Abstract

Penggunaan gadget di kalangan anak usia dini semakin meningkat seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi. Meski gadget memiliki potensi untuk mendukung pembelajaran, penggunaannya yang tidak terkontrol dapat berdampak negatif terhadap perkembangan fisik, emosional, dan sosial anak. Oleh karena itu, peran orang tua dalam mendampingi anak usia dini sangatlah penting. Orang tua berperan sebagai pembimbing untuk memastikan penggunaan gadget yang sehat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan perkembangan anak. Pendampingan orang tua dapat membantu anak mengembangkan keterampilan literasi digital, mencegah paparan konten yang tidak sesuai, serta mengajarkan pengelolaan waktu yang baik. Melalui pendampingan yang bijak, orang tua dapat menciptakan keseimbangan antara penggunaan gadget dan aktivitas lainnya, seperti bermain secara fisik, berinteraksi sosial, dan belajar langsung dari lingkungan. Dengan demikian, peran aktif orang tua menjadi kunci dalam memaksimalkan manfaat teknologi sambil meminimalkan dampaknya terhadap anak usia dini.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui evaluasi belajar program kecakapan hidup penanaman kecambah sawit bagi warga belajar paket C (studi kasus PKBM Wira Bhakti Kota Bengkulu). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Tutor kecakapan hidup, Ketua PKBM Wira Bhakti dan warga belajar. Untuk teknik validitas menggunakan trianggulasi waktu, trianggulasi subjek dan trianggulasi teknik dan data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan adanya evaluasi belajar program kecakapan hidup penanaman kecambah sawit. Hal tersebut dibuktikan warga belajar memiliki pengetahuan cara menyemai bibit kecambah sawit sampai dengan memelihara bibit kecambah sawit, sikap warga belajar yang baik mengikuti semua arahan dari tutor tentang langah-langkah cara menyemai bibit kecambah sawit sampai dengan memelihara bibit kecambah sawit dan keterampilan yang didapatkan dari warga belajar sudah bisa menyemai bibit kecambah sawit sampai dengan memelihara bibit kecambah sawit walaupun masih dalam pengawasan bimbingan oleh tutor.

Abstract

Community empowerment is a strategic effort to improve economic welfare, especially for the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) women group. This research examines the implementation of the Pentahelix model in training on processing seafood into dim sum made from mackerel in Malabero Village, Bengkulu City. The Pentahelix model approach involves synergy between government, academics, communities, business people, and the media in supporting sustainable community empowerment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The research results show that this training increases the skills and insight of PKK women in processing marine products into products of high economic value. In addition, the Pentahelix model has proven effective in strengthening collaboration between stakeholders, supporting product marketing via social media, and opening up culinary-based business opportunities. Through training programs, people not only gain new skills but also have the opportunity to improve their welfare through creative food-based businesses. However, program sustainability is still a challenge that requires long-term strengthening and mentoring strategies. This research recommends the need for more adaptive policies and sustainable support so that empowerment based on local potential can provide a more significant economic impact. Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital membuka peluang ekonomi baru bagi pemuda di pedesaan melalui pemasaran afiliasi, namun keterbatasan akses internet dan rendahnya literasi digital menjadi tantangan utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas program sosialisasi pemasaran afiliasi berbasis platform digital yang dilaksanakan di Desa Kembang Ayun, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program sosialisasi mampu meningkatkan pemahaman pemuda desa mengenai konsep dan strategi pemasaran digital. Meskipun demikian, mereka masih menghadapi hambatan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur digital dan kurangnya keterampilan teknis dalam pembuatan konten promosi. Selain itu, motivasi pribadi dan dukungan dari lingkungan sosial terbukti menjadi faktor penting dalam mendorong partisipasi aktif dan keberhasilan awal dalam memperoleh komisi dari aktivitas afiliasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan akses digital, pelatihan lanjutan, dan pembentukan komunitas pendukung sebagai strategi keberlanjutan untuk memperkuat peran pemasaran afiliasi dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi pemuda desa.

