Abstract

This research aims to analyze children's character education through literacy skills by applying the Six E's approach. The study uses qualitative methods, including unstructured interviews and observations in elementary schools in Bengkulu City. Findings reveal that independent reading literacy for 15 minutes has several weaknesses, such as limited time, unengaging references, and lack of guidance. The study highlights the importance of developing holistic literacy skills, including comprehension, analysis, and text evaluation. The Six E's approach is expected to enhance literacy skills and shape children's character through meaningful text interactions and critical activities. Therefore, it serves as a useful guide for teachers to improve children's literacy quality

Abstract

Kesehatan mental anak usia dini merupakan fondasi penting bagi perkembangan emosional, sosial, dan kognitif mereka di masa depan. Peyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk memberi pemahaman kepada orang tua mengenai pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental anak usia dini serta peran lingkungan keluarga, pendidikan, dan masyarakat dalam proses tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode kajian literatur, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa interaksi positif antara anak dengan orang tua, pola asuh yang penuh kasih sayang, serta lingkungan belajar yang mendukung merupakan faktor utama dalam membangun kesehatan mental yang baik. Sebaliknya, stres, konflik keluarga, dan kurangnya perhatian emosional dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan mental anak.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui evaluasi belajar program kecakapan hidup penanaman kecambah sawit bagi warga belajar paket C (studi kasus PKBM Wira Bhakti Kota Bengkulu). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Tutor kecakapan hidup, Ketua PKBM Wira Bhakti dan warga belajar. Untuk teknik validitas menggunakan trianggulasi waktu, trianggulasi subjek dan trianggulasi teknik dan data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan adanya evaluasi belajar program kecakapan hidup penanaman kecambah sawit. Hal tersebut dibuktikan warga belajar memiliki pengetahuan cara menyemai bibit kecambah sawit sampai dengan memelihara bibit kecambah sawit, sikap warga belajar yang baik mengikuti semua arahan dari tutor tentang langah-langkah cara menyemai bibit kecambah sawit sampai dengan memelihara bibit kecambah sawit dan keterampilan yang didapatkan dari warga belajar sudah bisa menyemai bibit kecambah sawit sampai dengan memelihara bibit kecambah sawit walaupun masih dalam pengawasan bimbingan oleh tutor.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan strategi penting untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kemandirian, terutama di sektor pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pelatihan bercocok tanam yang menggunakan model perencanaan pelatihan Caffarella. Model ini mengintegrasikan tahapan perencanaan yang sistematis, mulai dari analisis kebutuhan, desain program, implementasi, hingga evaluasi, sehingga program pelatihan dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan spesifik masyarakat. Pelatihan ini menerapkan metode ceramah, forum group discussion (FGD), dan demonstrasi untuk memastikan bahwa peserta mendapatkan pengetahuan teoretis sekaligus keterampilan praktis dalam bercocok tanam. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi metode pembelajaran tersebut efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat terkait teknik pertanian yang inovatif dan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, peserta pelatihan mampu mengoptimalkan potensi lokal, meningkatkan hasil pertanian, dan menerapkan teknologi yang sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan mereka. Pelatihan ini juga berperan dalam memperkuat kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat serta meningkatkan ketahanan pangan lokal. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan masyarakat, Pelatihan, Model Cafarella Abstract Community empowerment is an important strategy to increase prosperity and independence, especially in the agricultural sector. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of farming training using the Caffarella training planning model. This model integrates systematic planning stages, starting from needs analysis, program design, implementation, to evaluation, so that training programs can be tailored to the specific needs of the community. This training applies lecture methods, forum group discussions (FGD), and demonstrations to ensure that participants gain theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills in farming. The results of the training show that the combination of learning methods is effective in increasing community understanding and skills regarding innovative and sustainable agricultural techniques. In addition, training participants are able to optimize local potential, increase agricultural yields, and apply technology that is appropriate to their environmental conditions. This training also plays a role in strengthening the community's economic independence and increasing local food security. Keywords: Community empowerment, training, and the caferella model

