Abstract

Islamic religious education is one of the important roles in the progress of the nation. The literacy program is one of the keys to student success in the learning process, especially in the subject of Islamic cultural history. At MTs Darul Ulum Waru Sidoarjo, the challenges in learning Islamic cultural history are the low understanding explained by the teacher and the low interest of students. This study aims to determine the learning interest that is improved in MTs students. Darul Ulum Waru Sidoarjo To find out the implementation of the reading literacy program in increasing student interest in learning at MTs Darul Ulum Sidoarjo To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the reading literacy program in increasing student interest in learning at MTs Darul Ulum Sidoarjo. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the literacy program implemented at MTs. Darul Ulum Waru Sidoarjo, carried out through several activities such as reading and writing habits carried out every Monday and once a month, developing a culture of literacy by providing a mini library in each class. The results also show that the literacy program is effective in increasing students' interest in learning the subject of Islamic cultural history with the activities of reading books, writing, discussion and presentation related to the subject of Islamic cultural history. This is evidenced by the increase in student participation in learning takes place, student learning outcomes have increased and the emergence of curiosity and enthusiasm of students in studying the history of Islamic culture.

Abstract

Lingkungan merupakan bagian penting dari kehidupan manusia, yang perlu dijaga untuk menciptakan keharmonisan diantara manusia. Mahasiswa Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya (UNSURI) melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian di Kampung joyoboyo Wonokromo Surabaya dengan fokus pada Membumikan dan memberikan pemahaman Agama Islam yang sering diabaikan oleh masyarakat sekitar. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan setiap satu bulan sekali ini mencakup Khotmil Qur’an serta dilanjutkan dengan pemahaman Tafsir Al-Qur’an Yang di ikuti warga sekitar dan Remaja masjid Husnul Khotimah. Program ini menggunakan pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) yang menekankan pada pendayagunaan aset dan potensi masyarakat di kampung joyoboyo kelurahan sawunggaling kecamatan wonokromo kota Surabaya. kemudian berkumpul menjadi sebuah komunitas untuk dijadikan platform advokasi keadilan sosial. Agar potensi yang dimiliki massyrakat dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal maka teknik ABCD sangat tepat diterapkan di Kecamatan wonokromo. dimana tradisi keagamaan masyarakat kampung joyoboyo kelurahan sawunggaling kecamatan wonokromo kota Surabaya dipraktekkan. Banyaknya kehadiran TPQ dan Madin menunjukkan bahwa kampung joyoboyo kelurahan sawunggaling kecamatan wonokromo kota Surabaya memiliki nuansa yang sangat religious rangkaian acaranya sebagai berikut Khotmil Al-Qur’an oleh masyarakat yang hadir Kemudian Ditutup dengan kajian tafsir Al-Qur’an plus Do’a. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan Antusias warga dalam pengamalan ilmu agama islam yang telah di sampaikan sehingga dapat di aplikasikan di kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui partisipasi aktif, kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas Warga setempat, tetapi juga meningkatkan nilai-nilai spiritual dan sosial di Kampung joyoboyo Wonokromo Surabaya.

Abstract

Kemerosotan moral, penurunan jati diri bangsa dan hilangnya nilai-nilai luhur di kalangan pemuda merupakan tantangan yang mendesak. Pola pikir, sikap, dan perilaku generasi muda sangat dipengaruhi oleh arus informasi global yang didominasi oleh budaya asing. Generasi muda, sebagai penerus bangsa, sering kali terpapar pada berbagai pengaruh negatif yang dapat mengikis akhlak dan karakter religius mereka. Maka, usaha untuk peningkatan karakter religius pada anak usia muda yang menjadi generasi penerus sangat penting dilakukan. Seni al-banjari atau dikenal juga dengan sebutan habsyi merupakan salah satu seni tradisi Islam. Kesenian al-banjari ini meliputi lantunan syair, nasyid, dan pembacaan sholawat-sholawat kepada nabi disertai bunyi gendang atau rebana yang terdengar. Puisi dalam seni al-banjari memuat sholawat atau ucapan syukur yang ditujukan kepada nabi Muhammad SAW. Kesenian al-banjari biasanya ditampilkan pada saat hari raya Islam, antara lain tabligh akbar dan peringatan maulid nabi. Pelaksana melihat adanya potensi yang dimiliki santri, masyarakat, anak-anak dan remaja di sekitar dalam majelis dan pelatihan hadrah. Santri yang tergolong masih dalam jenjang sekolah dasar terlihat antusias untuk bermain banjari. Oleh karena itu, mereka perlu dibimbing agar meningkatkan seni religius, cinta pada Rosulullah serta bisa bermain banjari dengan benar yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup sesuai dengan yang diajarkan oleh Rosulullah SAW.

