Abstract

The background of this research is the problem that there is no use of the right learning model. the use of media that is less varied, in the teaching and learning process the teacher has not been able to create active and fun learning, students are less interested in the learning provided by the teacher. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation, understanding of student learning concepts in learning. The method in this study uses an action research model which was developed through four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The flow of this research was carried out in two cycles. The results of the research show that the application, approach to learning models can analyze the learning process, the activeness of students in the learning process increases

Abstract

This qualitative case study explores academic inclusion and the development of students with autism at SD Negeri Bojong 1 Pinang, Tangerang City. The study involves various stakeholders, including the school principal, class teachers, inclusion teachers, and students with autism. SD Negeri Bojong Pinang 1 adopts an inclusive approach with specific enrollment criteria for students with autism, fostering collaboration between inclusion and class teachers. Challenges include addressing the independent learning tendencies of students with autism. Effective teaching strategies and individual-focused approaches are pivotal for establishing an inclusive and supportive educational environment. The discussion encompasses academic inclusion management, emphasizing facility utilization and the pivotal role of dedicated inclusion teachers. Autism characteristics, classified based on developmental stages and behavioral symptoms, are delineated. The study concludes that SD Negeri Bojong 1 Pinang serves as an exemplar of an inclusive educational institution with collaborative teaching approaches, contributing valuable insights into educating children with autism within an inclusive school context.

Abstract

Teaching materials are a set of learning resources packaged in printed or non-printed form, containing a collection of information and content systematically organized to benefit both students and teachers in the learning process. This development research aims to explore the process of developing an encyclopedia-based teaching material specifically for Science (IPA) learning in Grade V at SDN 15 Kota Tangerang, as well as to determine the effectiveness and quality of the teaching materials based on validity and practicality aspects as evaluated by media experts, subject matter experts, educators, and student responses. The research method employed is the 4D Research and Development model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The results of this research and development indicate that the validity score from media experts is 4.8, and from subject matter experts is 4.4—both falling under the category of "very good" and deemed appropriate for use. Furthermore, the practicality score from educators is 4.9, and the practicality score based on student responses is 4.5, categorized as "very practical." Based on these validation results, the teaching material developed by the researcher is considered practical and suitable for use.
