Abstract

Abstrak: Padi dan ubi jalar merupakan sumber karbohidrat utama bagi mayoritas penduduk di Indonesia. Lahan sawah perlu diketahui tingkat kesesuaian dan faktor pembatasnya dengan tujuan pengambilan keputusan yang tepat, maka produksi dapat diperkirakan serta produktivitas lahan secara optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini memodelkan kesesuaian lahan berupa peta sebaran berserta luasan kesesuaian lahan tanaman padi tadah hujan dan ubi jalar di Jawa Timur serta hasil penelitian ini juga dapat membantu menetapkan kebijakan pertanian yang tepat karena pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan kondisi lahan sehingga mampu memberikan solusi sesuai dengan kondisi lahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis sistem geografis dengan melakukan overlay data tanah, curah hujan, topografi, suhu, dan salinitas. Teknik analisis spasial overlay data merupakan metode untuk menggabungkan dan menganalisis dua atau lebih data spasial yang berbeda untuk menghasilkan informasi baru. Hasil pengolahan data kesesuaian lahan atas tanaman padi tadah hujan dan ubi jalar di Provinsi Jawa Timur masing-masing didominasi oleh kelas kesesuaian lahan S2 yaitu cukup sesuai dan S1 sangat sesuai. Persebaran hasil kesesuaian lahan tanaman padi tadah hujan paling banyak terdapat di daerah dengan topografi dataran tinggi sedangkan ubi jalar tidak bisa bertahan pada lahan yang selalu basah (curah hujan tinggi) dan suhu yang rendah.Abstract: Rice and sweet potatoes are the main sources of carbohydrates for the majority of the population in Indonesia. Rice fields need to know the level of suitability and limiting factors with the aim of making the right decisions, so that production can be estimated and land productivity optimized. The purpose of this study is to model land suitability in the form of a distribution map along with the area of land suitability for rainfed rice and sweet potatoes in East Java and the results of this study can also help determine the right agricultural policy because decision making is based on land conditions so that it can provide solutions according to land conditions. This research uses geographic system analysis by overlaying soil, rainfall, topography, temperature, and salinity data. Spatial analysis technique of data overlay is a method to combine and analyze two or more different spatial data to produce new information. The results of land suitability data processing for rainfed rice and sweet potato crops in East Java Province are each dominated by the S2 land suitability class, which is quite suitable and S1 is very suitable. The distribution of land suitability results for rainfed rice is mostly found in areas with highland topography while sweet potatoes cannot survive on land that is always wet (high rainfall) and low temperatures.

Abstract

Erosion and sedimentation are two significant issues influenced by hydrodynamic activities and sediment transport, leading to many hydrological changes in a watershed. Erosion in a watershed streamflow will cause sedimentation and riverbed shallowing. A similar situation occurs in the Mentaya Watershed, where sedimentation has triggered a rise in river water levels, increasing the potential for flooding during rainfall events. The RUSLE method in assessing erosion rates provides results that can inform effective erosion control strategies under the current conditions of the Mentaya Watershed. This study aimed to identify the current conditions of the Mentaya Watershed and monitor the estimated magnitude of erosion and sedimentation through RUSLE calculations using Google Earth Engine (GEE). The study results showed a dynamic increase in erosion rates in the Mentaya Watershed from 2016 to 2024, with the highest predicted figure reaching 509.84 tons/ha/year in 2024. The highest amount of transported sediment was found in 2024, occurring in areas with slopes greater than 40%, while the lowest transported sediment was found in areas with moderate slopes of 10-20%. The sedimentation level in the Mentaya Watershed was expected to continue increasing in line with the high erosion rates. This condition will significantly affect the levels of erosion and sedimentation vulnerability in the Mentaya Watershed.