Abstract

Community empowerment is a strategic effort to improve economic welfare, especially for the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) women group. This research examines the implementation of the Pentahelix model in training on processing seafood into dim sum made from mackerel in Malabero Village, Bengkulu City. The Pentahelix model approach involves synergy between government, academics, communities, business people, and the media in supporting sustainable community empowerment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The research results show that this training increases the skills and insight of PKK women in processing marine products into products of high economic value. In addition, the Pentahelix model has proven effective in strengthening collaboration between stakeholders, supporting product marketing via social media, and opening up culinary-based business opportunities. Through training programs, people not only gain new skills but also have the opportunity to improve their welfare through creative food-based businesses. However, program sustainability is still a challenge that requires long-term strengthening and mentoring strategies. This research recommends the need for more adaptive policies and sustainable support so that empowerment based on local potential can provide a more significant economic impact. Abstract

Empowering rural youth is a vital strategy for sustainable local economic development. This study aims to describe the impact of oyster mushroom cultivation training on youth empowerment in Air Petai Village, Putri Hijau Subdistrict, North Bengkulu Regency. The training was conducted due to the low involvement of youth in productive economic activities, even though oyster mushrooms offer high nutritional value, economic potential, and simple cultivation technology. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The research subjects included youth from the Karang Taruna organization, training facilitators, and village officials. The results showed that the training had a positive impact on improving participants' knowledge, technical skills, and entrepreneurial motivation. Moreover, it fostered collaboration and independence in utilizing local village resources. In conclusion, this training effectively promotes youth empowerment and can be replicated in other rural areas as a strategy for local economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in mobilizing the community to actively participate in the development and management of Trokon River tourism in Cawang Lama Village, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu. The research technique used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that POKDARWIS implements a community empowerment strategy through tour guide training, lodging management, local product processing, and the formation of community-based business groups. Although this strategy has received community support, challenges remain, especially in terms of understanding the concept of sustainable tourism and limited infrastructure. For this reason, POKDARWIS collaborates with the community and ensures the sustainability of tourism. This study concludes that community participation is very important in the development of tourism based on local wisdom, and that collaborative and participatory mobilization strategies are the key to its success.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of leadership in developing an excellent vocational training institution (LPK) in Bengkulu City. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of this study show the role of leadership in developing vocational training institutions in Bengkulu City. First, it describes the functions of leadership, namely the leader as the decision maker, as the spokesperson for the organization, as an effective communicator, as a mediator, and as an integrator. Second, it describes the characteristics of transformational leadership style, namely leaders who set an example, encourage subordinates' performance, harmonize the work environment, empower subordinates, and are able to deal with difficult situations. Third, it describes the main components of transformational leadership, namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration. These components complement each other in forming an effective leadership style, encouraging followers to reach their maximum potential, creating an inspiring vision, encouraging creativity, and paying attention to individual needs and development on a personal level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the extent of the impact of bridal makeup training on entrepreneurial skills at the Learning Activity Center (SKB) in South Bengkulu. This study is a mixed method with a convergent parallel design approach. The population in this study consists of participants in the bridal makeup training program at the SKB in South Bengkulu, with a sample size of 20 individuals. The sampling technique was conducted quantitatively using saturated sampling with 20 participants and qualitatively using purposive sampling with 5 participants. Instrument validation was performed by experts. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observations, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics with percentage formulas, normality tests, and simple linear regression hypothesis tests. Data was collected through written questionnaires and interviews. The research results indicate that the influence of bridal makeup training on entrepreneurial skills is 85% based on the coefficient of determination test. This is supported by the results of bridal makeup training, which have an impact on participants' entrepreneurial skills, as evidenced by the interview results, where after participating in bridal makeup training, participants acquired makeup skills and started businesses independently or in groups in the field of makeup.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the supporting factors for learning strategies in laying hen vocational skills for social welfare service users (PPKS) at the Dharma Guna Center in Bengkulu. Data collection techniques using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was ensured using technique triangulation, source triangulation, and time triangulation. The research results show that the supporting factors for the learning strategy in laying hen vocational skills at the Dharma Guna center are the healthy physical condition of the PPKS, enabling them to participate in laying hen vocational skills activities, and external factors such as the competence of instructors in the field of animal husbandry, which affects the smooth running of learning, good interaction between managers, instructors, and PPKS, family support in the form of providing motivation to PPKS to encourage them to participate enthusiastically in skills activities, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and sufficient funding for the smooth running of the laying hen vocational skills program.
