Abstract

This study aims to identify critical factors contributing to defects in Epodion rh-Erythropoietin Alfa syringes and propose strategies to minimize production flaws. Through Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA), the research identified cracking as the predominant defect, accounting for 43 out of 62 observed syringe flaws in a production batch of 162,332 units. The Risk Priority Number (RPN) calculation yielded a score of 162, indicating material-related issues as the primary concern. Consequently, the study recommends stringent quality testing of raw materials to enhance material strength and diminish product defects, thereby bolstering overall manufacturing quality. Highlights : The study aimed to investigate factors contributing to defective Epodion® rh-Erythropoietin Alfa syringes, with a focus on reducing cracks during manufacturing. A Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) approach was used to identify the primary causes of failure, revealing cracking as the predominant issue affecting 43% of defective units. Enhanced quality control measures for raw materials prior to their utilization within the production process were recommended to minimize product defects. Abstract

UD. Jaya Collection mengalami berbagai masalah, termasuk kecacatan produk yang diduga karena kurangnya pengendalian kualitas dalam proses produksinya. Kecacatan mencapai 24 pcs (9%) pada Juni, 26 pcs (9%) pada Juli, dan 22 pcs (8%) pada Agustus. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui penyebab kecacatan produk tas wanita dan memberikan usulan perbaikan dan mengetahui cara untuk mengendalikan kecacatan pada kualitas produk. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu seven tools dan kaizen. Seven tools adalah seperangkat alat dasar untuk menguji kualitas yang bisa mendukung perusahaan guna mengatasi masalah dan meningkatkan proses. Alat-alat ini penting untuk kemajuan setiap organisasi menuju keunggulan. Teknik analisis seven tools mencakup analisis flow chart, check sheet, histogram, scatter diagram, diagram pareto, control chart, dan fishbone. Alat-alat implementasi kaizen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Kaizen Five – M Checklist adalah sebuah alat yang fokus pada lima elemen kunci dalam setiap proses, yaitu manusia, metode, mesin, material, dan lingkungan. Five Step Plan ini adalah suatu metode dalam pelaksanaan Kaizen yang sering digunakan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan di Jepang. Langkah-langkah ini dikenal dengan 5-S, yang diambil dari kata-kata dalam bahasa Jepang, yaitu seiri (pemilahan), seiso (penataan), seiton (kebersihan), seiketsu (pemeliharaan), dan shitsuke (pembiasaan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecacatan tertinggi pada November 41 dari 412 pcs dan terendah pada September 25 dari 265 pcs. Jenis kecacatan antara lain jahitan tidak rapi 28 pcs, resleting rusak 24 pcs, lem kurang menempel 25 pcs, kain berjamur 19 pcs. Untuk perbaikannya dibutuhkan peningkatan keterampilan pekerja, perawatan mesin, penanganan material, SOP, dan kondisi kerja. Berdasarkan metode Kaizen, sebagai usulan perbaikan dapat melakukan : Five M Checklist, 5S, fokus pada pengawasan, pelatihan, perawatan mesin, material, SOP, dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini dapat dilanjutkan dengan menggali faktor lain yang menimbulkan kecacatan produk.

Abstract

A company engaged in the slaughterhouse of boiler chickens and one of its products is griller, which is chicken that is cut in a halal manner and packaged in the form of a whole carcass. Based on daily reports, the number of defects found in griller products shows a percentage of up to 30%. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of defects found in grillers so that alternative improvements can be determined. This research uses the Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify the most dominant types of defects in the product and find the causes. The highest defects from the FMEA results are processed by the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method to provide improvement proposals so as to reduce the number of existing defects. The results of this study show that the most dominant type of defect is feathers remaining on the carcass with the highest RPN value of 175. The defect of feathers still remaining on the carcass is caused by workers who do not follow the SOP correctly, the changing size of raw materials, and rubber. The plucking machine is worn and loose, the settings of the plucking machine are loose, the temperature of the scalder tends to drop, the inspection in the process is not correct, there is no information on how to operate the machine, the raw materials are not uniform, and the working environment temperature is high and noisy.

Abstract

Garbage is a problem for the community and the government. Moreover, according to data from KLH (2021) more than 50% of the total garbage in the community are household waste, because majority of the waste is remnants of daily activities. In addition to having an environmental impact, waste aesthetically reduces beauty and affects health with the appearance and smell it causes. To minimize the impact of waste, there must be some kind of activities to manage waste such as reducing and handling the produced waste. The problem faced by PKK women in Kajartengguli Village is how to manage and handle household waste which is increasing day by day, especially non-organic waste that cannot be decomposed. Which, all this time, the garbage was burned. This situation causes the environment to become less clean and tends to be underestimated. This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and socialization to the community about waste and its management to provide benefits such as increasing income by managing non-organic waste. The method is to conduct socialization related to waste and its use, provide counseling and assistance in managing non-organic waste into products that can be sold. This outreach and counseling was carried out through PKK Women in Kajartengguli Village by bringing in expert from the waste management staff of the Sidoarjo Regency Environmental Agency. The results of this activities showed that PKK women responded well in dealing with the waste generated. In addition, the level of understanding of the 3Rs, namely reduce, reuse and recycle has increased.

Abstract

The occurrence of various risks that are intentional or non-intentional in the sugarcane planting process affect the quality of sugarcane. In addition to affecting the quality, the higher the risk that arises, it also causes the productivity of sugarcane to decrease. Although the sugar factory has provided counseling and assistance to sugarcane farmers, the different characters and conditions of the soil and the environment resulting in risks during the sugarcane planting process that are still high. The decline in quality and productivity was reported in several magazines such as Tempo, Hortus, and Kominfo as indicated by data on the decline in sugarcane yields since August 2016. The yield decreased from 6.5% to 5.7% to 5.8%, this decrease affecting farmers' incomes. This study aims to determine what factors trigger the emergence of risk during the planting process that causes the quality and productivity of sugarcane to decline. The method used in this research is depth interview. Initial information is obtained from sugarcane farmers and managers about the factors that triggers the emergence of risk during the sugarcane planting process. The results of this study founds that several risk factors can be occurred during the planting period, including risks due to soil structure, lack of fertilizer, pest attacks, delays in the klentek process, lack of water supply, and land fires.

