Abstract

Considering the development of the digital era, all information and news can easily accessible anywhere. However, it is not impossible that the information disseminated is not only good news, but also a lot of fake news spreads very rapidly. The role of Public Relation in these cases in disseminating news is by collaborating with the media. Publicity that applied by Public Relation to build positive image if institution through media relation is applied in various sectors, one of them is the maritime and fisheries sector. The NTB Maritime and Fisheries Office, which shade the maritime and fisheries sector in NTB, has been conducting media relation with the press for more than ten years. In the implementation of media relations, there are strategies carried out including by serving the media, by supplying good copy, by building personal relationship with the media, by establishing a reputation for reliability, by cooperation in providing the material, and by verification facilities. Then the NTB Maritime and Fisheries Office has media relation activities with the journalist include press conference, reception press, radio talk shows and electronic talk shows, media events, and press release.

Abstract

Banyak potensi yang dimiliki oleh kampung coklat salah satunya yaitu mampu mengelola coklat sampai siap konsumsi, sangat mungkin untuk mengembangkan hasil produksi coklat agar lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat luas tidak hanya di NTB. Namun kenyataannya, semenjak pandemi covid 19 pada tahun 2019 hingga saat ini kampung coklat masi sepi pengunjung. Fakta ini menyiratkan bahwa adanya perubahan perilaku konsumen dalam mengkonsumsi produk selama pandemi hingga saat ini pasca pandemi. Konsumen cenderung lebih senang dengan keberadaan metode pemasaran baru yang berbasis digital. Namun beberapa dari sosial media tidak memiliki informasi pesan yang update dan menarik sehingga perlu adanya pengelolaan yang baik terhadap media sosial milik kampung coklat . Hal ini bertujuan untuk memastikan kredibilitas pesan informasi yang ingin disampaikan melalui komunikasi pemasaran digital. Serta beberapa hal yang bersifat teknis seperti menciptakan fitur dalam media sosial, menciptakan cerita (story) mengenai produk dan jasa yang ditawarkan oleh pihak kampung coklat. Keseluruhan hal ini haruslah menjadi perhatian saat menerapkan komunikasi pemasaran digital. Oleh sebab itu pelatihan mengenai penerapan komunikasi pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan produksi dan penjualan coklat sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan pada komunitas pengelola coklat di Kampung coklat telah menghasilkan beberapa luaran, diantaranya: adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap komunikasi pemasaran secara digital. Serta cara untuk mewujudkan komunikasi pemasaran tersebut dengan memahami alur pemasaran dan cara membangun pemasaran secara digital.

Abstract

The continuity of traditional practices remains preserved today, especially in North Lombok Regency, NTB. One such tradition is "memuja," held annually by the indigenous community. This tradition aims to maintain water springs and preserve the environment, particularly in response to climate change impacts. Concerns over seasonal anomalies motivate the community to sustain this practice as an adaptive strategy. Understanding communication network patterns in this tradition is crucial, as similar government programs often lack sustainability, unlike memuja, which is voluntarily maintained. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through FGDs and in-depth interviews. The findings indicate: (1) The communication network pattern in memuja is depicted through a sociogram, identifying roles such as opinion leaders, bridges, and isolated individuals, but no liaison officers or cosmopolites were found; (2) Efforts to enhance community understanding of climate change as an adaptive strategy through memuja include climate literacy, attitudes, self-efficacy, and environmental behaviors. This tradition represents a vital adaptation strategy in addressing climate change challenges.

Abstract

The tradition of memaos lontar (reading lontar) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is a cultural heritage preserved by indigenous communities for generations. This tradition aims to safeguard culture through chanted lontar manuscripts, which contain valuable information about various aspects of life. A significant challenge is the language complexity, which is difficult for those without direct lineage to the manuscript's authors. However, periodic memaos activities provide a solution to this issue while fostering interactions as a form of ritual communication. This perspective highlights that ritual communication plays a role in creating, transforming, and replacing shared culture. A qualitative descriptive study with FGD revealed two main findings: (1) ritual communication in the memaos tradition encompasses dimensions of process, meaning, and communication patterns; and (2) efforts to preserve the tradition include successor regeneration and group communication to enhance interaction among pepaos.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital media has created strategic oppurtunities for governments to build and enhance their image in the publik eye. This study explores the utilization of digital mediaby the Public Information and Communication Management Division (PIKP) of the North Lombok Regency Communications and Informatics Office in an effort to improve the government’s public image. Employing a qualitative case-study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model-comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing-and the realiability of findings was verified through data triangulation. The results indicate that PIKP leverages digital media as 1. A tool for branding and image enhancement, 2. A channel for disseminating information, 3 an instrument for essesing public needs, 4.a means of media relations. And, 5.a platform for delivering public services in the digital realm. While these efforts have led to a significant improvement in the vovernment’s image, full potential has not yet been realized duo to limitations in skilled human resources and inadequate supporting insfratructure. The study recommends strengthening human-resource capacity and upgrading digital insfratructure to optimize the benefits of digital media in supporting government image. Abstract

