Abstract

Pola asuh orang tua merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi motivasi belajar anak. Terkait hal tersebut, bimbingan dan didikan dari orang tua akan mempengaruhi motivasi belajar anak, yang pada akhirnya menjadi salah satu penentu keberhasilan belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua pada siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar matematika tinggi di kelas 8 SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan instrumen penelitian berbentuk angket dan wawancara. Subyek penelitian yaitu 38 siswa kelas 8A dengan fokus 5 siswa pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Tambun Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 5 siswa yang mempunyai tingkat motivasi belajar matematika kategori tinggi, terdapat 3 orang tua yang menggunakan tipe pola asuh demokratis dan terdapat 2 orang tua yang menggunakan tipe pola asuh permisif. Kedua pola asuh tersebut dapat digunakan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar matematika yang tinggi pada siswa. This study aims to determine how parenting styles are applied by parents to have high motivation to learn mathematics in grade 8 junior high school. This research used descriptive analysis method and the research instrument used questionnaires and interviews. The research subjects were 38 students of grade 8A with a focus of 5 students in one of the public junior high schools in Tambun Selatan. The results of the study from 5 students who had a high level of motivation to learn mathematics showed that 3 parents used the democratic parenting type and there were 2 parents who used the permissive parenting type. Both parenting patterns can be used to grow students' high motivation to learn mathematics.

Abstract

This study analyzes the mathematical literacy level of junior high school students based on Bloom's Taxonomy cognitive levels, motivated by the low achievement of Indonesian students in PISA 2023. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study involved 30 seventh-grade students of SMPIT Al-Arobi through essay tests and structured interviews. The results showed 43% of students at the low level (D), 7% at very low (E), and only 20% reached the excellent level (A). In-depth analysis of three subjects (BL, AAB, FT) revealed disparities in ability: BL (level C5-C6) is capable of complex analysis and mathematical modeling, while AAB (C3) and FT (C1-C2) are limited to procedural applications and basic understanding. These findings confirm that the procedural learning approach and the lack of contextual problem practice are the main inhibiting factors. This study provides an important contribution in the development of complex problem-based mathematics learning models to improve students' Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat literasi matematis siswa SMP berdasarkan level kognitif Taksonomi Bloom, dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya capaian siswa Indonesia dalam PISA 2023. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian melibatkan 30 siswa kelas VII SMPIT Al-Arobi melalui tes esai dan wawancara terstruktur. Hasil menunjukkan 43% siswa pada level rendah (D), 7% sangat rendah (E), dan hanya 20% mencapai level sangat baik (A). Analisis mendalam terhadap tiga subjek (BL, AAB, FT) mengungkap disparitas kemampuan: BL (level C5-C6) mampu analisis kompleks dan pemodelan matematis, sementara AAB (C3) dan FT (C1-C2) terbatas pada aplikasi prosedural dan pemahaman dasar. Temuan ini mengkonfirmasi bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran prosedural dan kurangnya latihan soal kontekstual menjadi faktor penghambat utama. Penelitian memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan model pembelajaran matematika berbasis masalah kompleks untuk meningkatkan Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate how the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program is implemented in Higher Education. The learning process in Indonesia is currently no longer limited to the classroom or formal academic environment. The acquisition of knowledge and skills obtained for the community can be through work experience, training, and non-formal activities. The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program is designed to recognize and validate knowledge and skills obtained outside of formal education, by providing academic credits equivalent to the results of learning in the classroom. RPL serves as an important bridge for students to utilize their experiences and accelerate the completion of studies in higher education. This research method is descriptive-quantitative with 73 students as research subjects. The results showed that this RPL program received a positive response and became the choice of students in continuing their studies. Regarding the stages of the RPL program learning activities, 66.7% of newly registered students strongly agreed and 33.3% agreed that the learning activities encouraged students' curiosity because the material studied was linear with their field of work. Regarding the benefits of the RPL program, 84.2% of RPL students strongly agreed and 15.8% agreed that during the RPL program they gained a lot of new experiences and knowledge that could be implemented in their work. This RPL program contributes to workers to gain access to education, improve competency, obtain a bachelor's degree and support career plans. Thus, the implementation of RPL must be guaranteed in quality so that graduates have standardized graduate achievement quality
