Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a Quality Management System (QMS) for construction procurement in order to enhance contractors' performance. The successful implementation of construction work is crucial for the financial and operational performance of an institution. However, delays and disruptions often occur in construction projects due to low-quality work. To address this issue, this study utilized a literature review, questionnaire survey, and statistical analysis to develop a QMS for the procurement process of construction services. The results indicate that the QMS has the potential to enhance the performance of contractors and reduce the frequency of project delays. This study contributes to the field of construction work in institutions, and its findings have practical implications for improving the quality of construction work. Abstract

Amid Indonesia’s fast-growing Sharia-compliant finance sector and heightened global volatility, a clear assessment of how systemic shocks affect bank performance is increasingly urgent. This research analyzes economic vulnerability and its implications for the efficiency of Islamic banking in Indonesia. Using monthly time-series data from 2007 to 2024, it employs a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The findings reveal that both disbursed financing (FIN) and non-performing financing (NPF) significantly influence operational efficiency—measured by the BOPO ratio—in both the short and long run. Specifically, higher levels of FIN and NPF diminish efficiency by raising operational costs or reducing income. By contrast, the crisis indicator (CRS) gains significance only in the long run, implying that Islamic banks require time to adjust to macroeconomic shocks. Impulse-Response Function analysis shows mixed efficiency reactions to macroeconomic shocks, while Forecast Error Variance Decomposition highlights BOPO’s own shocks as the largest source of its variance and underscores NPF as the most powerful exogenous driver. These insights equip Islamic-bank managers and policymakers to craft strategies that mitigate economic vulnerability and enhance operational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of fintech lending on the level of financial inclusion in Indonesia, considering the moderating roles of financial literacy and the Information and Communication Technology Development Index (IPTI). The research applies a mixed methods approach using a convergent parallel design. Quantitative analysis was conducted using panel regression data from 34 provinces in Indonesia for the period 2019-2022, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with fintech lending users in two cities. The findings reveal that fintech lending significantly improves financial inclusion. However, financial literacy has a negative moderating effect on the relationship, suggesting that increased literacy may lead to more selective behavior in adopting fintech services. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating financial literacy and ICT infrastructure considerations into fintech policies to optimize its role in expanding financial inclusion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender-based differences in Employee Green Behavior (EGB) among Muslim employees. EGB refers to pro-environmental actions voluntarily undertaken by employees in support of environmental sustainability in the workplace. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design and involved 226 Muslim respondents (111 men and 115 women) from various industrial sectors in Indonesia. The instrument used was a five-item EGB scale adapted from Norton et al. (2015), with a reliability of α = 0.83. Data analysis was conducted using an independent t-test to test differences in EGB scores based on gender. The results showed that there were significant differences in most dimensions of EGB, with female employees consistently showing higher scores than male employees. The largest difference was in the habit of bringing reusable cutlery/drinking utensils. This finding reflects the influence of gender identity and religiosity in shaping environmentally friendly behavior. The Islamic perspective that places humans as caliphs on earth is an important ethical foundation for Muslim employees in internalizing ecological responsibility. This study suggests the importance of developing sustainability programs that are sensitive to gender differences and religiosity, as well as the need for specific strategies to increase male employees' engagement in environmentally friendly behaviors in order to achieve organizational sustainability goals more inclusively and effectively.

Abstract

The rapid development of financial literacy is due to the presence of digital technology, which enables people from all walks of life to access various financial services. Although the financial regulator, OJK, has imposed strict age restrictions and requirements for accessing these financial facilities, many members of the general public, especially students, neglect the requirements when accessing financial services, leading to a phenomenon where many students or university students become entangled in online loans and even e-commerce transactions that facilitate borrowing. Therefore, this service aims to provide education or socialization to the public, especially students, to better understand financial literacy and thoroughly discuss the impacts and benefits. The students selected for this service are from SMAIT Nururrahman, located at Jl. Raya Sawangan No.11, Pancoran MAS, Pancoran Mas District, Depok City, West Java 16436.

Abstract

The main problem faced by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the cosmetics and perfume sector is the lack of a deep understanding of product knowledge aspects and halal product standards, especially in the context of the majority Indonesian Muslim market. This community service activity (PKM) aims to increase the entrepreneurial capacity of students and partner SMEs through intensive training on branding, product knowledge, and halal certification processes for ablution-friendly perfume products. The method of implementing activities includes three stages: (1) Socialization and education about the importance of halal certification and the concept of ablution-friendly perfume; (2) Technical training on the preparation of brand identity and digital marketing strategies; and (3) Direct assistance in improving the quality of SME Partner products. The results achieved were a significant increase in the understanding of participants (students and SMEs) by 35% regarding halal and branding aspects. In addition, SME Mitra has successfully identified and reformulated the Unique Selling Proposition of their products, namely perfumes that meet the criteria of 'ablution-friendly'. This activity succeeded in creating synergy between academics and business actors in producing competitive products in the halal market.