Abstract

This study analyzes land use changes in Jember Regency, East Java, with a focus on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land during the period 2013–2023 and predicts land use for the next decade. This study highlights the impact of population growth on land conversion, especially the shift from agricultural land to urban areas that has the potential to threaten food security. By utilizing GLC-FCS30D satellite imagery and combining Markov Chain and Cellular Automata methods, this study analyzes spatial data to predict scenarios of future land use change. The results of the analysis show a significant decrease in the area of ​​rice fields, from 95,985.09 hectares in 2012 to a projected 93,706.22 hectares in 2032. Additionally, we estimate a food deficit in 2032, with rice needs reaching 625,664 tons, while production remains stagnant at 531,314.26 tons. These findings emphasize the importance of formulating strategic land management policies to protect agricultural land and ensure the sustainability of food production amidst the pressures of urbanization and demographic growth.   Penelitian ini menganalisis perubahan penggunaan lahan di Kabupaten Jember, Jawa Timur, dengan fokus pada alih fungsi lahan pertanian menjadi lahan non-pertanian selama periode 2013–2023, serta memprediksi penggunaan lahan untuk satu dekade mendatang. Studi ini menyoroti dampak pertumbuhan penduduk terhadap konversi lahan, khususnya pergeseran dari lahan pertanian ke wilayah perkotaan yang berpotensi mengancam ketahanan pangan. Dengan memanfaatkan citra satelit GLC-FCS30D dan menggabungkan metode Markov Chain dan Cellular Automata, penelitian ini menganalisis data spasial untuk memprediksi skenario perubahan penggunaan lahan di masa depan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan penurunan signifikan pada luas lahan sawah, dari 95.985,09 hektare pada 2012 menjadi proyeksi 93.706,22 hektare pada 2032. Selain itu, diperkirakan akan terjadi defisit pangan pada tahun 2032, dengan kebutuhan beras mencapai 625.664 ton, sementara produksi stagnan di angka 531.314,26 ton. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya perumusan kebijakan pengelolaan lahan yang strategis untuk melindungi lahan pertanian dan menjamin keberlanjutan produksi pangan di tengah tekanan urbanisasi dan pertumbuhan demografis.

Abstract

Sebagai negara kepulauan, negara indonesia memiliki wilayah daratan yang lebih sedikit dibandingkan wilayah lautan. Sehingga, penentuan batas pengelolaan wilayah laut penting diketahui sebab berkaitan dengan berbagai aspek sumber daya perairan dan kewenangan dalam menjaga keberlangsungan lingkungan laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan hasil visualisasi peta batas administrasi pada wilayah perairan secara kartometrik, yang telah didasarkan atas Permendagri No. 141 Tahun 2017 dan dibuat dengan kelengkapan data-data administrasi Kabupaten Simeulue untuk pengaplikasian metode buffer, Kabupaten Kebumen dan Kabupaten Purworejo untuk melakukan metode equidistant line serta data administrasi Kabupaten Lombok Timur dan Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat untuk digunakan metode median line. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa Penentuan batas wilayah laut memiliki cara yang berbeda tergantung kondisi wilayahnya. Wilayah kabupaten atau kota dengan bentuk pulau dianalisis dengan metode buffer, kemudian wilayah dengan pantai yang berdampingan dianalisis menggunakan equidistant line dan menunjukkan hasil bahwa Kabupaten Kebumen memiliki wilayah pengelolaan laut lebih luas dibandingkan Kabupaten Purworejo. Selain itu, untuk wilayah kabupaten atau kota dengan pantai yang berhadapan dianalisis menggunakan median line, sehingga diketahui Kabupaten Lombok Timur memiliki wilayah pengelolaan laut lebih luas dibandingkan Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of heroic narratives in two movies adaptations of Greek mythology, Clash of the Titans (2010) and Wrath of the Titans (2012), through a comparative literature approach and Vladimir Propp's narratology. The main character Perseus is the center of attention in the study of narrative structure because of his role as a mythological hero who faces a series of challenges that are full of values of courage, sacrifice, and determination. Propp's theory is used to identify narrative functions such as dispatch, magical agent, struggle, and transfiguration that appear in both movies. The method used is qualitative with content analysis technique by comparing the stories, characters, and moral messages as well as narrative functions in the two movies with the theme of Greek mythology. The results show that the comparison of the narrative structure of the two movies with the character Perseus has strengths in the dramatic aspects of heroic attitudes in accepting choices and fighting for life so that the integration of heroic material can be adapted to literature learning involving character values. This finding confirms that the narratological approach through comparative literature can be an important pedagogical tool to teach story structures with character values through popular media. This research recommends the utilization of mythological movies in literature learning and character education at various levels of education as a means of strengthening narrative literacy and understanding moral values.
