Abstract

This article aims to discuss the movement of conventional recitations to virtual recitations in Islamic boarding schools. This article is the research result of a literature review on the transformation of the virtual recitation model through new media in the pesantren scope. This study aims to uncover the adaptation of pesantren toward the development of information and communication technology due to modernization and globalization. Besides, it also focuses on the efforts of pesantren in concerning the culture created by the latest media in pesantren to maintain it. The results of this study indicate that the advancement of information and communication technology in pesantren provides a great opportunity for pesantren to adapt by transforming the recitation system virtually, so that pesantren as a symbol of Islamic civilization is still recognized by modern society as a religious institution. The researcher argues that currently pesantren must open themselves to the advancement of information and communication technology through latest media, so that pesantren graduates are also able to develop Islamic syiar activities by utilizing latest media, which impacts to equip them to compete with global community.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia, as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, has vast potential for da’wah. However, the proliferation of religious activities has not fully reflected the success of da’wah in transforming people’s knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors according to Islamic teachings. This study focuses on the da’wah thought of KH. Moch. Djamaluddin Ahmad, or Yai Djamal, a charismatic scholar from Jombang known as a Sufi master and the caretaker of Pondok Pesantren Bumi Damai Al-Muhibbin. The research employs a library research method with a philosophical-qualitative approach to examine his thoughts, works, and da’wah practices. The findings reveal that Yai Djamal emphasizes Sufi-based da’wah through the transformation of Sufistic values along four main pathways: (1) practical Sufi education in daily life, (2) strengthening the role of pesantren as centers of Sufi education, (3) integrating Sufism into formal educational institutions, and (4) da’wah through religious gatherings, tarekat assemblies, and community routines. His Sufi-based da’wah thought has proven effective in shaping a religious society, strengthening spirituality, and fostering better social ethics. Thus, the Sufi-based da’wah of KH. Moch. Djamaluddin Ahmad makes a significant contribution to the development of an Islamic da’wah model that emphasizes morality, simplicity, and sustainable social transformation.

Abstract

This article describes the manifestation of religious moderatism in the Surabaya urban multicultural community. This study aims to reveal symbol of religious moderatism, involvement of figures in the practice of religious moderatism, religious rituals, and social values are manifested from the attitude of religious moderatism in the Surabaya urban multicultural community. The results of this study show that the religious tolerance that exists in multicultural and multi-religious communities in Surabaya is reflected in the manifestation of religious moderatism in the form of specific symbols shown by the people of Surabaya in social interaction. In addition, the involvement of community leaders, religious leaders, and regional leaders who work together to strengthen religious moderation also are needed. The attitudes and behaviour of Surabaya people in interacting with the multi-religious community. The Last, namely the form of values that appear in the civilized, balanced, tolerant behaviour of Surabaya people, deliberation, prioritizing priorities, spreading peace, dynamic and innovative, firm, the principle of equality, always taking the middle way or wasathiyyah. This study argues that the synergy of all parties plays an essential role in the growth, preservation, and development of religious moderatism in a multicultural metropolitan society.

Abstract

Indonesia’s rich cultural and religious diversity offers a unique context to explore how traditional arts contribute to social harmony. This article examines the Wayang Potehi performance at the Hong San Kiong Temple in Gudo, Jombang, and its role in promoting religious moderation. It highlights how performing arts are an inclusive platform that celebrates cultural and religious diversity, fostering tolerance and coexistence. The Hong San Kiong Temple, as a center for religious and cultural activities, provides an ideal setting to observe the integration of traditional arts like Wayang Potehi in pluralistic societies. The research uses a qualitative approach, including participatory observation, interviews, and document analysis, to understand how religious moderation is reflected in the performances. Findings indicate that Wayang Potehi conveys messages of moderation through its themes and the interaction between performers and audiences. These performances emphasize inclusivity, tolerance, and respect for diverse cultures and religions. The Hong San Kiong Temple’s efforts to promote religious moderation through these arts highlight a positive initiative that brings together diverse communities. This article offers valuable insights into how traditional arts can foster religious moderation and underscores the potential of performing arts in religious spaces to bridge divides in multicultural societies.

