Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe the role of driving teachers, the values of driving teachers, and the role and values of driving teachers as well as the challenges in implementing the role and values of driving teachers in improving the quality of education at SMPN 23 Simbang and SMPN 22 Bantimuring, Maros Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection procedures in this research were interviews, observation, documentation and using source triangulation. There are five motivating teacher roles implemented at SMPN 23 Simbang and SMPN 22 Bantimurung. The role in question is being a learning leader, being a coach for other teachers, encouraging collaboration, realizing student leadership (student agency), mobilizing a community of practitioners... There are also five driving teacher values implemented at SMPN 23 Simbang and SMPN 22 Bantimurung, Maros Regency. These values are Student-Supporting, Independent, Reflective, Collaborative, and Innovative. There are several challenges faced in implementing the role and value of driving teachers, including: Limited resources, lack of understanding from other people, cultural changes and resistance to change, as well as student diversity and individual needs, and limited time and busy schedules. From the challenges faced, several alternative solutions that can be implemented are by holding training and professional development, as well as allocating adequate resources, establishing open and collaborative communication between all stakeholders, and optimizing existing (physical and non-physical) assets. This is also very relevant to the 10 concepts of educational quality management initiated by Edward Sallis.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and describe the motivation of class VII students in implementing differentiated social studies learning at SMPN 13 Bontoa, Maros Regency. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data source used is the primary data source. The subjects of this research were 3 class VII students at SMPN 13 Bontoa, Maros Regency with the criteria for high, medium and low learning motivation in differentiated social studies learning. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this research show that students with high learning motivation criteria have high differentiated social studies learning motivation, this is seen based on the five motivation indicators, of which four meet the learning motivation variable. Then, based on the five indicators studied, students with medium and low learning motivation criteria only met one learning motivation variable. However, students with medium learning motivation criteria have higher differentiated social studies learning motivation than students with low criteria. This can be seen based on the items that medium criteria students do not always fulfill, namely 5 items, while low criteria students do not always fulfill 8 items out of a total of 13 items studied.

Abstract

The research aims to determine 1) the relationship between the principal's leadership style and the quality of teacher work at SDN 30 Panaikang, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency. 2) the relationship between the principal's interpersonal skills and the quality of teacher work at SDN 30 Panaikang, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency. 3) To determine the relationship between the principal's leadership style and interpersonal skills on the quality of teacher work at SDN 30 Panaikang, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency. The type of research used is quantitative research. The research location is SDN 30 Panaikang, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency. The population in this study were all teachers, where the sample consisted of 10 teachers. The data analysis techniques used are research instrument testing, analysis prerequisite testing, descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. The results of the research show that 1) there is a relationship between the principal's leadership style and the quality of teacher work at SDN 30 Panaikang, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency based on a sig value of 0.014 0.05, 2) there is a relationship between the principal's interpersonal skills and the quality of teacher work at SDN 30 Panaikang, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency based on a sig value of 0.015 0.05, 3) Leadership Skills and Interpersonal Style have "strong" relationship to the quality of teacher work at SDN 30 Panaikang, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency in the range of 0.60-0.799.

Pangkep. The type of research used is quantitative research. The research location is SD Negeri 18 Tumampua I, Pangakajene District, Pangkep Regency. The population in this research is all students, where the sample is 62 students. The data analysis techniques used are research instrument testing, analytical prerequisite testing, descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. The results of the research show that 1) there is a relationship between principal leadership and student competency at SD Negeri 18 Tumampua I, Pangakajene District, Pangkep Regency based on a sig value of 0.020 0.05, 2) there is a relationship between teacher professionalism and student competency at SD Negeri 18 Tumampua I, Pangakajene District, Pangkep Regency based on a sig value of 0.031 0.05, 3) Student Competence and Teacher Professionalism have a "medium" relationship with Student Teacher Competency at Tumampua I Public Elementary School, Pangkajene District, Pangkep Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the principal's strategy in improving teacher professionalism and the quality of social studies learning at SMAN 24 Pangkep. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study are the principal, supervisor, deputy principal and 3 science and technology maple teachers. The data collection techniques in this study use interviews, observations, and documentation while the data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn/verification.  The results of the study show that the strategy of the principal of SMAN 24 Pangkep in improving teacher professionalism has shown positive results, especially in curriculum development and teacher training. However, there is a need to improve teacher performance evaluation as well as monitoring and evaluating programs so that the results achieved are more optimal and sustainable. In terms of the quality of IPAS learning, learning planning and media facilitation as well as learning resources at SMAN 24 Pangkep have been going well. However, learning supervision and evaluation and follow-up on programs need to be improved to ensure the effectiveness and continuity of learning development. The improvement of teacher professionalism and the quality of science and technology learning at SMAN 24 Pangkep faces several obstacles, such as limited teacher competence in mastering innovative methods, lack of support for learning facilities, and lack of teacher training. In addition, obstacles in external cooperation also reduce the effectiveness of teaching and teacher competency development. To overcome these obstacles, solutions that can be implemented include the development of relevant teacher training programs, the provision of adequate learning facilities, and the optimization of school resources. Increased collaboration with external parties also needs to be done to support innovation and sustainability of educational development at SMAN 24 Pangkep.

Abstract

This study aims to increase interest in social studies learning through the use of Wordwall-based learning media in grade VI students of UPTD SDN 88 Barru, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency and improve social studies learning outcomes through the use of Wordwall-based learning media in grade VI students of UPTD SDN 88 Barru, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency. The research method used is classroom action research The subject of this research is a student of class VI UPTD SDN 88 Barru, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency with a total of 16 students, consisting of 8 boys and 8 girls. This research was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I which was carried out 3 meetings (the first and second meetings for the learning process and the third meeting for social studies learning outcome assessment activities) and cycle II was also carried out 3 meetings. The two cycles were carried out for 2 months plus summarizing all existing research results.  The results of the study show that the use of Wordwall-based learning media can increase students' interest in learning social studies in class VI UPTD SDN 88 Barru. This is evidenced by the increase in the average percentage of student learning interest indicators in each cycle. In the first cycle, the average percentage of student learning interest indicators was 57%. In the second cycle, there was a significant increase, namely by 26% to 83%. This means that the average percentage of student learning interest indicators has exceeded the set success criterion of 75%. The use of Wordwall-based learning media can improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the percentage of students who achieved KKM scores in the first cycle of 31%, increasing to 94% in the second cycle. This means that the number of students who have achieved the KKM score (70) has exceeded the set success criterion of 75%.
