Abstract

The textile industry was one of the contributors to the highest amount of waste in the world. One of the wastes produced by the textile industry was liquid waste which came from the remains of synthetic dyes which contained several dangerous chemicals. An alternative that could be done to reduce liquid waste from synthetic dyes was to switch to using natural dyes (environmentally friendly) that came from plants. One technique that could be used to color textiles was the eco-printing technique. The eco-print technique was a process for transferring color and shape through direct contact. The eco-printing technique used materials from plant parts that contained color pigments such as leaves, flowers, bark, etc. Products produced from eco-printings could be a school-based-MSME opportunity because eco-printings had artistic value and high selling value. The research method used literature study by taking reference sources from journals. The purpose of writing this article was to describe eco-printing as a business opportunity that could be pioneered by schools as a project continually.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a type of diabetes characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) levels due to persistent disturbances in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism, which can lead to complications if not managed properly. This metabolic disorder is not only related to physiological factors but is also influenced by psychological factors.. The purpose of this study was to determine the Relationship Between Anxiety and Emotional Regulation With Blood Glucose Level Stability in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Posyandu Elderly Pagu Kediri Regency. The design of this research is correlational analytic research with cross sectional approach. Population were Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patiens Posyandu Elderly Pagu Kediri Regency, using Purposive Sampling technique obtained a sample of 38 respondents. The independent variables studied were  Anxiety and Regulation Emotion Level, while the dependent variable were Blood Glucose Level Stability in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patiens. The instrument used was observation. The results were analyzed using the Chi square test (α = 0.05) The results showed that Anxiety level based on the frequency distribution of respondents, almost all of whom had moderate anxiety, namely 18 respondents (47,4%); almost all of whom had moderate regulation emotion level, namely 16 respondents (42,1%); and almost all of whom had high blood glucose level stability, namely 21 respondents (55,2%). Based on data then the results of the analysis using the Chi Square Test show that the p- value is less than α (0.05), because the p-value is <0.05. This shows p value = 0.028 ≤ α = 0.05, This shows p value = 0.017 ≤ α =0.05, so that Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that the Relationship Between Anxiety and Regulation Emotion With Blood Glucose Level Stability in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Posyandu Elderly in Pagu Kediri Regency. The importance of the Several psychological interventions for glucose control, including emotional regulation therapy, have shown effectiveness in reducing HbA1c and diabetes-related distress, indicating that emotional management may be an important part of glycemic control in people with Type 2 DM.

Abstract

The integration of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and portfolio-based learning has become increasingly important in nursing education to enhance students’ professional competence. This study aimed to examine the level of ESP competence and the implementation of portfolio-based nursing care, as well as to analyze the relationship and influence between these two variables among second-year nursing students at STIKES RS Baptis Kediri. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed involving 153 second-year nursing students selected using total sampling. Data were collected using validated Likert-scale questionnaires measuring ESP competence and portfolio-based nursing care implementation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. The results showed that students’ ESP competence and portfolio-based nursing care implementation were both at a good level. A strong and significant positive relationship was found between ESP competence and portfolio-based nursing care implementation (r = 0.684, p < 0.001). Regression analysis indicated that ESP competence significantly influenced portfolio-based nursing care implementation (B = 0.756, p < 0.001), explaining 46.8% of the variance. These findings suggest that integrating ESP into nursing education can significantly support portfolio-based learning and enhance professional nursing competence. The study recommends strengthening ESP instruction aligned with clinical documentation and reflective portfolio practices.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia due to insulin resistance and beta-cell dysfunction. Chronic hyperglycemia leads to microvascular complications, including ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) may enhance peripheral circulation through vasodilation mechanisms. The objective was to describe nursing care implementation in T2DM patients with ineffective peripheral perfusion using PMR therapy. A qualitative descriptive case study involving two hospitalized T2DM patients. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, systematic observation, focused physical examination, and medical records review. PMR was administered for 3–5 minutes per session for two days. The results showed prior to intervention, patients presented paresthesia (5–6/10), cold extremities (34.1–34.5°C), pale skin, and capillary refill time >3 seconds. After intervention, paresthesia decreased (2–3/10), extremities became warmer (36.0–36.3°C), capillary refill time improved (<2 seconds), and skin color normalized. In conclusion that PMR demonstrates potential as a non-pharmacological nursing intervention to improve peripheral perfusion in T2DM patients.