Abstract

Memanfaatkan media sosial dapat memberikan interaksi yang menghibur antar manusia tanpa memerlukan investasi waktu atau uang. Media sosial merupakan bagian dari media baru, atau media baru yang berbasis pada teknologi komunikasi yang dimediasi oleh informasi dan komunikasi (TIK).Instagram kini menjadi satu-satunya jaringan media sosial yang digunakan sebagai asisten pribadi. Salah satu aplikasi sederhana yang bisa dijadikan media dakwah adalah Instagram. Instagram juga dapat digambarkan sebagai aplikasi liar yang dapat mengambil dan mengedit foto dan video, memungkinkan pengguna mengunggah gambar, menerapkan filter digital, dan berbagi konten ke platform media sosial lainnya, termasuk Instagram itu sendiri. Unit analisis data terdiri dari seluruh atau beberapa postingan feed yang meminta komentar pengguna di akun Instagram @limproduction. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Alasan peneliti memilih pendekatan ini yaitu dikarenakan pendepeneloitianan secara analisis suatu peristiwa. Selain itu pendekatan kualitatif dapat menggambarkan pandangan realitas yang tidak bisa diukur secara numerik atau angka. Instagram mempunyai banyak fitur menarik yang diberikan bagi usernya. Beragam fitur Instagram memfasilitasi kemampuan pengguna untuk mengekspresikan diri secara kreatif. Selain itu, lihat juga Instagram @limproduction yang menggunakan fitur tersebut di atas untuk menggambarkan ajaran Islam melalui bagian feed, reels, follow, likes, dan comments. Bersama pengguna media sosial lainnya, @limproduction juga menerapkan strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dan memberikan bantuan dalam memahami pesan yang disampaikan. Selain itu, konten yang terdapat di akun Instagram @limproduction menawarkan wawasan segar dengan konten persuasif. Selanjutnya, desain grafis dan bahasa Indonesia yang mudah digunakan membuat anak lebih mudah belajar.Kata Kunci: Strategi, Dakwah, Instagram

Abstract

Pesantren La Raiba Hanifida merupakan salah satu pesantren di Jombang, Jawa Timur yang memiliki fokus pada pengembangan kecakapan komunikasi dan voksional santrinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pesantren dalam meningkatkan kecakapan komunikasi dan voksional santrinya. Penelitian ini berfokus pada 3 aspek: (1) Strategi Pesantren La Raiba Hanifida? (2) Apa faktor pendukung dan penghambat peningkatan kecakapan komunikasi dan vokasional santri? (3) Bagaimana dampak dari strategi pesantren dalam meningkatkan kecakapan komunikasi dan vokasional santri?. Di Pesantren La Raiba Hanifida di Jombang, terdapat beberapa inovasi dalam pengembangan kecakapan komunikasi dan vokasional santrinya. Berikut adalah beberapa hal yang menjadi ciri khas atau inovasi dalam pengembangan tersebut. Untuk memecahkan masalah dan mencari jawaban atas ketiga permasalahan tersebut, Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dengan pengasuh, pembina dan santri, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, Strategi pesantren La Raiba Hanifida adalah dengan melakukannya program training pasti aksi, Kedua, dengan dukungan strategi pengembangan kurikulum, pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, bimbingan dan konseling, pembentukan organisasi santri, Kerjasama dengan pihak luar. Faktor penghambatnya, yakni kecerdasan seseorang yang tidak sama, dan kurangnya motivasi diri dari santri. Dan efek dari strategi pesantren ini yaitu memiliki kemampuan komunikasi yang baik dan mampu mengaplikasikan ilmu pengetahuan yang diperolehnya untuk menjadi santri yang mandiri dan berdaya guna bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan poin penting untuk menjadikan siswa cerdas. Berintegritas dan bermoral untuk mempersiapkan mereka dalam menghadapi tantangan di masa depan melalui sikap positif, beretika dan tangguh. K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari merupakan tokoh pendidikan yang berfokus pada penanaman karakter bagi siswa melalui karya beliau Adabul Alim Wal Mutaallim. Pendampingan penggunaan media evaluasi adventure memiliki tujuan memberikan kmudahan bagi siswa menanamkan nilai karakter sebagai cara untuk menanggulangi dampak negatif perkembangan teknologi. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dengan metode Service Learning yakni survei, pendampingan dan refleksi berupa kegiatan evaluasi. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa 65% siswa merasa sangat puas dan 35% merasa puas atas kegiatan ini. Kegiatan ini berdampak positif pada perwujudan peningkatan nilai toleransi, kemandirian, ketelitian, kerja kerasm tanggung jawab dan bernalar kritis sebagai usaha pencapaian profil lulusan berbasis dimensi.
