Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence, self-confidence and self-regulated learning on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Mathematical reasoning is an important ability that needs to be developed in learning mathematics. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. The independent variables in this research are emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and learning independence, while the dependent variable is mathematical reasoning ability. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires to measure the variables emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and self-regulated learning, as well as mathematical reasoning ability tests. Data analysis uses multiple regression statistical techniques to test the relationship between variables. It is hoped that the research results will provide insight into the role of psychological factors in developing students' mathematical reasoning abilities, as well as being a consideration in designing more effective mathematics learning strategies.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems can be interpreted as a potential possessed by students so that they can solve mathematical problems in solving mathematical problems. This quantitative research explains the mathematical problem-solving ability of students by implementing the SOLE (Self Organized Learning Environments) learning model and self-regulated learning of students as a controller. Participants in this study totaled 61 students in junior high school, with details of 30 students studying using the SOLE model and 31 students studying with the conventional model. The tools used to collect data are questionnaires and essay tests. The hypothesis test uses the one-way ancova test, the result of the hypothesis test is that there is an influence of the SOLE learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability by controlling self-regulated learning and there is an influence of self-regulated learning covariate variables on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, and there is a simultaneous influence of the SOLE learning model and self-regulated learning on mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

The ability that can support success in the learning process and can solve various mathematical problems is the ability to solve mathematical problems. This research is related to quantitative research which examines students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the HLT model and mathematical disposition as covariate variables. This research aims to determine the effect of the HLT model on mathematical problem solving abilities by controlling students' mathematical dispositions, and the influence of mathematical dispositions on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, as well as the simultaneous influence of the HLT model and mathematical disposition on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. 70 junior high school students using cluster random sampling, where 35 students studied using the HLT model and 35 students studied using the direct instruction model. The tools used to collect data are a mathematical disposition questionnaire and a description test of mathematical problem solving abilities. This data analysis uses analysis of covariance (one-way ANCOVA). The results of the hypothesis test show that there is an influence of the mathematical disposition covariate variable by controlling students' mathematical disposition and there is an influence of the mathematical disposition covariate variable on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, and there is a simultaneous influence of the HLT model and mathematical disposition on students' mathematical problem solving abilities

This quantitative research examines students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by applying the ROLEM learning model and self-efficacy as a control. The subjects of this study were 60 high school students, with 30 students learning using the ROLEM model and 30 students using the discovery learning model. The data collection tools consisted of a self-efficacy questionnaire with 20 statements and a mathematical problem-solving essay test with 5 questions. Data analysis used one-way ANCOVA.
