Abstract

This study aims to explore how artificial intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, is utilized by students in the preparation and writing of scientific papers, and how it impacts their critical thinking skills. A descriptive qualitative approach combining literature review and interviews with students at the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Bima, which teaches a research methodology course, was used. Five informants were recruited. Information was obtained regarding ChatGPT usage patterns and students' perspectives on its contribution. Findings indicate that ChatGPT is generally used to outline papers, paraphrase, and check linguistic aspects such as grammar. Although this technology helps with efficiency, the quality of scientific papers assisted by ChatGPT remains a concern regarding originality, depth of analysis, and coherence of ideas. On the other hand, intelligent use of ChatGPT can support the development of critical thinking skills and creativity and facilitate students in completing scientific papers, especially in translating foreign terms. However, excessive reliance can actually weaken students' critical thinking skills. In addition, sometimes the use of ChatGPT in writing scientific papers can also result in violations of academic regulations and ethics. Therefore, it is necessary to use ChatGPT proportionally to maintain academic integrity and support a meaningful learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, social media, and social influence on the investment interest of Generation Z. The research is motivated by the increasing number of young investors in Indonesia, which is not always accompanied by sufficient financial understanding. A quantitative approach was used, employing multiple linear regression analysis. The population consisted of active students at STIE Bima aged 18–26 years, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS. The results show that financial literacy and social influence have a positive and significant effect on investment interest, while social media does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affect Generation Z’s investment interest, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 62.4%. These findings highlight the importance of financial education and social environment in shaping investment behavior among young people. This study contributes to the development of more effective and targeted investment education strategies for the digital-native generation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse PT. Shoes Bata Tbkl's Return On Assets (ROA) from 2014 to 2023 and find out how the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) affected it. The firm is having issues, as shown by the fact that its financial position is going through oscillations and a decrease in total assets and net profit. This is the backdrop to the study. This study makes use of quantitative methods of an associative kind. Secondary data is sourced from the company's yearly financial reports and is analysed using tools such as t-test, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, and basic linear regression analysis. According to the study findings, Return on Assets (ROA) is significantly and negatively affected by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), with a regression coefficient of -0.123 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). With a coefficient of determination of 0.535, we may deduce that ROA accounts for 53.5% of the variation in DER and that other, exogenous variables account for the remaining 46.5%. The bottom line is that ROA often falls when DER rises for a given organisation. This demonstrates how the inability to fully use assets to generate profits is a direct result of the company's heavy reliance on debt.

Abstract

The Impactful Campus Program at the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Bima is a strategic effort to improve students' academic quality through structured final project mentoring by supervisors. This activity aims to strengthen students' abilities in compiling scientific papers that are systematic, critical, and in accordance with research methodology principles. Mentoring is carried out intensively, starting from the title determination stage, compiling the final project into a worksheet template, collecting and analyzing data, and writing articles according to journal templates. The community service approach uses a participatory, educational approach and continuous mentoring through the preparation, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up stages. The results of this program show an increase in students' understanding of research concepts, accuracy in the use of methods, and better quality scientific writing. In addition, this mentoring also encourages students to produce outputs in the form of scientific articles that have the potential to be published. Thus, this program makes a real contribution to supporting the achievement of graduate competencies that are superior, adaptive, and competitive in academic and professional environments.

Abstract

This study examines the changes in digital finance among college students in the cashless society era, where the use of GrabFood and the online transaction platform OVO is increasing in daily activities. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach through interviews with five students active in the odd-even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year who use digital financial services using GrabFood to pay via OVO more than 5 times, as well as Generation Z born between 1997 and 2012. The results show that digital finance makes transactions easier and faster, but also encourages increased consumption and more spontaneous shopping decisions due to easy access and numerous promotions. On the other hand, the use of this system also provides benefits in the form of neater, more transparent, and easier to monitor financial records. In general, the transformation of digital finance not only changes the way students transact, but also influences their mindset and consumption habits. Therefore, digital financial literacy is crucial for students to manage their finances more wisely amidst increasingly rapid technological developments.
