Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Think Pair Share (TPS) model based on flipped learning on students' creative thinking skills. This type of research is quantitative research with a meta-analysis approach. The eligibility criteria in this study are research from national or international journals published in 2020-2024; research must be indexed by SINTA and Scopus, research must relate to the effect of the TPS model based on flipped learning on students' creative thinking skills, research obtained through the google scholar database, ScienceDirect, Wiley, ERIC and Hindawi, and research attaching complete data to analyse effect size. The data analysis technique is quantitative analysis by calculating the effect size value with the help of the OpenMEE application. The results of this study concluded that there was a positive effect of the TPS model based on flipped learning on students' creative thinking skills with a value of ES = 0.826; P < 0.001 with a high effect size category. This finding informs that the implementation of TPS model based on flipped learning has a significant effect on students compared to conventional model.

Abstract

The flipped classroom model has become a popular learning model in recent years. This model reverses the traditional concept of learning by moving key learning activities outside the classroom, allowing students to learn independently through videos, modules, or other learning resources. This study aims to analyze the impact of the flipped classroom model on student learning through meta-analysis. The meta-analysis was conducted by collecting and analyzing the results of 14 primary studies examining the effectiveness of the flipped classroom model compared to traditional learning methods. Data analysis is a quantitative analysis with a JSAP application. The results of this study concluded that the meta-analysis results showed that the flipped classroom model had a significant positive impact on student learning with an overall effect size of 0.826; P < 0.001 is included in the high effect size category. The findings show that students who participate in learning with the flipped classroom model have better learning outcomes compared to students who follow traditional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of the ability to analyze kinematics problems through the matriculation program. The subjects of this study were 22 New Students of the 2022 Class of Physics Education Study Program, Pattimura University, Ambon. This study uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive research types. The trial design uses a one group pretest–posttest design. The instrument in this study is the Test Instrument, in this case to measure the improvement of the ability to analyze kinematics problems before and after matriculation. Data analysis in this study was carried out using quantitative descriptive analysis to describe the data as it is in the form of percentages and explain data or events with explanatory sentences qualitatively. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis including: kinematics problem analysis test results. The results of the study showed that 90.9% experienced an increase in their ability to analyze kinematics problems in the medium - high category, and 9.1% in the low category did not experience an increase in their ability to analyze kinematics problems, so it can be concluded that marticulation can improve the ability to analyze kinematics problems of physics education students in the Class of 2022

Abstract

This study aims to train the science process skills of high school students through phet media in an inquiry setting on elasticity material. The sample of this study was 27 students of class XI MIA-3. This study uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive research types. The trial design uses one group pretest–posttest design. The instrument in this study is the Test Instrument, in this case to measure the increase in students' science process skills before and after treatment using the inquiry model and phet media. Data analysis in this study was carried out using quantitative descriptive analysis. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis including: the results of the science process skills test. The results showed an increase in science process skills with an average Ngain of 0.80 with a high category and the achievement of an increase in each science process skill indicator above 70%, so it can be concluded that the inquiry model and phet media can train the science process skills of SMA A class XI MIA-3 students on elasticity material

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning is one of the main focuses in the field of education. One factor that plays a role in enhancing students' understanding is the use of interactive learning media. This media allows students to be more active in the learning process, especially in understanding abstract concepts. However, based on interviews with teachers at State Junior High School 1 Huamual Belakang, it was found that the utilization of interactive learning media at that school is still very minimal. Therefore, this Community Service Program (PKM) aims to train teachers in using PhET, Prezi, Seesaw, and Renderforest applications as interactive learning media that can improve student learning outcomes. The method used in this activity is direct instruction, which includes material presentation, demonstrations of application usage, simulations, and discussion and Q&A sessions. The evaluation was conducted through a questionnaire filled out by teachers and students after the training. The analysis results from the questionnaire indicate that the use of interactive learning media received positive feedback from both teachers and students. Teachers felt more assisted in delivering the material, while students found it easier to understand abstract concepts. Thus, this activity has a positive impact on enhancing teachers' skills in utilizing learning technology and helps students understand the material more effectively. This program is expected to be implemented sustainably in other schools to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Students often face difficulties in socializing with their peers during the learning process. Therefore, a learning approach that can enhance collaborative skills is needed—one such approach is differentiated instruction. This study aims to describe students' collaboration skills through the implementation of a differentiated approach in learning physics at Grade X of SMA B in West Seram Regency. The subjects of this study were 26 students from class X-2 at SMA B. The research employed a descriptive quantitative and qualitative method. The experimental design used was a one-shot case study. The instrument used in the study was non-test-based, namely an observation sheet designed to measure collaboration skills. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative descriptive analysis to present the data in percentage form, as well as qualitative descriptive analysis to explain the findings through narrative descriptions. The data analysis techniques included both qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, which involved observing students’ collaboration skills using the differentiated approach. The observation sheet results showed that students’ collaborative skills reached a percentage of 72.43%, which falls under the high category. This high category was attributed to the fact that learning through a differentiated approach enabled students to demonstrate improved collaboration skills—such as active participation, responsibility, flexibility and compromise, and mutual respect.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an innovative approach aimed at improving instructional effectiveness by tailoring teaching methods and materials to meet students' individual needs. However, most science teachers in West Seram Regency have not yet implemented this approach optimally. Some teachers have even made mistakes in its application and face various significant challenges. This study aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by senior high school science teachers in implementing differentiated learning in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. The study involved 30 teachers from 6 senior high schools in the region and employed both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods using a survey design. Instruments included questionnaires to measure levels of difficulty and interviews to strengthen the data. The results revealed that four out of six schools had not yet implemented differentiated learning effectively, with an average difficulty level reaching 63.3%. The main difficulties included a lack of conceptual understanding, limited resources, and minimal training related to the new curriculum. These findings underscore the need to enhance teachers’ professional capacity through intensive training so that they can design more inclusive and adaptive learning strategies, ultimately improving the quality of education in West Seram Regency.
