Abstract

The indigenous Kajang Ilalang Embayya community in Bulukumba, who adhere to the Patuntung faith, often face implicit violence such as negative stigma, discrimination, cultural norms, and social structures due to the conservatism of their local beliefs. This study aims to uncover the implicit violence experienced by Patuntung adherents, explore the existence strategies of the Patuntung belief system, and evaluate the effectiveness of cognitive disputation techniques in multicultural counseling from Albert Ellis' perspective to reduce negative stigma. This research uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design and quantitative statistical analysis to assess changes after the intervention. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires, then analyzed using Atlas.Ti and JASP software. The results show that implicit violence stems from stigmatization, discrimination, cultural norms, and social structures, with 51.3% of respondents falling into the moderate category of committing implicit violence. The intervention using cognitive disputation techniques in multicultural counseling showed a significant reduction in negative stigma, as evidenced by the paired sample t-test with α: 0.001<0.05 and a t-value = 29.283 > t-table = 3.851. The study concludes that cognitive disputation techniques are effective in reducing negative stigma, contributing to efforts to preserve local conservatism amidst the implicit violence faced.   Masyarakat adat Kajang Ilalang Embayya di Bulukumba, yang menganut kepercayaan Patuntung, sering menghadapi kekerasan implisit seperti stigma negatif, diskriminasi, norma budaya, dan struktur sosial akibat konservatisme kepercayaan lokal mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kekerasan implisit yang dialami oleh penganut Patuntung, mengeksplorasi strategi eksistensi kepercayaan Patuntung, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas teknik disputasi kognitif dalam konseling multikultural perspektif Albert Ellis untuk mengurangi stigma negatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain etnografi serta analisis statistik kuantitatif untuk menilai perubahan setelah intervensi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan kuesioner, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Atlas.Ti dan JASP. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kekerasan implisit berasal dari stigmatisasi, diskriminasi, norma budaya, dan struktur sosial, dengan 51,3% responden berada dalam kategori sedang melakukan kekerasan implisit. Intervensi menggunakan teknik disputasi kognitif dalam konseling multikultural menunjukkan penurunan signifikan dalam stigma negatif, dibuktikan melalui uji t berpasangan (paired sample t-test) dengan α: 0,001<0,05 dan hasil t hitung = 29,283 > t-tabel = 3,851. Kesimpulannya, teknik disputasi kognitif efektif dalam mengurangi stigma negatif, serta mendukung upaya mempertahankan konservatisme lokal di tengah kekerasan implisit yang dihadapi.

Abstract

This study explores the values ​​of peaceful character in the sureq I La Galigo episode Mula Rioluna Batara Guru which aims to identify and analyze the values ​​of To Ugi's peaceful character contained in the sureq I La Galigo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a Wilhelm Dilthey hermeneutic approach, by interpreting the script (sureq) based on experience, expression, and understanding of Bugis culture. The results of the reserch show that the values ​​of To Ugi's peaceful character in the sureq La Galigo episode Mula Rioluna Batara Guru include, a good heart, caution and alertness to avoid danger, the appropriateness of speech and actions 'adanagau' or conformity and action, not arrogant or humble, thinking before acting, togetherness (mutual cooperation), honesty and true words (lempu sibawa ada tongeng), loyalty (solidarity), friendship, and responsibility and affection which are integral parts in building a harmonious and peaceful social life. In the midst of the development of the era that brings moral challenges to the younger generation, understanding local cultural values ​​is important as a foundation for peaceful character education. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of integrating peaceful character values ​​in learning and social life to form individuals who are moral and have peaceful characters.

Abstract

Studi ini berfokus pada pengembangan modul Konseling  rasa yukur dan integrasi spiritualitas teistik untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis wanita tuna susila di Mattiro Deceng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencapai beberapa tujuan: Pertama, menilai kebutuhan akan modul dan spiritualitas tersebut dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan. Kedua, menciptakan prototipe modul Konseling  rasa syukur dan spiritualitas teistik yang disesuaikan untuk mengatasi kebutuhan kesejahteraan kelompok sasaran. Ketiga, menentukan validitas dan praktikalitas modul-modul tersebut. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi sebagai instrumen penelitian, dengan menerapkan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan menunjukkan hal berikut: Pertama, para penerima manfaat di Mattiro Deceng menunjukkan tingkat kesejahteraan psikologis yang rendah, menegaskan perlunya bimbingan melalui modul. Kedua, prototipe modul GCouns mencakup materi tentang konseling syukur, spiritualitas teistik, dan topik-topik relevan seperti kesadaran diri, arah hidup, dan penghargaan lingkungan, bersama dengan lembar aktivitas. Ketiga, penilaian oleh ahli materi dan media menghasilkan skor validitas tinggi masing-masing sebesar 91,6% dan 95%. Keempat, evaluasi oleh pekerja sosial dan penerima manfaat menunjukkan praktikalitas dan efektivitas modul dengan skor masing-masing sebesar 94% dan 95%, menunjukkan kegunaan dan kelayakan.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Desa Botto di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, Sulawesi Barat, menghadapi persoalan serius seperti pergaulan bebas, pernikahan usia anak, dan putus sekolah, meskipun memiliki budaya leluhur yang kuat dan mayoritas penduduk beragama Islam. Tujuan: Mendukung terwujudnya Desa anti pernikahan anak melalui program GERHANA (Gerakan Anti Pernikahan Anak). Metode: Metode pelaksanaan proyek kemanusian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kolaboratif yang mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan keberlanjutan. Hasil: Pelaksanaan program proyek kemanusiaan ini menghasilkan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai bahaya pernikahan anak dan lahirnya remaja yang lebih mandiri, kreatif, dan berjiwa wirausaha, serta melahirkan pula agen pelopor sebaya, yang memperkuat suara kolektif masyarakat melalui pangung ekpresi. Kesimpulan: Program GERHANA menjadi langkah preventif pernikahan anak dan pemberdayaan remaja demi masa depan Desa Botto yang lebih berkualitas.

