Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar Fisika Matematika dengan memberi keleluasaan kepada mahasiswa dalam memilih tipe belajar yang diminati agar dapat memacu mahasiswa mampu belajar secara mandiri. Model Self Regulated Learning (SRL) dipilih karena dinilai memuat uraian tugas dan kewajiban dosen dan mahasiswa untuk mencapai tujuan ini. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester genap 2010/2011 yang mengambil mata kuliah Fisika Matematika 1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menggunakan metode penelitian research and development ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan capaian prestasi belajar yang cukup signifikan. Peningkatan persepsi diri mahasiswa tentang pemahaman materi Fisika Matematika 1 serta capaian rata-rata yang masuk dalam kategori B menggambarkan keefektifan metode ini. Masih ada beberapa mahasiswa yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian dengan perbaikan yang berkelanjutan baik dari segi konten, sajian, maupun proses pembelajaran.The research aimed to increase the students’ motivation in learning Mathematical Physics by choosing their own type of study in order to challenge them to study autonomy. Self Regulated Learning (SRL) model is chosen since the model provides the role for teacher and learner to reach the learning goal. This research has been done to the students who taken Mathematical Physics 1 in even semester of academic year of 2010/2011. Based on the result using research and development methodology, it can be concluded that there is a quite significant gain of students’ understanding of Mathematical Physics 1 concepts. The increase of students’ self perception of material understanding of Mathematical Physics 1 and the average of achievement categorized as B shows the effectiveness of the method.  There are some students who still need to be concerned by continuing their improvement in learning content as well as the learning process.

Abstract

Hasil belajar mata kuliah optik selama semester gasal 2005/2006 kurang menunjukkan capaian yang maksimal, mahasiswa masihkurang menunjukkan sikap aktif dan mandiri dalam belajar. Sejumlah temuan mengindikasikan bahwa mahasiswa malas mengerjakantugas dan tidak mempersiapkan diri menghadapi perkuliahan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi tersebut peneliti berupaya untukmeningkatkan mutu pembelajaran agar dapat menumbuhkan kemauan mahasiswa untuk belajar mandiri dan aktif di kelassehingga dapat meningkatkan capaian hasil belajar mata kuliah optik. Model pembelajaran Self Regulated Learning paling sesuaiuntuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini karena model ini memberi kesempatan mahasiswa untuk mengeksplorasi diri danmengarahkan ma-hasiswa untuk belajar secara mandiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kebebasan memilihteman dalam kelompok dan memilih pola belajar sesuai dengan minatnya ternyata memberi kenyamanan belajar dan motivasiberkompetisi yang positif sehingga capaian belajarnya lebih baik. Learning achievement of optics subject during odd semester of 2005/2006 showed that students achievement was not maximal.The students were inactive and did not have self learning attitude. Several findings indicated that the students were lazy in doing theassignment and did not have preparation in facing the lesson. Based on the above evaluation, the researchers have an effort toincrease the quality of the lesson in order to grow students will to be active and have self learning attitude, which in turn canincrease their achievement on optics subject. Self Regulated Learning model is the most suitable model to be applied for solving theproblem. It is because this model gives students a chance to explore and direct themselves to be able to have self learning attitude.The result shows that the opportunity to choose friend in a group and learning pattern suitable with the students interest givestudents enjoyable learning and motivation to compete positively leading to get better achievement.

Abstract

Model Thomas-Fermi-Dirac-von Weizsacker merupakan perluasan dari model Thomas-Fermi dengan menambahkan koreksi suku exchange dan koreksi gradien energi kinetik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Langsung (Direct Methods). Penerapan metode ini dalam Teori Fungsional Densitas berarti bahwa profil densitas pada keadaan dasar dapat diperoleh secara langsung melalui analisis fungsional energi sistem terkait, tanpa menyentuh persamaan Euler-Lagrange, seperti yang sudah biasa dilakukan. Penerapan pada kristal NaCl menghasilkan gambaran batas atas minimizer yang berupa suatu fungsi sehingga disebut sebagai fungsi payung.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sangat ditekankan dalam pembelajaran kurikulum 2013.  Saat ini instrumen penilaian harus bisa mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Salah satu instrumen yang dapat mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi adalah two tier multiple choice test. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis instrumen two tier multiple choice yang dikembangkan dan profil kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi materi konsep dan fenomena kuantum siswa SMA di Kabupaten Cilacap. Penelitian ini dilakukan di tiga sekolah yaitu SMA Negeri 1 Cilacap sebagai sampel grade tinggi, SMA Negeri 1 Kroya sebagai sampel grade sedang dan SMA Negeri 1 Binangun sebagai sampel grade rendah. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes two tier multiple choice dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dikembangkan sangat layak dan reliabel. Profil kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMA di Kabupaten Cilacap materi konsep dan fenomena kuantum termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan skor 8,45 dari skor maksimal 30.     High order thinking skills is very emphasized in 2013 Curriculum learning. Nowadays, the assesment must measure student’s high order thinking skills. One of the assesment can measure student’s high order thinking skills is two tier multiple choice test. The goal of this research is analyse the two tier multiple choice test that have been developed and the profile of Senior High School Student’s High Order Thinking Skills using Two Tier Multiple Choice Test on Quantum Concept and Phenomenon in Cilacap. This research have been done in three schools. They were SMA Negeri 1 Cilacap as the highest grade sample, SMA Negeri 1 Kroya as middle grade sample and SMA Negeri 1 Binangun as the lowest grade sample. This research used descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach. Collecting data technique used two tier multiple choice test and interview. The research result show that the instrument which have been developed was claimed worth and reliable. The profile of senior high school student’s high order thinking skills quantum concept and phenomenon in Cilacap regency is categoryzed low. The score was 8,45 from the maximum score 30