Abstract

Every household produces food waste. Based on data from the DKLH Sidoarjo (2021), the people of Sidoarjo produce 2,400 tons of household waste everyday. Although 116 TPST have been provided, only 600tons of waste per day can be managed properly. Most of the waste consists of leftover food and vegetables from household waste. Therefore, this study aims to determine the factors that influence the emergence of food waste so that it affects the pile of garbage in Sidoarjo. The method used is a dynamic system. System dynamics can help to find the couse and effect of the main problem widely because System dynamics is a method used to describe, model, and simulate a dynamic system (over time and changing). Yhe research area that examines the incidence of household food waste is carried out at the Gedangan TPS. In Gedangan TPS, there are 3 areas that affect the emergence of food waste, namely Gedangan Village, Calukan Hamlet RW 5, Congkop RW 2. The area selection in Gedangan Village is due to the number of households that are more than other Sidoarjo areas and in a day food waste enters the area. TPS Gedangan as much as 2,014 Kg. All food waste in the Gedangan TPS is immediately disposed of the Jabon TPA without processing it first. The results of this study that the most influential factors are population, number of deaths, urbanization, cooking process, people’s culture of disposing planning, inventory planning, serving portions.

Abstract

PT Inti Dragon Suryatama is engaged in the shoe and sandal manufacturing industry. Judging from the workstations and the placement of machines that are 3 to 5 metres apart, even though only a few people pass through, thus causing interference with the flow of the process because it takes a long time, so that the production site is not optimal. In the production department there is also a buildup of materials, moving materials too far from the production area to the packing department. This research aims to reduce the distance between departments. The method that will be used to redesign the factory layout is the systematic layout planning (SLP) method and blocplan. The results of this study obtained a change in distance in the proximity of each department, the initial distance of 45.7 metres to 33.5 metres, then the efficiency of using the blocplan algorithm is 26%.

Abstract

Persaingan antar perusahaan tidak mencakup kawasan regional dan global, oleh karena itu setiap perusahaan berlomba untuk terus menerus mencari usaha dan cara untuk mampu bersaing dan memiliki keunggulan kompetitif agar tetap hidup dan berkembang. Inilah globalisasi dan akibatnya dalam persaingan. Persaingan ini harus di dukung oleh kelancaran proses produksi dalam perusahan itu sendiri. Ranked position weigth (RPW) merupakan proses mengidentifikasi kegagalan dalam suatu proses produksi dan menetukan bobot-bobot dari proses produksi. Penentuan dari beberapa komponen yaitu dengan menetukan waktu baku , waktu normal, dan waktu siklus. Setelah ketiga komponen tersebut di hitung dan di tentukan bobot-bobot dari masing-masing proses, maka dengan mengunakan metode rpw ini di dapatkan hasil yang semula dalam proses produksi membutuhkan 20 operator dan output 700 pairs per shift dengan jumlah 24 stasiun , setelah di hitung dengan rpw maka mendapatkan jumlah yang sangat berbeda dari proses sebelumya yaitu operator hanya membutuhkan 13 dan dengan menghasilkan output yang sama yaitu 700 pairs per shift. Abstract

Storage system in the manufacturing industry in this modern era is a very important role especially international scale company, may not directly produce or distribute all of the work unit. this led to the need for raw materials warehouse, warehouse storage systems should not be large in size because if supported by a good inventory of the warehouse to the maximum utilization of the problems faced by the company occurred in the warehouse of raw materials (raw materials). deficiencies in the arrangement of items in the warehouse procedures cause problems in the warehouse, so the warehouse impressed narrow and less structured cause inefficiencies time retrieval and storage of materials, as well as complicate the operator in handling the placement process raw materials. In the method of shared storage and rail space (relationchip chart) for the relationship between activity is indicated by activity relationship approach, which shows each activity as a single activity model in the form of a diagram. Abstract

PT. XYZ constitute a business that move in sector of food in particular of Dry Noodle and Instan Noodle in Jl.Raya Suko KM3 Sidoarjo. In a build C of production that have three line machine of production and have one location warehouse baggage so that eventually Output from the three line machine will be saving in one warehouse the name is Finished Product Warehouse. Placement of the finished product that not organized well, make a build of production become not efficient. Layout is a main base in a industrial world. Plant layout or facilities layout can be defined as ordinances pengauran a facilities of factory to support the fluency. The purpose from this research is to give an suggestion to repair of layout about location of the finished product in a build C of production. In this research use ARC ( Activity Relation Chart ) method. ARC is an method or a simple technical in a planning of layout facility or ministry be based on the degree of relationship activities with qualitative assessment and inclined be based on opinions which is subjective from each facilities or ministry and method ( Shared Storage ). Shared storage is an method of preparation of the storage area be based on warehouse floor area condotions. As for the expected results from this research is can give an suggestion to repair of layout placement of the finished product that less ordinances well. As the result fro this research is the layout suggestion have value greater storage capacity from the initial layout with a capacity of 61 area, meanwhile for the initia capacity have value smaller as many as 44 storage area. In shared storage method the total value mileage on products A,B,C with initial layout is 142.376 m. meanwhile on suggestion of layout there are a total mileage is 94,952 m with a difference 47,424 m from distance of initial layout.Keywords: Layout, Transit Warehouse, ARC, Shared Storage
