Abstract

Abstract

Community Service (PkM) activities were carried out by providing training to teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah in Waitomu Hamlet-Negeri Hila. This activity aims to provide insight into the development of teacher professionalism, more specifically how deep the application of CRT in learning activities at school. This activity is expected to encourage teachers to improve their competence and motivation to become professional teachers. The activity was carried out in a structured and systematic manner in the form of providing in-depth material for teachers. The result of the community service is that subject teachers can develop learning tools based on local wisdom, namely CRT, which utilizes the surrounding environment as a learning resource. In addition, 100% of teachers like this activity, this is because there are many training activities both from the center and local governments, but CRT-based training activities are rarely delivered and are even new to teachers. The school hopes that lecturers can continue to provide assistance and training for teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah by sharing new things so that they can apply them in learning. By embracing CRT in learning, it can create an inclusive, interesting, and empowering learning experience that meets the various needs of all students and helps close the gap in learning

Abstract

Assessment plays an essential role in decision-making related to student success, especially in the Independent Curriculum, which encourages a holistic assessment approach. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve the skills of SMA/SMK/MA teachers in Leihitu District in compiling alternative assessments that are able to evaluate various aspects of student competency. This PKM was carried out for two days with training and mentoring methods. The activities were divided into two parts, namely two-day training and the second part was mentoring in compiling assessments. The results of this training showed an increase in teachers' ability to compile alternative assessments from the sufficient category to the good category. This finding confirms that the PKM activity has succeeded in improving teachers' ability to compile alternative assessments in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. These results show the importance of ongoing training for teachers to support the implementation of more effective assessments in accordance with the Independent Curriculum, which ultimately strengthens the quality of decisions related to student learning development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of ethnobotanically charged project-based learning-STEM models on students' critical thinking skills in biology learning. This type of research is a meta-analysis research. The inclusion criteria in this study are that the research must be relevant; research data was obtained from Google Scholar, Mendeley, ScienceDirect, ERIC and ProQuest; Research must be indexed by SINTA or Scopus, research published in 2023-2025 and have complete data to obtain effect size values. Data analysis with the help of the Jamovi application to calculate the effect size value, publication bias and homogeneity test. The results of this study concluded that the value of the summary effect size (d = 1.129; p < 0.005; Z = 9.890). These findings explain that there is an influence of the ethnobotanically charged project-based learning-STEM model on students' 21st-century skills in Science Learningcompared to the conventional model with a strong effect size category.

Abstract

Physics learning often faces challenges in improving students' creative thinking skills and learning activities, which tend to remain low. This presents a significant challenge for educators to identify effective learning models that foster both creativity and student engagement. This study aims to analyze students’ creative thinking skills and learning activities in physics learning using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The research subjects were 29 students of Class A at SMA A in Central Maluku Regency. The research employed a mixed-method approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. Instruments included a test to measure creative thinking skills and observation sheets as non-test instruments to assess students’ learning activities throughout the learning process. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods in the form of percentages, and qualitative analysis in narrative explanation, supported by a t-test to determine significant differences between pretest and posttest results. The findings showed that 52.5% of students reached a fairly high level of creativity after implementing the PjBL model, with a significant increase in creativity test scores compared to before the intervention. Additionally, observations of learning activities indicated very high student engagement, particularly during presentations, with a percentage reaching 83.25%. These findings demonstrate that the Project-Based Learning model is effective in enhancing students’ creative thinking skills while also stimulating active participation in physics learning

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is one of the six basic skills that are prerequisites and life skills in the 21st century, for numeracy literacy in Indonesia is still relatively low and far behind other countries for that, numeracy literacy skills are important in physics subjects because physics is inseparable from mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in numeracy literacy of SMA A Class XI IPA students in Physics. The approach in this study used a qualitative and quantitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The sample in this study amounted to 26 students in class XI IPA-2 at SMA A, West Seram Regency. The instrument used was a test instrument consisting of 15 test questions that included numeracy literacy indicators on the material of material elasticity. The data analysis technique in this study was quantitative and qualitative data which were the main data of the study in the form of numeracy literacy skills before (pretest) and after (posttest). The results of the study showed that the average N-gain value was 0.45 and it was found that 2 students (8%) had numeracy literacy skills at the Skillful level, at the Provicient competency level there were 8 students (31%), at the basic competency level there were 13 students (50%), and at the competency level requiring special intervention there were 3 students (11%), so it can be concluded that there was an increase in the numeracy literacy skills of SMA A Class XI IPA-2 students in Physics with a low category and classified as a basic level.
