Abstract

Wound care has developed very rapidly, especially in the last two decades which has been supported by advance health technology. In addition, the current issue of wound care management is related to changes in patient profiles which are increasingly accompanied by degenerative disease conditions and metabolic disorders. These conditions usually require proper treatment so that the healing process can be optimal, such as diabetes mellitus wounds. Based on these problems, innovation is needed that can help students learn about modern wound dressing in a book entitled wound book. It is an innovation in the form of a book to learn about proper and correct diabetic wound management and therapies that can accelerate the healing process of diabetic wounds with modern dressings. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of diabetic ulcers and dressings on the improvement of modern wound care knowledge in nurse students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. This was quantitative research that employed a one-group pretest-posttest design. The test was carried out to determine the improvement of knowledge before and after the study. The data were analyzed using the paired-sample t- test formula, in which it involved 30 nurse student. The result of the expert test showed that both media and material were in a very appropriate category. Moreover, the average scores were 4,64 and 4.60, respectively. The result above indicated that the average value of respondents' knowledge before and after being given a wound book media was 65.00 12.03 and 88.17 7,007, respectively. Meanwhile, the results of bivariate analysis using the paired-sample t-test revealed that the significance value was 0.000 (p-value 0.005).

Abstract

Background: The use of social media can enhance interpersonal relationships, serve as a medium for personal growth and expression, and expand knowledge and information. However, social media use can also impact a person's self-esteem, quality of life, academic performance, Body Mass Index, and, most importantly, psychological diseases such as depression. The high rates of anxiety and sadness among students can be affected by the excessive use of social media.. Objective: This research to identify the correlation between To determine the correlation between the intensity of using Instagram social media and the level of anxiety in Nursing Students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Method: Cross-sectional approach was used as the research method. The sample of this research is the 6th semester of Nursing Students with Proportional Random Sampling Technique with 72 respondents. Chi-Square Test was used to analyze the data. Results: The average age of the respondents was 21 years, and 58 were primarily female. There is a correlation between the intensity of students' Instagram use; the Medium category as many as 36 (50%) respondents. At the Student Anxiety Level, 47 (65.3%) respondents were in the Moderate Anxiety category, with the Chi-Square test results obtaining a p-value = 0.001 (p<0.05). Conclusion: The prevalence of Instagram among social media users impacts nursing students' anxiety levels. According to the findings of this study, there was a correlation between the students' anxiety levels and their intensity of the use of Instagram social media at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto.

Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease that originates from the Aedes aegypti mosquito, especially in tropical areas. The spread of DHF is increasing, this is indicated by the high prevalence of the disease and the rapid increase in the number of DHF cases in Indonesia. Dengue fever cases will become the center of attention for health in Indonesia in the coming years. Objective: To find out differences in knowledge and behavior of dengue prevention in the community. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a case control design. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a total sample of 44 respondents, 22 groups had suffered from DHF and 22 groups had never suffered from DHF. The research was conducted in Ngalian Village, Wadaslintang District, Wonosobo Regency. Results: This study has an average knowledge of DHF prevention in people who have had DHF 7.36 and people who have never had DHF 8.36 Behavior of DHF prevention in people who have had DHF 19.31 , and people who have never had DHF 27 , after being carried out includes differences in knowledge and differences in dengue prevention behavior in the community in Ngalian Village, Wadaslintang District, Wonosobo Regency with a p-value of 0.005 (knowledge) and a p-value of 0.000 (behavior). Conclusion: This study shows that there are differences between the knowledge and behavior of DHF prevention in people who have had DHF and those who have not had DHF.

Abstract

Asthma is a chronic disease with a high prevalence, and its incidence is increasing both globally and nationally. A lack of knowledge about asthma management and first aid practices for asthma is a contributing factor to the high morbidity rates among asthma patients. Health education is expected to enhance asthma knowledge and first aid skills for individuals with asthma. To analyze the impact of asthma management health education on asthma knowledge and first aid skills. This quantitative study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach delivering the material through lectures and PowerPoint presentation. The study sample consisted of 36 respondents, selected using total sampling. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used for data analysis. Bivariate analysis results showed a significant difference in asthma knowledge and first aid skills before and after the health education intervention, p= 0,001. The significance level for this study was 0,05, indicating that asthma management health education significantly affects asthma knowledge and first aid practices Asthma management health education has a significant impact on improving asthma knowledge and first aid skills.
