographic profiles. Data collection involved in-depth interviews and surveys with Generation Z individuals who are enthusiasts of Isekai anime. The results indicate that Generation Z is primarily drawn to the Isekai genre due to its unique narratives and otherworldly settings, along with its nuanced characters. Furthermore, their preferences are shaped by the convenience of streaming platforms, active fan networks, and the impact of social media. The study also highlights that a preference for Isekai anime significantly affects the attitudes and cultural consumption behaviors of Generation Z. This research offers critical insights for the anime industry to better engage and understand the Generation Z demographic. Additionally, it sheds light on how the Isekai anime genre can shape individual development within the realm of popular culture. By understanding Generation Z's preferences and the factors influencing them, anime creators can develop more targeted strategies to boost audience engagement and loyalty.
