Abstract

The film 3 Srikandi tells the true story of the struggle of three Indonesian female archery athletes at the Seoul Olympics in 2988, this film is an important example in the representation of stereotypes of women in the socio-cultural life of the Indonesian people which is packaged naturally in national cinema. The purpose of this study is to find out the representation of stereotypes of women reflected in the film 3 Srikandi through Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research with a semiotic analysis approach method. The research data is in the form of fragments of sentences, dialogues and scene images that show the stereotypes of women in the film 3 Srikandi. The results of the study show that the film 3 Srikandi not only shows the story of the struggle of the three main characters but, on the other hand, it also shows many stereotypes of women who are still thriving in the socio-cultural life of Indonesian society, such as women often feel dilemmas when choosing between their careers and personal lives, women are figures who pay attention to physical beauty, women are figures who are synonymous with tenderness but On the other hand, they are able to do hard work like men, women are strong figures in facing any situation, women are figures who have high dedication and never give up if they have a dream, and women as figures who provide warmth and emotional support to fellow women.

Abstract

Learning history in the classroom, which tends to be monotonous and boring, leads to a decline in students' understanding of the material presented. This issue needs attention and innovative learning approaches, such as direct learning from historical sources through Field Work activities. The aim of this research is to assess the utilization and relevance of Prambanan Temple as a historical learning resource for students of Tadris IPS at IAIN Kudus. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include data gathering, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that Prambanan Temple is appropriate and relevant as a historical learning resource because it aligns with the Indonesian Cultural History course in the 4th semester, specifically the subchapter on Hinduization: Religion, Language, Literature, Architecture, Sculpture, and Relief, which explains how Hinduism entered Indonesia, the society of that era, and the architectural style used in the creation of temple reliefs. Additionally, learning through fieldwork can provide students with a more holistic, contextual, and memorable learning experience, enhancing their understanding and pride in national cultural heritage.

Abstract

Local traditions that persist amid changing times reflect deep social meanings embedded in cultural practices. One such tradition is Sewu Sempol, a grave-offering ritual carried out by the people of Hamlet Masin, Kandangmas Village, Kudus, every last Thursday of the month of Ruwah (Sya'ban). This study aims to describe the implementation of the tradition and analyze it using Max Weber’s theory of social action. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, presentation of findings, and drawing conclusions. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with community leaders and local residents, as well as visual documentation. Data sources were obtained from active participants in the tradition and relevant literature. The findings show that people carry out this tradition as traditional action, since it is inherited through generations; as goal-oriented action, in hope of safety and blessings; as value-oriented action, because it is considered morally and spiritually noble; and as affective action, driven by emotions of gratitude and reverence for ancestors. These four types of social action form a complex social meaning behind the preservation of the Sewu Sempol tradition within the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pendidikan multikultural di SMK Kristen Nusantara Kudus dapat membangun harmoni dan toleransi dalam keberagaman agama. Masalah yang diteliti mencakup implementasi pendidikan multikultural dalam kebijakan sekolah, proses pembelajaran, dan interaksi sosial siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian lapangan, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural yang diterapkan di SMK Kristen Nusantara Kudus melalui kebijakan non-diskriminatif, kurikulum inklusif, serta pembelajaran berbasis diskusi dan kerja kelompok. Siswa menunjukkan sikap saling menghargai, solidaritas, dan kerja sama dalam kehidupan sekolah. Sekolah juga menyediakan fasilitas ibadah dan menanamkan nilai keberagaman dalam berbagai kegiatan dan materi pembelajaran. Meskipun masih ada tantangan, kebijakan yang diterapkan telah menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang harmonis. Pendidikan multikultural terbukti menjadi strategi efektif dalam membangun harmoni dan toleransi dalam keberagaman agama di SMK Kristen Nusantara Kudus.

Abstract

Cooperation has become an important skill in modern education, which emphasizes the development of social skills and soft skills in addition to the mastery of knowledge. This study aims to assess the application of the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning method in developing the cooperation skills of grade VII F students at SMP 3 Kudus. Using a classroom action research method with the Kemmis and Taggart model, this research goes through four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, the results of which are analyzed to determine the next step. A total of 30 students from class VII F at SMP 3 Kudus were involved as subjects of this study. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) with the Teams Games Tournament cooperative model  in grade VII F SMP 3 Kudus has been prepared in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 12 of 2024, with an increase in time management and the use of learning media in cycle II. The application of this method has succeeded in increasing student involvement in cooperation, where teachers play the role of facilitators in learning. This study recorded an increase in students' cooperation skills from an average of 62.7% in the first cycle to 80.1% in the second cycle, showing an increase of 17.4%. The findings of this research provide practical benefits for educators by demonstrating an effective approach to fostering cooperation skills through the TGT cooperative learning model. Moreover, the study contributes to the enrichment of pedagogical strategies that align with modern educational demands, helping to create an interactive and student-centered learning environment. This research also serves as a reference for future studies aiming to explore innovative teaching methods to enhance soft skills in secondary education settings.