Mapping ASEAN Research Trends on Digital Parenting and Digital Literacy. Objectives: This study aims to map research trends on digital parenting and digital literacy in the ASEAN region during 2020–2024, identifying publication growth patterns, leading contributors, dominant themes, and existing research gaps.  Methods: A bibliometric approach was employed to analyze documents retrieved from the Scopus database, focusing on publications addressing parental roles, digital literacy, and children's education. Data were processed using Biblioshiny and VOSviewer to examine publication types, author collaboration, geographic distribution, and keyword co-occurrence for thematic mapping. Findings: A total of 387 documents were analyzed based on annual growth, types of publications, author collaboration, geographical distribution, frequently occurring keywords, and the most highly cited articles. The findings indicate a significant increase in the number of publications, particularly in 2024. Indonesia emerged as the leading contributor, followed by Malaysia and Thailand. Keyword analysis revealed that terms such as digital literacy, students, e-learning, and media literacy dominated the literature. Keyword analysis showed an early dominance of digital literacy (344 occurrences), students (43), and e-learning (36), later shifting to media literacy (17), disinformation, and fake news, indicating a shift from technical online learning topics to important digital parenting issues. Despite the positive growth, international collaboration and systematic review publications remain limited. Conclusion: This study provides insights into the thematic evolution and identifies research gaps in the ASEAN region, highlighting the need for specific actions such as establishing ASEAN-wide research networks, developing culturally adapted parental digital literacy training, and promoting collaborative systematic reviews to strengthen evidence-based policies. These findings are expected to provide a foundation for creating a sustainable family digital literacy ecosystem in the digital transformation era.Keywords: digital parenting, digital literacy, media literacy, ASEAN.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Instagram social media account @gomandalika, managed by the Tourism Office of Central Lombok Regency, in promoting tourism. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, as well as observation and documentation analysis. The theoretical framework used is the Marketing Communication Theory, specifically the AISAS model (Attention, Interest, Search, Action, Share). The results indicate that the @gomandalika Instagram account plays a significant role as an effective strategic tool for tourism promotion in Central Lombok. The result indicate found that the account successfully attracts attention and interest through engaging visual content, drives users to seek more information and take action by visiting tourist destinations, and encourages sharing of experiences, thereby expanding the reach of promotion. The findings highlight the importance of high-quality visual content, relevant information, and interactive features in influencing tourist decisions and building a positive image for Central Lombok tourism. This study recommends enhancing content quality and interaction to further optimize the account's role in tourism promotion.   Keywords: Social Media Role, Instagram, Tourism Promotion, Central Lombok, AISAS Model.

Abstract

Penelitian "Komunikasi Ritual pada Prosesi Adat Memarek sebagai bentuk adopsi budaya bali di kabupaten lombok utara" memiliki sasaran untuk meneliti makna dari komunikasi ritual serta simbol yang ada di dalam tradisi Memarek yang merupakan bentuk dari salah satu akulturasi budaya bali yaitu ritual metatah. Ritual ini dilakukan untuk mengungkapkan rasa syukur, doa untuk keselamatan, dan permohonan berkah terkhusus bagi anak perempuan yang akan menginjak dewasa. Walaupun terdapat perbedaan kepercayaan di kalangan masyarakat namun tradisi ini dapat bertahan hingga saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teori interaksi simbolik untuk memahami makna dari simbol dan interaksi sosial dalam setiap tahapan proses ritual yang dilaksanakan. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan melalui wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok (FGD) dengan mengundang beberapa tokoh adat, masyarakat dan beberapa pihak yang terlibat dalam tradisi terkait di Desa Tegal maja, Dusun Leong Timur, Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Selain itu untuk menganalisis data digunakan metode Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri atas reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Terdapat proses adopsi budaya pada prosesi tradisi mengasah gigi yang merupakan salah satu rangkaian tradisi memarek. Tradisi mengasah gigi sangat lekat dengan budaya bali yaitu (2) Adopsi budaya yang terjadi dianalisis menggunakan teori akulturasi budaya dan teridentifikasi dengan strategi integrasi budaya. (3) Komunikasi ritual pada proses integrasi budaya, terdapat 3 hal yang menjadi perhatian penelitian yaitu (a) persilangan unsur budaya (tradisi dan ritual), (b) proses ritual,  (C) proses interaksi. Ritual Communication in the Memarek Traditional Procession as a Form of Balinese Cultural Adoption in North Lombok Regency Abstract The research "Ritual Communication in the Memarek Traditional Procession as a form of Balinese cultural adoption in North Lombok Regency" aims to examine the meaning of ritual communication and symbols in the Memarek tradition, which is a form of Balinese cultural acculturation, namely the metatah ritual. This ritual is carried out to express gratitude, prayers for safety, and requests for blessings, especially for girls who are about to reach adulthood. Although there are differences in beliefs among the community, this tradition can survive until now. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach method with symbolic interaction theory to understand the meaning of symbols and social interactions in each stage of the ritual process carried out. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) by inviting several traditional leaders, the community and several parties involved in related traditions in Tegal Maja Village, Leong timur Hamlet, North Lombok Regency. In addition, to analyze the data, the Miles and Huberman method was used, consisting of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are (1) There is a process of cultural adoption in the tooth sharpening tradition procession which is one of the series of the marek tradition. The tradition of sharpening teeth is closely linked to Balinese culture, namely (2) The cultural adoption that occurs is analyzed using the theory of cultural acculturation and identified with cultural integration strategies. (3) Ritual communication in the cultural integration process, there are 3 things that are the focus of research, namely (a) the intersection of cultural elements (tradition and ritual), (b) the ritual process, (c) the interaction process.