Abstract

This study examines the genogram technique's implementation and effectiveness in enhancing students' career maturity at SMAN 2 Jeneponto. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent control group design. The study population consisted of 30 eleventh-grade science students, with a sample of 20 students divided into two groups: 10 in the experimental group and 10 in the control group. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations and then analyzed using descriptive statistics and a t-test. The results showed that implementing the genogram technique over five sessions significantly improved students' career maturity. Students in the experimental group demonstrated high levels of participation and greater improvements in career maturity scores compared to those in the control group. In conclusion, the genogram technique proved effective in helping students understand their career choices. These findings have important implications for school guidance and counseling practices, particularly in career guidance services. The use of genograms is effective in helping students explore their family's career background and develop greater self-awareness about their career decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the academic procrastination behavior of students at SMA Negeri 26 Bone and evaluate the Self-Management technique's effectiveness in reducing such behavior. The study uses a quantitative approach with a Single Subject Research (SSR) method and an A-B-A design. The subjects were two second-year students with high levels of academic procrastination. Data were collected through observations and interviews and then analyzed descriptively and visually. The results show that the subjects' academic procrastination was high before the intervention. After applying the Self-Management technique, there was a significant decrease in their procrastination behavior. In conclusion, the Self-Management technique effectively reduces academic procrastination among students at SMA Negeri 26 Bone. The implications of this study provide a basis for teachers and counselors to implement Self-Management techniques as an intervention strategy to improve students' learning discipline and academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and uncover the meaning of integrating To-Riolo's philosophical thought into counselor communication skills grounded in Bugis cultural values. Employing a qualitative research design, the study uses the Gadamerian hermeneutic method, which emphasizes the analysis of the part and whole to understand and interpret the text deeply. The findings reveal several key communication skills embedded in To-Riolo's teachings: orderly communication (mattarêtte'), communication-based on ade,' rapang, and enrênnge madecennge gau (traditional norms and ethical considerations), and empathic listening as expressed through concepts such as iisênngi riolo'paunna (understanding the words of predecessors), naisseng to rapannge (understanding the interlocutor), ênrênnge adê’e (weighing norms), kuae wari'e (considering timing and context), and naenngêrranngi madecennge paunna' patujue ênrênnge gau' patujue (attentively listening to words and actions that are appropriate). This study implies that these culturally rooted communication skills can be developed into a culturally sensitive model for counselor communication within the Bugis community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menelaah penerapan teknik genogram untuk meningkatkan kematangan karier siswa di SMAN 2 Jeneponto. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Bagaimana pelaksanaan teknik genogram untuk meningkatkan kematangan karir siswa di SMAN 2 Jeneponto dan Apakah teknik genogram dapat meningkatkan kematangan karir siswa di SMAN 2 Jeneponto?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan teknik genogram untuk meningkatkan kematangan karier siswa di SMAN 2 Jeneponto, dan Untuk mengetahui teknik genogram dapat meningkatkan kematangan karier siswa di SMAN 2 Jeneponto. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang siswa yang terdiri dari 9 orang siswa kelas XI MIA 1, 8 orang siswa kelas XI MIA 2, 6 orang siswa kelas XI MIA 3, dan 7 orang siswa kelas XI MIA 4, dan sampel sebanyak 20 orang siswa, 10 orang siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan 10 orang siswa kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui angket dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan uji t Test dengan uji statistik independen sample t test. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu: Pelaksanaan teknik genogram dilaksanakan sesuai dengan prosedur yang telah dirancang melalui lima kali pertemuan yaitu pemberian informasi (orientasi bimbingan karier dan teknik genogram), konstruksi genogram, pengumuman jabatan, eksplorasi diri, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Pada saat pelaksanaan teknik genogram, partisipasi siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, serta penggunaan teknik genogram efektif untuk meningkatkan kematangan karier siswa secara signifikan di SMAN 2 Jeneponto.