Abstract

Empowering rural youth is a vital strategy for sustainable local economic development. This study aims to describe the impact of oyster mushroom cultivation training on youth empowerment in Air Petai Village, Putri Hijau Subdistrict, North Bengkulu Regency. The training was conducted due to the low involvement of youth in productive economic activities, even though oyster mushrooms offer high nutritional value, economic potential, and simple cultivation technology. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The research subjects included youth from the Karang Taruna organization, training facilitators, and village officials. The results showed that the training had a positive impact on improving participants' knowledge, technical skills, and entrepreneurial motivation. Moreover, it fostered collaboration and independence in utilizing local village resources. In conclusion, this training effectively promotes youth empowerment and can be replicated in other rural areas as a strategy for local economic development.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat telah membawa dampak signifikan terhadap kehidupan remaja, terutama dalam penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan. Fenomena ini berkontribusi terhadap berbagai masalah, seperti gangguan kesehatan fisik dan mental, penurunan prestasi akademik, serta berkurangnya interaksi sosial. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran remaja mengenai dampak negatif penggunaan gadget berlebihan serta memberikan strategi yang efektif dalam mengelola penggunaannya secara bijak. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi berbasis edukasi interaktif melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi, serta simulasi digital detox. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, dan melibatkan remaja, orang tua, serta pemangku kepentingan setempat. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap risiko penggunaan gadget berlebihan serta adanya penurunan intensitas penggunaan gadget, terutama dalam durasi harian dan sebelum tidur. Sosialisasi ini mendapatkan respons positif dan direkomendasikan untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut dalam bentuk program literasi digital yang berkelanjutan dengan keterlibatan sekolah dan komunitas.

Abstract

This study aims to respond to stereotypes and discrimination experienced by women who work as housewives. The author responds to this problem by reinterpreting the story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25:2-44. The research method in this paper uses the seeing-through approach. The perspective lens used is the pairan dapo’ concept in Mamasa, West Sulawesi. The author finds that the text of 1 Samuel 25:2-44 describes Abigail as a housewife who does not just stay home and always submits to her husband's orders and decisions. Abigail has the space and role to criticize Nabal's wrong attitudes and actions. Abigail's actions become reflective material for constructing that housewife can play a role in seeking the welfare of their families. This role does not lie in an economic role, but rather wisdom and knowledge of ethical values to criticize her husband and family.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing metacognitive learning on improving students' critical thinking skills in the Identification of Learning Needs course in the Non-Formal Education Study Program, University of Bengkulu. The study used a quasi-experimental method with two groups, namely the experimental group that received metacognitive learning treatment and the control group that used conventional learning. The research subjects consisted of 60 fifth-semester students, with 30 students in each group. Data were collected through a critical thinking ability test that covered aspects of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. The results showed that metacognitive learning had a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills. The average critical thinking ability score of the experimental group (81.7) was higher than that of the control group (64.5) by 17.2 points. The self-regulation aspect experienced the highest increase, indicating that awareness and control of the thinking process are key to successful learning. Thus, the integration of metacognitive strategies is important to implement in learning design in higher education to foster independence, reflection, and higher-order thinking skills that support lifelong learning.    Keywords: Metacognitive Learning, Critical Thinking, Students, Non-Formal Education, Identification of Learning Needs.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has had a significant impact on family parenting patterns, particularly with young children's use of gadgets. Children often experience excessive use of digital devices without supervision, as many parents lack adequate digital literacy skills. This community service activity aims to improve parents' understanding and skills in managing their children's use of gadgets through a natural digital literacy approach. The activity was carried out at PAUD SPNF-SKB, Central Bengkulu Regency, on October 8-22, 2025, involving 26 parents of PAUD students. Participants engaged in hands-on workshops that demonstrated effective strategies for setting boundaries and fostering healthy tech habits. By empowering parents with knowledge, the initiative sought to create a more balanced relationship between children and their digital devices, ultimately enhancing family dynamics and children's overall well-being. The implementation methods included participatory counseling, interactive training, and assistance through home visits and online communication. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in parents' knowledge and attitudes regarding digital parenting. The average score on the pretest was 5.15 (42.9%), and it went up to 10.77 (89.8%) on the posttest. During the training phase, all participants successfully developed a digital family agreement containing rules for gadget use at home, with 77% committing to consistent implementation and 33% planning to implement it gradually. The results of the mentoring showed a decrease in the duration of children's gadget use from an average of 3-4 hours per day to 1-1.5 hours per day, as well as an increase in children's interest in non-digital activities such as reading, drawing, and playing outdoors. In addition, 77% of participants reported an increase in emotional closeness with their children after applying the principles of digital literacy based on human nature. This activity proves that the natural-based digital literacy approach is effective in improving parental competencies in the digital age while strengthening family relationships.