Abstract

Caring for a corpse is an action that needs to be learned because in the Islamic religion it is obligatory if there is no one to carry it out. This community service aims to increase understanding about corpse care in theory and increase understanding about corpse care in practice at the Nurul Mushofa Islamic Boarding School, Tambak Lekok Village and Darun Najah MTs, Tampung Lekok Village, Pasuruan. Basic research on this service activity was carried out using the Participatory Action Research method. The results of this service show that students at the Nurul Mushofa Islamic Boarding School, Tambak Lekok Village and students at MTs Darun Najah, Tampung Lekok Village, Pasuruan have increased their understanding of theoretical and practical corpse care.

Abstract

The free health check outreach program which was held on August 19 2024 in the environment around campus aims to increase awareness and knowledge of the health of the surrounding community. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), this program involves students and residents in the environment around Sunan Giri University Surabaya. The results of the outreach show that it has succeeded in increasing health awareness and knowledge among the community. The success of this program is supported by the use of clear and interactive communication techniques, and also indicates the need for adjustments in information delivery methods for various audience groups. These findings suggest the need for the development of more inclusive health intervention models and studies of the long-term impacts of such programs to strengthen positive outcomes on public health.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills in fiqh subjects at SMA Islam Parlaungan Waru Sidoarjo. The research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of PBL was carried out through several stages: orienting students to the problem, organizing to analyze, finding solutions, and developing and evaluating results. This model proved effective in improving three main aspects of students' critical thinking, namely the ability to distinguish fact and fiction, distinguish constructive and destructive criticism, and the ability to make decisions from the results of problem solving. In addition, the application of PBL also provides space for students to actively discuss, enrich literacy, and develop self-confidence. Supporting factors for the successful implementation of this model include teacher readiness, adequate learning media and learning environment support. However, there were also obstacles such as time constraints and differences in student characters. In general, PBL is effective in fostering students' critical thinking, especially in understanding and applying fiqh material contextually

Abstract

Pluralist-oriented education in principle has been applied in the modern cottage education system. This education has been included in the formal curriculum system and everyday learning processes. With the existing system, modern Islamic boarding schools have the potential to develop pluralist-oriented education, and deserve to be a successful example of the implementation of pluralist education. Although there are still some aspects that need to be further developed and refined. Darussalam Gontor boarding school is the first modern boarding school in Indonesia. Characteristics of modern boarding schools trying to combine traditionality and modernity of education. Wetonan and sorogan teaching systems were replaced with a classical system (in-class teaching) that was tiered and the integrated curriculum was adopted with certain adjustments. The dichotomy of religion and general science is also eliminated.

Abstract

Mathematics for elementary school students is useful for the interests of life in their environment, to develop their mindset, and to study later sciences. The usefulness or benefits of mathematics for elementary school students are clear and does not need to be questioned anymore, especially in the era of development of science and technology today. Based on ATP mathematics students can explain the steps to solve mathematical sentences with subtraction and addition on whole numbers up to 100. The purpose of this study is to provide students with an understanding of the concept of mathematical sentences using Wayang PERANG media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were 28 students of grade III SDN Klurak Candi Sidoarjo. There are two sources of data used in this study, namely written test questions and interview results (as primary data sources) and documentation (as secondary data sources). Data analysis is in the form of data triangulation of test results, interviews, and observation results. The results of the study showed that the value of category 3 student abilities with a score of 76≤100 had a percentage value of 80.26%, and a score of 61≤75 still had 19.73% while a score of 0≤60 was still at the highest percentage value of 10.53%.

Abstract

This study discusses the strategy of using digital-based learning media in increasing learning motivation in Fiqh subjects. The background of this study is rooted in the need to make learning more interesting and relevant to students. Fiqh subjects often contain abstract and complex concepts, which can be challenging for students to understand and apply in their daily lives. In addition, digital media allows flexibility in learning, gives access to materials anytime and anywhere, and provides real-time feedback which is invaluable to the learning process. All of these contribute to increasing students' learning motivation, making Fiqh learning more interesting and effective. The purpose of the strategy of using digital-based learning media in improving learning motivation in Fiqh subject is to create a more interactive, and relevant learning experience for students. By using digital technology, it is expected that students can more easily understand and apply Fiqh concepts that are often abstract and complex. Digital media allows teachers to present material visually and dynamically through videos, animations and simulations, so that the concepts taught become more concrete and interesting.