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the creativity and students' scientific thinking skills in guided inquiry learning. This research is a pre-experimental research design type One-Shot Case Study. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods used are observation and questionnaire methods. The instruments used in this study were creative attitude questionnaires, project product creativity assessment sheets, and scientific thinking skills assessment sheets. Data analysis was performed using a percentage formula. The results show that students 'creativity included in the high category and students' scientific thinking skills included in good category

Abstract

     This research aims to revealing profile of science process skills, profile of questions, and structure of conceptual presentation in physics textbooks on the subject of optical tools. The research method used is descriptive analysis with a quantitative-qualitative approach. Sample of this research are two physics textbooks based on the 2013 Curiculum those widely used as learning resources in Cilacap district. The results showed that both textbooks on the subject of optical tools more present aspects of basic science process skills than integrated science process skills. The percentage aspects of basic science process skills is 72,88% for book A and 87,32% for book B. Questions are more dominant to train students at the level application (C3) with percentage 66,67% for book A and 71,37% for book B. The structure of presentation of the concept in book A prepared directly on the discussion of optical tools, whereas in book B is explained about reflection and refraction firstly, then review the material of optical tools.

Abstract

Some of Physics Science material in Junior High School are abstract so that sometimes students find difficulties in understanding them because there is no clear visualization of the material. Those things can be overcome by using a learning media. Scrapbook is a craft that contains images and a little narration which can help teachers in explaining some of the Physics Science material that requires a good visualization. This study aimed to develop scrapbook learning media and find out the effect of the learning media on students' material understanding. The method that was used in this research was Research & Development (R & D). The sample of this study were 27 students of VIIC class of SMP Negeri 1 Sigaluh using pretest-posttest and feasibility questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used t-test to see the difference between students? learning result before and after the use of scrapbook as a media in the learning activities. Moreover, an N-gain test was also performed to calculate the amount of increase that was occured. The results of this study showed that scrapbook learning media did not only emphasize on the clear and interesting images, but also provided enough materials so that the media can be used for independent learning. The results of the feasibility test by material experts and media experts obtained an average score of 91.26% with a very feasible category. Scrapbook media was able to give an influence to the enhancement of students? material understanding by obtaining an N-gain value of 0.54 with a medium category.

Abstract

All types of selection test for state universities are accompanied by intense competition levels. SBMPTN is one of this test that provides the highest quota of prospective students. Some questions tested require high order thinking skills while students are accustomed to work on low order thinking skills on their high school. The challenge for students is the students have to know the type of questions tested in SBMPTN and accustomed to work the kind of questions. This study aimed to find out the cognitive level classification in SBMPTN physics problems based on revised Bloom?s taxonomy and characteristics of SBMPTN physics problems based on indicator of critical thinking skill and problem solving skills. This study was qualitative research using SBMPTN physics problems code 402 in 2018, as its subject. The result of this study showed that in 2018 there were 73.33% SBMPTN physics questions included HOTS categories.  In addition, it obtained that in 2018, SBMPTN physics problems contained critical thinking skills of 80%. Furthermore, the availability of problem solving skill?s indicators in the SBMPTN physics question was found to be 60%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify concept mastery and scientific literacy capability of senior high school students. This study used quantitative-qualitative mix method. This study was conducted at senior high school students of 1 Kudus. The subjects of this study were 12th grade student who have received all the subject matter of physics. The instruments of this study were concept-based and scientific literacy-based multiple choice test accompanied by the reason. The level of concept mastery and scientific literacy capability of students was analyzed through the appropriateness of the choice of answers with the reasons. The results shows that the lowest level of concept mastery and scientific literacy capability of senior high school students is item Graduate Competence Standards (GCS) 3 about heat and thermodynamics. From the results can be conclude that concept mastery influences the students' scientific literacy capability

Abstract

The use of learning applications is currently increasing from year to year. Learning applications are considered useful in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, which integrates digital technology. Learning applications that are currently widely used are learning applications using Android-based smartphones. It needs to be seen to what extent the Android-based science learning application has been implemented. Systematic literature review analysis is used to determine the similarities and differences in the journals under review, such as the research objectives, the methodology chosen, and the study's findings. According to keywords, articles are selected through sources from several journals such as ERIC, Elsevier, IJSE, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The keywords used in the search are android-based learning applications. Search is limited to the period 2016 to 2020. A total of 30 articles have been analyzed based on the systematic literature review steps, including compiling questions, searching, reading titles, abstracts and content, and filtering information from selected articles. Based on the review conducted, it can be concluded that the Android-based science learning application is necessary and essential to be applied and developed. Learning applications have many benefits, including increasing interest in learning, motivation, learning outcomes, learning independence, and understanding concepts.
