Abstract

The snakehead (C. striata) is a freshwater fish species that inhabits swampy areas and rivers. It has high economic value, with its selling price determined per centimeter of its body length and is very useful in the medical and industrial sectors. Snakehead fish has good nutritional content, especially albumin. The growth of snakehead fryis largely determined by the quality of feed provided. This study aims to analyze the growth rate of snakehead fry by providing additional feed in the form of Tubifex sp. The experiment utilized four plastic aquariums measuring 40 x 30 x 30 cm, calipers, digital scales, a dissolved oxygen (DO) meter, a total dissolved solids (TDS) meter, and a pH meter. The materials used in the experiment included freshwater, fish pellets (PF 1000) produced by Prima Feed, snakehead fish, and silkworms. The research method used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: P1 (100% pellets), P2 (75% pellets + 25% silkworms), P3 (50% pellets + 50% silkworms), and P4 (25% pellets + 75% silk worms). Results indicated that the addition of silkworms significantly affected in the growth in weight, length, and width of snakehead fry. The best growth was observed in treatment P4 (25% pellets + 75% silk worms), with an average absolute length of 24.31±9.89 mm, an average absolute width of 3.41±1.66 mm, and an average absolute weight of 18.28±6.40 g.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V.B SD Negeri 55 Palembang dalam mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) melalui penerapan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). CRT merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan latar belakang budaya, nilai-nilai lokal, serta pengalaman hidup siswa ke dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga materi menjadi lebih relevan, kontekstual, dan bermakna. Pendekatan tersebut dikombinasikan dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL), yang menekankan pemecahan permasalahan nyata yang berasal dari lingkungan sekitar peserta didik. Penelitian dijalankan dengan menerapkan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Guru mengaitkan materi IPAS dengan budaya peserta didik, memberi ruang kepada peserta didik untuk berbagi pengalaman, serta melakukan pemetaan latar belakang budaya guna menyusun kelompok belajar heterogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya kenaikan yang signifikan dalam capaian belajar siswa; rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 63,70 pada tahap prasiklus, menjadi 72,59 pada siklus pertama, dan mencapai 86,67 pada siklus kedua. Ketuntasan belajar klasikal meningkat dari 37,04% menjadi 88,88%. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan pendekatan CRT mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih inklusif, menghormati keberagaman dan pencapaian belajar siswa secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Purpose: This service aimed to empower PKK members in Sungai Buaya Village by providing practical knowledge and skills to process butterfly pea flowers (Clitoria ternatea) into healthy herbal drinks. The goal was to promote a healthy lifestyle and create opportunities for home-based businesses using local resources. Methodology/approach: The method used was a participatory and educational workshop. Data were collected through observation, pre-surveys, structured questionnaires, and open interviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the training. Results/findings: The training successfully increased participants’ understanding of the health benefits of butterfly pea flowers and their ability to process them into herbal drinks. All 20 participants stated that they were able to make and package the product independently after the session. The evaluation showed a 100% positive response in knowledge, skills, and satisfaction levels, indicating strong community enthusiasm and potential for entrepreneurial development. Conclusion: The service effectively enhanced the participants' knowledge, skills, and motivation to utilize butterfly pea flowers for health and economic purposes. The success of the training suggests that similar community-based programs should be expanded and sustained, especially with additional sessions on ready-to-drink product development and small-scale marketing strategies. Limitations: Kendala utama meliputi durasi pelatihan yang singkat serta keterbatasan fasilitas yang menghambat penerapan mandiri hasil pelatihan. Contributions: This program contributes to empowering women through local resource utilization and provides a practical model for participatory training to develop community-based herbal products.
