Abstract

The urgency of honest character education is increasingly pressing amidst the decline in moral values, so there is a need for innovation in the implementation of character education. This article analyzes the application of honest character to students at SDN Purwoyoso 03 through the application of the Honesty Pin from Thomas Lickona's perspective as a form of innovation in overcoming the urgency of character education. Thomas Lickona emphasized that honesty is the main pillar in character education which must be instilled from an early age. The Honesty Pin Program at SDN Purwoyoso 03 aims to internalize the value of honesty in students' daily lives. This research applies qualitative methods through interviews, observation, data reduction, and triangulation of point recording data. The results of the analysis show that the application of the Honesty Pin is effective and has a positive influence in implementing students' honest character, creating a school environment with integrity, and inspiring consistent honest behavior. However, besides this, the implementation of the Honesty Pin has obstacles, namely teacher and student factors. This article is expected to provide in-depth insight into the implementation of honest character education and suggest the development of similar programs for other schools to improve the overall quality of character education.The urgency of honest character education is increasingly pressing amidst the decline in moral values, so there is a need for innovation in the implementation of character education. Abstract

Bilingual education in Elementary Schools equips teachers to effectively use instructions in two phrases so that students can understand the subject matter. Instructional phrases include various forms of teacher instructions used to provide guidance, explain materials, encourage participation in activities, and teach lessons. The purpose of this study is to explain the use of teacher instructional phrases in bilingual education, including their forms, functions, and strategies to improve student understanding. This study uses a literature study method (library research), by collecting and analyzing related sources such as journal articles, academic books, and research papers that discuss bilingual education and pedagogical language. The findings of the study indicate that teachers use various strategies, such as code switching, translation, and communication techniques, to deliver instructions effectively. The use of varied and contextual instructional phrases can improve student understanding and engagement in bilingual education. This study contributes to the development of bilingual education practices that are more responsive to students' linguistic needs in elementary schools and can also serve as a guide for teachers in improving their teaching proficiency.

Abstract

SD Negeri Purwoyoso 04 Kota Semarang menerapkan sistem pendidikan inklusi. Hal ini dilakukan agar semua anak mendapatkan kesempatan belajar yang sama. Namun, praktik di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial antara siswa reguler dan siswa berkebutuhan khusus memiliki hambatan yang sangat terlihat, keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif tidak hanya bergantung pada fasilitas dan kurikulum, tetapi sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas interaksi sosial antar siswa. Sikap kepedulian, toleransi, kerja sama, dan penerimaan sosial siswa reguler terhadap siswa ABK menjadi faktor kunci yang menentukan keberhasilan integrasi sosial di kelas. Sayangnya, masih sedikit kajian mendalam yang mengungkap dinamika interaksi sosial dalam ruang kelas inklusif secara nyata, khususnya di tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan interaksi sosial dan respon siswa reguler terhadap siswa berkebutuhan khusus dengan tipe tunagrahita sedang di kelas 4B SD Negeri Purwoyoso 04. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan guru kelas serta pengamatan terhadap perilaku siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkebutuhan khusus mengalami keterbatasan dalam aspek kognitif, komunikasi, dan interaksi sosial, serta menunjukkan perilaku yang tidak sesuai norma sosial. Respon siswa reguler terhadap siswa berkebutuhan khusus tergolong beragam, dengan persentase sikap kepedulian 60% (sedang), kerja sama 45% (rendah), toleransi 80% (tinggi), dan penerimaan sosial 55% (sedang). Guru telah berupaya memberikan edukasi tentang kondisi siswa berkebutuhan khusus guna meningkatkan empati dan pemahaman siswa reguler. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun hambatan masih ada, terdapat potensi untuk membangun lingkungan inklusif melalui pendekatan yang berkelanjutan dan kolaboratif di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Spin The Wheel media on the Wordwall platform in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students of SDN Gondoriyo, especially in learning Pancasila Education on the material of rules and norms. The background of this study is the low critical thinking skills of elementary school students caused by the dominance of conventional learning methods and the lack of use of interactive learning media. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of teachers, students, and principals. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used an interactive model that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Spin The Wheel Wordwall media significantly increased students' participation and critical thinking skills. Students are more active in discussing, expressing opinions, and providing solutions to the cases presented. This media also creates a fun learning atmosphere, encourages collaboration, and contextualizes understanding of social norms. The use of this media faces several challenges, such as limited technological infrastructure, a lack of teacher competence in operating digital media, and limited time for curriculum integration. However, these challenges can be overcome through strategies to improve facilities, gradual teacher training, and flexible management of time and learning methods.
